[6/21, 7:08 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: MESSAGE FROM:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

This Sunday is set aside and called Fathers’ day around the world. Therefore, I consider it good to charge and honour true fathers indeed. It will be proper to explore the dynamics of true fatherhood vis-a-vis the wonders of joyful fatherhood *(Prov.23:24).*
God our heavenly father is looking for Fathers to represent Him on earth.

*”And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse”(Mal.4:6).*
#See also *Lk.1:17.*

#Where fatherhood is not in place or it is not functional, a curse becomes inevitable.
The opposite is equally true. Thus, there is a bonding between fathers and children expected to be in every family that will attract the blessing of the Lord unto the wonders of joyful fatherhood.

#Men are often overwhelmed by so much pressure in and around them that they neglect the most fulfilling assignment of fatherhood. This is the inherent purpose within all men. But becoming a joyful father is not automatic. It takes TIME, EFFORT and MONEY.

#There are two words used in the Bible that are translated “father.”
The Old Testament Hebrew word is *”Ab” or “Abba,”* while the New Testament Greek word is *”pater.”*

#Both words denote very basic concepts, which include the following:
*(a.)Source* – One who originates.
*(b.)Nourisher* – One who nourishes what he originated.
*(d.)Supporter* – One who gives true and lasting support to what he produced/created like the heavenly Father.
*(e.)Founder* – One who gives an unshakeable foundation to what he founded.
*(f.) Protector*
*(g)Teacher* – One who provides nutrients and resources that develop, enrich, expand, grow, and deploy that which comes from him.

#One is the father of someone when the aforementioned functions are in place.

#When true fatherhood (after the order of the heavenly father) is restored back to families, then waywardness will cease in the society and noble sons will start emerging *(Heb.12:5 – 13).*

*(1.)Righteousness* – “The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice” *(Prov.23:24a).*
#No one is born righteous into this world because of the sinful Adamic nature of man. In other words, before a man can father a child to be the righteous, the man himself must become the righteous first.

Until a man has right standing with God the Father, he can’t impart/father his children to have right standing with the Lord.

Without having a functional relationship with the heavenly Father, true fatherhood can’t be possible because sound wisdom that empowers for fulfilling the functions of fatherhood is reserved for the righteous *(Prov.2:7a).*

*(2.)Wisdom* – “A wise son maketh a glad father” *(Prov.15:20a).* “…he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him” *(Prov.23:24b).*

No child is born wise. As a matter of fact, children are known for foolishness but it takes responsible fathers to drive it away from them *(Prov.22:15).*

Before a father can raise a wise child that will give him joy ultimately, the man must be armed with sound wisdom from the heavenly Father *(Prov.2:6/7).*

The heavenly Father teaches/instructs fathers who will teach/instruct their children/family. Consider the Abrahamic fatherhood *(Gen.18:19).* For instance, the Lord taught him tithing, he taught his children and grandchildren.

Fathers engage the rod of correction and discipline to impact wisdom – *Prov.29:15a.*

Fathers must see correction as an expression of love just as the heavenly father sees it and should not be despised *(Prov.3:11/12).*

Training is also a rod of wisdom. True fatherhood engages it for the destiny fulfilment of their children *(Prov.22:6; Gen.14:14).*

When men are fully connected to the heavenly father like Joseph did, the outcome will be the blessing of heavenly wisdom that will produce true fatherhood, lordship and rulership for them in this world *(Gen.41:38 – 45; 45:8).*

I pray the Abrahamic fatherhood covenant blessings be the portion of all fathers in Jesus mighty name!

*Be Diligent in Your Service in God’s House*

*Ephesians 4:11-12 & 16*

It was he who “gave gifts to people”, he appointed some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelist, others to be pastors and teachers. He did this to prepare all God’s people for the work of Christian service , in order to build up the body of Christ. *Under his control all the different parts of the body fit together, and the whole body is held together by every joint with which it is provided. So when each separate part works as it should the whole body grows and builds itself up through love.

One of the most incredible things happening on earth right now is the reality that Christ is building His church, Matthew 16:18. He is doing so through me and you. In 1Peter 2:5 (GNB) the Bible says, “Come as living stones, and let yourselves be used in building the spiritual temple, where you will serve as holy priest to offer spiritual and acceptable sacrifices to God and through Jesus Christ.”

After instructing us to renew our minds in Romans 12:3-8 ( GNB ) the Bible adds, “And because of God’s gracious gift to me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you should. Instead , be modest in your thinking and judge yourself according to the amount of faith that God has given you. We have multiple parts in one body that each maintain different functions. In the same way, though we are many, we are one body in union with Christ, and we are all joined to each other as different parts of one body. As such, we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us. If our gift is to speak God’s message, we should do so according to the faith that we have: if it is to serve, we should serve: if it is to teach, we should teach: if it is to encourage others we should do so. Whoever shares with others should do it generously; whosoever has authority should work hard; whoever shows kindness to others should do it cheerfully.” Promote love and peace ” Galatians 5:26″ and serve with humility. Be fervent in spirit, serving the lord, Romans 12 :11. Like Jesus, consider your work in God’s house as your father’s business and do it diligently and with passion, Luke 2:49. Your faithful service is producing growth and expansion of God’s kingdom, Acts 6:1-7. Christ Himself will reward you for your faithful service , Revelation 22:12, 1 Corinthians 15:58.

Heavenly Father, I am available to you. As I serve faithfully in your house, use me to contribute to bless many lives and expand your kingdom .

For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37

READ: 2 Kings 7:1-2

Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

God is a specialist in handling situations tagged impossible. He can use your case to demonstrate to the world that there is no situation, no matter how bad that He cannot reverse. Have you been waiting a long time for that precious promise of God to come to pass? Your season of divine visitation has come in the mighty name of Jesus.

Sarah-Abraham’s wife, laughed at the prophecy of her having a baby within a year. She knew her age and the deadness of her husband’s fertility system. Indeed, God had to ask them:

“Is any thing too hard for the LORD?” Genesis18:14

For those of you who are overwhelmed by the doctor’s report concerning your case, I am here to let you know that the report of the Lord will override every negative report concerning you in the mighty name of Jesus.

Lazarus was dead and buried; his grave must have started to stink, yet the Lord moved into the hopeless situation and reversed the irreversible (John 11:1-45).

Are you struggling with poverty? Have you been labelled a permanent failure? Have you been told that at your age, there is no miracle that can cause you to receive your heart’s desire? If God sees that your season is naturally over, He reminds the world that HE changes times and seasons (Daniel 2:21). If the world boasts that they have finished your case, He reminds them that He knows what is in the darkness (Daniel 2:22). I pray for an expedited reversal of every negative circumstance in your life today.

The Christian life is no ordinary natural existence; it is supernatural. It takes supernatural power to reverse the irreversible and move the immovable. This season, you will encounter the supernatural power of God, to the point where whatever was irreversible will be reversed, and whatever was immovable will be moved in you favor, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, please shake the earth and make the impossible possible in my life, in the mighty name of Jesus.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Proverbs 30-31

1. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious,
the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious,
Thy great name we praise.

2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting,
Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high
soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains
of goodness and love.

3. To all life Thou givest,
to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as
leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish, but nought
changeth Thee.

4. Great Father of Glory,
pure Father of Light
Thine angels adore Thee,
all veiling their sight;
All laud we would render,
O help us to see:
‘Tis only the splendor of light
hideth Thee.
