*SERVICE THROUGH THE SPIRIT.*

_Wednesday, June 24th_.
*Pastor Chris*

_*For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son… (Romans 1:9).*_

_Oftentimes, when the Lord gives you a responsibility or an assignment to carry out for Him, it’s usually not because you’re an expert. He gives you that assignment and expects you to be diligent. He expects you to put in your best, but the most important of all is that He expects you to do it by the power of the Holy Spirit._

_No assignment in the house of God should be carried out by people who are not full of the Holy Spirit. This is because there’s nothing you can do for God that’ll be acceptable to Him without the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 9:14 tells us that Jesus offered Himself as a sacrifice, through the Holy Spirit. It’s always been so with God._

_Even in the Old Testament, when the Lord wanted Aaron’s garment (the Priest’s garment) to be made, just because the design was given by God, Moses had to get only those whom the Lord had filled with the Spirit to get the job done (Exodus 28:3). Think about it: He would only allow His priests wear clothes that were made by Spirit-filled individuals! Likewise, craftsmen that were to work in the tabernacle had to be filled with the Spirit to do the work._

_On one occasion, the Lord said to Moses, “Get seventy leaders of the children of Israel, so they can assist you with the work.” Then God said, “I’ll take of the Spirit that’s upon you and put upon them” (Numbers 11:16-17). In other words, without the Spirit, He wasn’t going to let them do the work. That’s how important being filled with the Spirit for service is in the house of God._

_It makes no difference the capacity in which you serve in church; perhaps, you’re a worship leader or music minister, an usher, a cell leader, outreach fellowship coordinator, a pastoral staff, or your role is cleaning the pews and opening the doors to the auditorium; it must be done through the Spirit._

_This is where fellowship with the Spirit is so important. Before you set out to do anything, get filled with the Spirit; spend time in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and He’ll guide you on how to do God’s things, God’s way, so your service would be accepted of Him._

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I thank you for the opportunity to serve in your Kingdom. I yield myself to the influence and guidance of the Holy Spirit at all times, for the purification and sanctification of all that I do in service to you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

[6/24, 6:14 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: MESSAGE FROM:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*

*WAY OUT OF BITTERNESS*

Galatians 2:20 (KJV) *I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.*

Galatians 5:1 (KJV) *Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.*

*FORCE OF FORGIVENESS:*

The surest and fastest way out of bitterness is forgiveness. As we shared yesterday that bitterness comes via some of these areas: Breakdown of Marital Relationship, False accusations, disappointments, unfaithfulness, slander and being maligned etc. These things always lead to hatred and bitterness when you are sure of your innocence and not guilty of any offence. Even at that, bitterness is not a place to dwell because it will drain eternal life out of you and damage your health beyond imagination. Even if you are 100% right in a particular situation, you can be wrong in the middle of being right when you don’t forgive the offender on time.

Ephesians 4:31 (KJV) *Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:*

The best and godly way to revenge is to forgive. It is the key to personal peace and freedom. In some cases, even when it is difficult to live together as a result of broken relationship, do not count the person as your enemy, but still love him/her from afar.

2 Thessalonians 3:14-15 (KJV) *And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.*
*Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.*

Beloved, one of the secrets of long and fruitful life is to forgive everybody, everything, every night before you go to bed.

The following nuggets will help to accelerate forgiveness:

(A) *See the Ignorance of the Other Person* (Offender):

Luke 23:34 (KJV) *Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.*

This was our Lord Jesus’ prayer for the soldiers and Jews when he was on the cross, despite the agony and pains of the cross, He saw beyond their immediate action. He had compassion on them for their ignorance. The same way the people or person who has offended you might not have done it with evil intention but out of ignorance. The Jews thought they were helping God, not knowing they were killing His son.

(B) *Give Excuse on Behalf of the Other Person:* (Luke 23:34)
Jesus looked at His own murderers and said
“Father forgive them.” Why? “For they know not what they do.” Many people that have offended you or did one unpleasant thing or the other to you may not be conscious of the implication of their deeds. Please, for the sake of their ignorance, “let go.”

Stephen also applied this kingdom mystery against his murderers; he died without grudges and offence in his heart, but full of joy at death.

Acts 7:59-60 (KJV) *And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.*
*And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.*

(C) *It is a Commandment of God:* (Ephesians 4:32)
Willingness to obey God always is the fastest way to access Kingdom treasures.

Job 36:11 (KJV) *If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.*

Forgiveness is a funny thing, it nourishes your heart and cools the sting.

Forgiveness is not a weakness but strength and a weapon in the hand of every child of God to deal with the enemy. Forgiveness is a proof that you have overcome whatever pain or embarrassment of the past.

