[7/10, 10:20 AM] +234 807 755 0073: There are times in life when God seems distant. We pray but feel abandoned, at the mercy of our circumstances, afraid and hopeless. Paul was no different. He had longed for an opportunity to preach in Rome and was on his way there when a hurricane struck his ship, plunging everyone into despair. Paul had not only foreseen the loss of the vessel, its crew and cargo, but his ‘own [life] also’ (Acts 27:10). And his warning was disregarded by the captain, the pilot, and the centurion in charge of him. Consequently Paul and 276 fellow passengers were placed in a life-threatening crisis, and there was nothing he could do about it. Terrified, he and his companions declared, ‘…all hope that we should be saved was then taken away’ (Acts 27:20). After fourteen days at sea without sun or stars to guide them, and just when the hurricane was fiercest, God sent an angel to Paul. ‘…Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee’ (Acts 27:24). They were cold, soaked, and hungry when their ship finally ran aground on an island south of Italy. Every circumstance pointed to tragedy and the demise of Paul’s dream of preaching in Rome. However, when the sun rose on the island of Malta next morning, it became clear that God had piloted them through the storm to the exact destination He had planned for them. And Paul ended up declaring God’s Word before Caesar in Rome. So take courage – you will get through this storm!

*Godly exercise part 1*
*Text:* 1 Tim 4:7-8
” _But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come_ .”
There is no doubt that exercise has numerous benefits. There are two types of exercises namely bodily or physical exercise and spiritual or godly exercise. The benefits of bodily exercise range from mental to heart and respiratory health benefits. But the benefit of bodily exercise is little compared to that of godly or spiritual exercise.
*# Godliness is a spiritual exercise #*
The Bible says, “……. _and exercise yourself towards godliness.”_ (vs. 7). That is, practice godliness. At the New Birth, you are but a new born baby who must grow into maturity in Christ. You must develop your spiritual muscles to be able to grow well as a believer. It is not enough to get born again, you must aspire to grow into maturity. It is written, ” _Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection (maturity), not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.”_ (Heb 6:1). There is elementary school and as well as university in the realm of the spirit.
Maturity or perfection is not necessarily a function of the number of years of being born again. It is a product of godly or spiritual exercise. The more you exercise yourself towards being like God, the more you will grow into the nature of Christ. The ultimate goal of every believer is to become more and more like Jesus. The Bible says, ” _till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ_ .”(Eph 4:13). This is our life pursuit as Christians, to grow “to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” The way to grow is the way of spiritual and godly exercise. It is high to build up your spiritual muscle in godly exercise.
” _You are cleaned by the word that I have spoken unto you”_ John 15:3_

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,
*GROWING IN GRACE AND POWER*
Romans 8:19-20, 22 (KJV) *For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the* *manifestation of the sons of God.*
*For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,*
*For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.*
The whole world is groaning in pain and agony, waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God to rescue them. It is time we leave the baby realm and grow into maturity, that is the realm of power and dominion, because we are redeemed to reign on earth but without power (Revelation 5:10) this prophecy cannot be fulfilled.
Obadiah 1:21 (KJV)
*And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s .*
The above scripture says ‘saviours’, that means every child of God is on a rescue mission to rescue the crying and dying world. We cannot achieve this mission without power. Even God the almighty rules by power therefore, we His children will equally need power to do the same.
Psalm 66:7 (KJV)
*He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations…*
*Access To Growing In Grace and Power.*
*THE FORCE OF PRAYERS*
James 5:16 (AMP)
*…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available.*
The major price for power is prayer and fasting. Elijah was a man like us, He walked in power and dominion, his secret was fervent prayer lifestyle. He closed and opened the windows of heaven at will via the force of prayer. The gift of power will not come until you stir it up through consistent and persistent fervent prayer.
Prayer is the stiring instrument that causes the release of power. There is deposit of power inside us, but it takes prayer to cause it to be released. Until Zion travails, she will not bring forth.
Isaiah 23:4 (KJV)
*Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins.*
Isaiah 66:8 (KJV)
*… for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.*
If you are not willing to travail in prayer then you are not set for reigning in life. There was a time when the apostles were confronted with strong opposition, they withdrew to their mountain of prayer and great power was released on them.
Acts 4:31, 33 (KJV)
*And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.*
There are so many fake people around the church and our society only because the real and genuine children of God are not willing to pay the price for power that will take them to the realm of dominion.
The reason why Satan and his agents are having their way is because of too much of prayerlessness and powerlessness in the church. It is time we arise and send them back to hell so our peace can be like rivers
Beloved, set out a prayer plan for your destiny fulfilment and to rescue the crying world from the hand of the oppressors. I see you taking your place of dominion to set the oppressed free and advance God’s kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus!
> Thank you my heavenly Father for the gift of life and another beautiful day you have made.
> Thank you my Father for the multitude of your mercies towards me and my household.
> Thank you my God for supernatural supply.
> Thank you God for your divine protection and deliverance.
> Thank you my Father for your unspeakable joy in my soul.

10. Jeremiah 1:12 (KJV)

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!
See you tomorrow.

[7/10, 4:20 PM] Emm: Today, cry out to Jesus
Friday 10th July 2020
‘Many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more.’ Mark 10:48 NKJV
Try to imagine being blind all your life, then one day miraculously receiving your sight. And the first face you see – is the face of Jesus! That’s what happened to Bartimaeus. Jesus was passing by the spot where he sat begging every day. Recognising this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Bartimaeus cried out for help at the top of his lungs.
Sometimes dignified prayer won’t get the job done. Desperate situations call for desperate measures. Sometimes you’ve got to cry out to God from the depths of your soul! ‘Jesus stood still’ (Mark 10:49 NKJV) when Bartimaeus shouted. Your cry will get God’s attention. David said, ‘I cried out to you, and you healed me’ (Psalm 30:2 NKJV). Don’t be reluctant, be confident. ‘Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need’ (Hebrews 4:16 NKJV).
The Bible says, ‘Throwing his cloak aside, [Bartimaeus] jumped to his feet and came to Jesus’ (Mark 10:50 NIV). He did that for two reasons: first, a long robe could have tripped him up; second, his clothes identified him as a beggar. To get to Jesus, you must be willing to throw aside everything that stands in your way. The shame and failure of your past, your lack and your limitations, the labels other people have put on you. When Jesus restores and makes you whole, you won’t have to wear those old garments anymore. And here’s another thought: when Bartimaeus regained his sight, he decided to follow Jesus (see Mark 10:52), and you must do that too.Share On:
