[6/18, 6:03 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:29

READ: Acts 2:41-47

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Knowing God is not the same as going to church or even being born again. The knowledge of God is first made evident through love. If you love God, it will show in the way you live and even interact with others. God is calling us into an intimate relationship with Him. If your life is in disagreement with God’s word, no matter how much you participate in Church activities or give offering to God, you would not be acceptable to Him, and your services would be in vain.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:….made himself of no reputation…took upon him the form of a servant…. humbled himself, and became obedient unto death…..”
Philippians 2:5-8

1 John 2:6 also says “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” Jesus Himself enjoins us to follow His example in all things.

An intimate relationship with Jesus would lead to selflessness, humility, service to humanity, and total obedience of God. When you live according to the standard of God, He will be pleased with all you have to offer. Do you know that you can come before God with generous offerings, yet stir up His anger? This is because the offering of an unrepented sinner is an abomination before God (Proverbs 15:8).

An intimate relationship with God would help you fashion your life very closely after the example of our Lord Jesus in all things. The knowledge of God must bring us to the point of wisdom and enlightenment far beyond the ordinary. Above all, the knowledge of Jesus must lead to overflowing joy and peace. I pray that your knowledge of Jesus will grow greatly this season in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, please help me to grow in intimacy with You, in the mighty name of Jesus.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Proverbs 27-29.

1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
o Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

[6/18, 6:03 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: MESSAGE FROM:

Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo
Lifeway Christian Centre, Lagos.

Proverbs 11:9 “…but through knowledge shall the just be delivered…”

God has made provisions for our safety and total deliverance from all the assault of the devil. Your sound knowledge and choice are what will deliver them to you.

Isaiah 11:9 (KJV) They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

1. Absolute Trust In God and His Word. There is a saying which says, “when we come to the end of ourselves, we have come to the beginning of God”
Study to know His covenant provision for your all-round safety especially in a time like this and believe on it.

Job 5:19-23 (KJV) He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.

Psalms 91:5-6 (KJV) Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Psalms 91:10-11 (KJV) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Believe and trust God that He will fulfil all His good promises concerning you. I want you to really be persuaded that God cannot lie.
Fear and trust always move in opposite directions; when trust is moving up, fear is going down and vice versa. Be persuaded that God who has promised to keep you and your household will do it.

Titus 1:2 (KJV) In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Hebrews 6:18 (KJV) That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Hear the testimony of king Solomon concerning the faithfulness of God.
1 Kings 8:56 (KJV) Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

Do you know that fear is actually demonstration of lack of trust and confidence in God.
My beloved, I want you to know that God can be trusted and should be trusted.

2. Be Conscious Of God’s Presence.

He promised never to leave us nor forsake us, be assured that God is with you always.

Matthew 28:20 (KJV) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Hebrews 13:5 (KJV) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

No evil can befall you when God is with you because no devil can stand His presence. The consciousness of His divine presence will eliminate fear. As it was established in our previous exhortations, no evil can penetrate into your life without the spirit of fear leading the way.
I see you totally free from the bondage of fear forever in the mighty name of Jesus!

1. Thank you my Lord for this beautiful day you have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

2. Thank you my Lord for your flow of mercies into my life.

3. Thank you Lord for the blessing of a wonderful family.

4. Thank you my Father for daily supply and provision.

5. 2 Kings 6:17 (KJV) *And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.*

O Lord my Father open my eyes of understanding to see your divine provision for my all round safety in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Psalm 71:2 (KJV)
*Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.*

O Lord my Father, deliver me from the snare and torment of fear in the mighty name of Jesus!

7. Psalm 124:7 (KJV)
*Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.*

I decree and declare the snare of fear over my life and family is broken in Jesus mighty name!

8. Jonah 2:8 (KJV)
*They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.*

I declare from today, I refuse to observe the lying vanities of the devil in Jesus mighty name!