The weak revenge.
The strong Forgive.
The spirit-filled Forgive and Forget.

I see you free from all bondage of bitterness caused by unforgiveness in the mighty name of Jesus.

*I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.*

Isaiah 58:11 (KJV) *And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.*

My Father and my God, guide and order my steps into greatness in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Thank you father, for the uncommon results and answers.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow,
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 (KJV) *Rejoice evermore.*

[6/24, 6:15 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Today’s SOD – 2020-06-24
TOPIC: CREATED FOR DOMINION

SCRIPTURE: And God said,”Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,”and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1″:26

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: As far as God is concerned,”dominion over the entire creation is the destiny of man.

The creative mandate of God for man is dominion. As far as God is concerned, dominion over the entire creation is the destiny of man. There is a creative agenda of God for us to reign as kings on the earth. This is confirmed in the account of creation in Genesis 1″:26-28.

So,”man was created as the king of God’s creation; we were created to be rulers on planet earth. It is true that man fell into sin but God did not change His mind concerning His creative agenda for man. That was why He went ahead to sacrifice His Son, Jesus for our redemption. This He did in order to cause His initial plan for man to stand for as many as would receive His Son Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Beloved, the devil may have attempted to corrupt your destiny but God has not changed His mind about you. You may have given up on yourself but God has not given up on you. You are still a chosen, royal and peculiar person according to 1Peter 2″:9. So,”let it sink into your mind that from creation, and by redemption, God created you to reign and to be in charge.

There are three dimensions of dominion and authority that God has positioned us to exercise. We shall be looking at one of them today and subsequently, we will look at the remaining”:

Dominion over Spiritual and Supernatural Forces

We are to exercise dominion over spiritual and supernatural forces (Luke 10:19).

Beloved,”you were created to dominate, control and subdue principalities and powers, witches and wizards, demons and devils. You were not created in the Image of God to be molested by a demon. You are in charge over satanic altars in your community and you must take your place in authority and dominion. Take charge!

Remember this”: As far as God is concerned,”dominion over the entire creation is the destiny of man.

ASSIGNMENTS”:

1. Believe that you have dominion and are in charge; act accordingly.

2. Set evil altars on fire by releasing Word-based declarations into the air.

3. Spend time with God at the place of prayer; pray fervently in the Spirit continually to recharge and take charge.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING,”GET THIS MESSAGE”: REIGNING BY WISDOM.

PRAYER: Lord,”thank You for the privilege of being created in Your Image. By the authority accompanying this privilege, I nullify every demonic activity around my life, family, destiny and nation, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING”: Psalm 139-141

QUOTE: Excellence is our heritage. Mediocrity is a misrepresentation of the Divine nature. Culled from “30 Secrets to the Top” by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: A flamingo can eat only when its head is upside down.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Proceed forth in your dominion mandate in this season in Jesus’ Name.

*Be Diligent in Speaking the Right Words*

_Hebrews 10:23, Hebrews 4:14 (GNB), Romans 4:19-20_
_Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) *Let us, then, hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we have a great High Priest who has gone into the very presence of God – Jesus, the Son of God. *And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God._

It is one thing to know how to speak the right words and another to consistently speak them. even in the face of opposition, discouragement and frustration. In Job 22:29, the Bible says, “When men are cast down. then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.” No matter what everybody else is experiencing, resist the urge to speak negatively because you are different. Psalms 91:7 (GNB) says, “A thousand may fall dead beside you, ten thousand all around you, but you will not be harmed.” In Psalms 107:2 the Bible says, “Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” You are the redeemed of the Lord and no matter how you feel or how things look, you should speak as one who is redeemed of the Lord. Say of the Lord that He is your refuge and fortress, no evil will befall you and he will deliver you and lift you up, Psa. 91:2 & 14.

Although there was no physical justification for Abraham to continue to declare God‘s promises to himself, he continued to do so until there was a manifestation. Our faith and hope are sure because they are hinged on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, 1Cor. 15:14, 1Pet. 1:3. In the Contemporary English Version, our second text above says. “We have a great high priest, who has gone into heaven. and he is Jesus the Son of God. That is why we must hold on to what we have said about him.” Our words are the words of Jesus and they are spirit and life. John 6:63. They quicken and cause things to come alive by God’s power. We are not just making positive confessions. We are making faith declarations. Positive confessions come from a merely optimistic mind, while faith declarations come from your revelation of the Word of God. We say because God has said, Heb.13:5-6.

Prayer: I thank you, Heavenly Father, that because of Jesus all your promises are sure in my life. I will keep on holding on and declaring your promises.
