[7/5, 11:55 AM] Emm: MESSAGE FROM:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

*Encounter the Spirit of Grace.*

Romans 5:15 (KJV)
*But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.*

The grace of God upon your life is what determines the happenings around you. Until you have an encounter with the Spirit of grace, you cannot be fully positioned to enjoy the manifold grace. The Holy Spirit is the personality behind the Spirit of grace.

Hebrews 10:29 (KJV)
*Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?*

1. The Holy Spirit impacts this grace on us to be enjoying favour and blessings.

Zechariah 12:10 (KJV)
*”…And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications…”*

2. It empowers us to conquer obstacles

Zechariah 4:6-9 (AMP)

Empowerment is released to conquer tough and difficult challenges. He says to Zerubbabel, the task before you can be described as a mountain but with my Spirit of grace upon you, it shall be a walk over. The same with everyone of us who has access to the Spirit of grace, nothing can stop us from going forward and making progress in life.

*How to access the Spirit of grace.*

A. *Be an Inhabitant of Jerusalem.*

Zechariah 12:10 (KJV)
*”…And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications…”*

Mount Zion which is the Church of Jesus Christ is the heavenly Jerusalem on earth.

Hebrews 12:22-24 (KJV)
*But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, [23] To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, [24] And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.*

The more you appear in church, as long as you are saved, the more grace is released on you. I believe, that is why satan and his agents are fighting to see that the Church of Jesus Christ is shut down.

B. *Be a Kingdom Visionary.*

Zechariah 4:9-10

Like Zerubabbel, let us be strategic and mindful of building God’s kingdom on earth by means of winning souls, raising true disciples, planting churches, taking over territories. Kingdom building will be confronted by satanic resistance but the annointing of the Spirit of grace will break every resistance.

C. *Approaching the throne of grace.*

Hebrews 4:16 KJV)
*Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.*

We must always approach the throne of grace through prayer. That is, whatever we desire, we must pray because prayer provokes the release of grace.

1. Thank you my heavenly Father for the gift of a new day.

2. Thank you my Father for your mercies and loving kindness towards me and my household.

3. Thank you my Father for daily supplying all my needs according to your riches in glory.

4. Matthew 7:7 (KJV)
*Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:*

O Lord my Father, I ask for the release of the Spirit of grace into my life in the mighty name of Jesus!

5. 2 Corinthians 9:8 (KJV)
*And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things , may abound to every good work:*

i. O Lord my God, release upon me grace for all sufficiency in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my Father, let your grace upon my life continue to multiply in Jesus mighty name!

6. Psalm 92:813 (KJV)
*Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.*

O Lord my God, plant my feet in your sanctuary. Let me not be off and on in the mighty name of Jesus!

8. Psalm 122:1 (KJV)
*I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord .*

O Lord my God, let appearing in your house be my delight in the mighty name of Jesus!

9. Isaiah 44:28 (KJV)
*That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.*

i. O Lord my God, grant me grace to always pursue your kingdom agenda in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my Father, make me a kingdom visionary in the mighty name of Jesus!

10. Psalm 102:14 (KJV)
*For thy servants ta0ke pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.*

i. Help me Lord to love what you love in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. Every power resisting the growth of the church in Lagos state crash in the mighty name of Jesus!

11. Zechariah 4:7 (KJV)
*Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying , Grace, grace unto it.*

i. I decree, every mountain opposing the spread of the gospel crash in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. I decree, every power and mountain resisting my progress crash in the mighty name of Jesus!

iii. I decree, every power resisting the destiny of my children crash in the mighty name of Jesus!

12. Zechariah 4:9 (KJV)
*The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.*

i. I decree, every abandoned project in my life, as Jesus rose form the grave, rise up now in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. I decree and declare, all good projects in my hand receive grace for completion in the mighty name of Jesus!

13. Nahum 1:4 (KJV)
*He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers…*

I rebuke every evil wind that has been blowing good things away from my hands in the mighty name of Jesus!

14. Psalm 107:38 (KJV)
*He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.*

O Lord my Father, bless me beyond measure and never allow my riches and wealth to decrease in the mighty name of Jesus!

15. Isaiah 43:19 (KJV)
*Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.*

O Lord my God, do a new thing in my life, marriage, career, ministry in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Thank you Father for the uncommon results and answers.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow,
*Rejoice evermore.*
*Pray without ceasing.*

Pastor Chris

_*Be joyful always (1 Thessalonians 5:16 NIV).*_

Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow is yet to come, but today is yours to use. Therefore, make the best of today and be joyful. Don’t live in the regrets of yesterday or be apprehensive of the uncertainties of tomorrow. The regrets of yesterday and fear of tomorrow are the enemies of today’s happiness. God wants you joyful, TODAY!

Our theme verse says, _*“Be joyful always.”*_ This can neither be applied to yesterday nor postponed to tomorrow; it’s for the NOW. Whether anybody treats you well or not, be joyful all the same.

It makes no difference that those you thought could be of help to you turned their backs on you; remain joyful. After all, God never told you to put your trust in men (Psalm 118:8-9). Whether or not there’s money in your bank account, be joyful. If you allow circumstances, the happenings around you or the actions of others determine your joy, then, you’re not acting on the Word. Remember, the blessing is for those who do or act on God’s Word (James 1:22-25). The Word says rejoice evermore (1 Thessalonians 5:16); so, practise it.

Make up your mind that nothing will ever take away your joy. This is a decision you must make. There’s a cooperation that’s required between you and the Holy Spirit. He tells you what to do, but you have to decide to do them. If you say, “I’m going to be ever joyful as the Word of God says, irrespective of circumstances,” He’ll help you make it so.

Yes, in Christianity, there’re challenges. But the Lord says in James 1:2, “Count it all joy, when you go through diverse tests”; in other words, “rejoice!” What’s important isn’t the challenges you face but your response to them. You were born a winner, a victor; nothing in this life is set against you to hurt you or make you a victim. The Bible says, “In all these things, we’re more than conquerors” (Romans 8:37). Hallelujah!

In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 2 Corinthians 11:27

READ: Mark 9:14-29

14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?

17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Fasting is highly underrated in this generation, whereas we need it now more than ever. If you used to fast once a month before, it’s time to increase it because we are in perilous times and it will take great strength to remain standing (Proverbs 24:10). When Jesus had to cast out a particular demon that the disciples had not been able to, He explained to them that:

“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21

Those who fast a lot see their decrees come to pass speedily. Elisha – a biblical personality with tremendous anointing, was almost always on the mountain. In 2 Kings 4:25, the Shunammite woman found him on Mount Carmel. In 2 Kings 6:15-17, when the king sent an army to arrest him, he was on a mountain. When fifty soldiers with their captain went to arrest him in 2 Kings 1:9-10, they found him on the mountain, yet could not go up; they had to ask him to come down.

The word “mountain” in this context refers to fasting. There is a level of fasting you get to where the enemies cannot reach you; that is the point I want you to get to this season. Jesus, during His earthly ministry, fasted forty days and forty nights. If indeed you want to do greater works than Jesus did, you must be ready to fast more than He. When Jesus was on earth, He said His disciples did not need to fast, but that after He left, then they would (Mark 2:19-20). Now He has gone, so we must fast.

If you have not been fasting before, start; take it one day at a time and if you feel hungry before the time to break, go and pray. As you pray, the hunger pangs will cease. Also, when fasting, avoid talking so much as it weakens the body more quickly.

Fasting will kill your flesh and awaken your spirit. It will bring you closer to God. Also, ensure you break your fast with healthy meals and eat in moderation. You will discover that your thinking will be sharpened as your body will become healthier and your brain will even become more efficient.

Increase your fasting to reach greater spiritual heights.

2 Kings 14
2 Chronicles 25

1. Nearer, my God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee;
E’en though it be a cross
That raiseth me,
Still all my song shall be
Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!

2. Though, like s wanderer,
The sun gone down,
Darkness be over me,
My rest a stone;
Yet in my dreams I’d be
Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!

3. There let the way appear
Steps unto Heaven;
All that Thou send’st me
In mercy given;
Angels to beckon me
Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!

4. Then, with my waking thoughts
Bright with Thy praise,
Out of my stony griefs Bethel I’ll raise;
So by my woes to be
Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!

5. Or if on joyful wing
Cleaving the sky,
Sun, moon, and stars forgot,
Upward I fly,
Still all my song shall be,
Nearer, my God, to Thee, (2ce)
Nearer to Thee!