9. Psalm 119:116 (KJV)
*Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.*

O Lord my God, uphold me by your power and don’t let me experience shame in life in Jesus mighty name!

10. Revelation 3:8 (KJV)
*I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.*

O Lord my God, open unto me and my seeds the doors of greatness in the mighty name of Jesus!

11. Daniel 1:9 (KJV)
*Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.*

O Lord my Father, usher my life into the realm of unlimited favour in Jesus mighty name!

12. Isaiah 32:15 (KJV)
*Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.*

O Lord my Father, by your Spirit, convert my wilderness to fruitful field and fruitful field to forest in Jesus mighty name!

13. O Lord by your Spirit, let every shame around my life be converted to testimonies and honour in Jesus mighty name!

14. Zephaniah 3:15 (KJV)
*The Lord hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.*

i. I decree and declare, my eyes shall not see evil in Jesus mighty name!

ii. I decree and declare, I shall not cast my young in Jesus mighty name!

iii. I decree and declare, I shall not beg for bread in Jesus mighty name!

iv. I decree and declare, no more stagnation and failure in my life and family in Jesus mighty name!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Thank you Father for the uncommon results and answers.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow,
Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
*Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.*

[6/18, 6:06 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Today’s SOD – 2020-06-18

SCRIPTURE: I know that,”whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever”: nothing can be put to it,”nor any thing taken from it”: and God doeth it,”that men should fear before him. Ecclesiastes 3″:14

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your freedom by Jesus Christ is an irreversible action.

One of the essential features of the Power of God is durability in effect. That is to say whatever God does is long lasting and can stand the test of time. That is why we can confidently say that the Power of God is durable in effect (Ecclesiastes 3:14). This also implies that the Power of God produces lasting results in the lives of people as well as on nations. Our anchor Scripture confirms the durability of God’s Power,”and this is corroborated by John 8″:36,”“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed”. That is, you are irreversibly free. Your freedom by Jesus Christ is an irreversible action.

I came to the Lord first in 1979 and rededicated my life to God on the 12th of May, 1986. Some of my old friends with whom I used to hang around together said”: “We give you six weeks,”and you will join us again.” At that time, I was in the higher institution, and we were about to write a major examination. That was the time I rededicated my life to God and joined campus fellowship. So, one of them said that maybe it was the fear of the examination that made me give my life to Christ; another one said that maybe I saw a girl in the fellowship, and I was trying to go after her. They said that I would join them after six weeks, but 34 years after, the “six weeks” has not come, and will never come. This is because whatever God does is durable.

When people see how God moves in our lives, things happening effortlessly, God building the Glory Dome in the Lord’s Garden for Himself and people trooping to church en mass, they say that “such things don’t last; let’s give them time.” But it is lasting, and it shall continue to last because God did it by His power.

Beloved, don’t be afraid for your future; if it was God who did that thing for you, it will last. Don’t be afraid for your healing or deliverance; if God healed or delivered you, it will last. No devil can bring that infirmity, affliction or bondage back. Don’t be afraid for your marriage, if God ordained it, it will last.

Remember this”: Your freedom by Jesus Christ is an irreversible action.

1. Do not entertain fear concerning what God did for you despite the threat of the devil.

2. Declare the Word of God and the Blood of Jesus over your life,”destiny family, and all that pertains to you.

3. Maintain the atmosphere of God’s Presence continuously.

PRAYER”: Lord,”thank You because I know that what You have done in my life shall be forever. Satan, the Blood of Jesus is against you! Your agenda against my life is nullified, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: We have a lot of Christians who cannot withstand pressure. When the pressure comes,”they lie so they can escape. Culled from “THOU ART MY BATTLE AXE” by Dr. Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT”: Ants have two stomachs. One of their stomachs is for holding food for their own consumption and the second one is for holding food to be shared among other ants.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: I decree the durability of your testimony. No devil can undo what God has done in your life in Jesus’ Name.
