Do You Want to Be Healed?

John 5:5-9 (CEV)

Beside the pool was a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw the man and realized that he had been crippled for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to be healed?” The man answered “Lord, I don’t have anyone to put me in the pool when the water is stirred up … Jesus told him, “Pick up your mat and walk!” Right then the man was healed. He picked up his mat and started walking around…

The answer that the man who was crippled in our text above gave to Jesus was a clear indication of his focus. His focus was on what was happening around him and not on Jesus because he didn’t know who Jesus was. He didn’t realise that it was Jesus who created the pool that everybody else was struggling to get into. He didn’t realise that the power in Jesus far exceeded the minimal power that manifested in that pool from time to time. In fact, he likely thought Jesus was offering him assistance to get into the pool. Sometimes, the complexity of our challenges have a way of distorting our hearing and understanding of what God is saying to us.

With God nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37) and all things are possible to him that believes, Mark 9:23. God loves you. That is why He sent Jesus to suffer and die for you, for your total salvation, healing and freedom from every situation that is not His will for your life. By His word, Jesus has come to you right now. What do you hear Jesus saying to you right now about your life and situation? It may not be a healing that you desire. It may be something even greater that He desires for you. Jesus is affirming that all power belongs to Him and that He has provided the grace you need for all your desire. So, beloved, receive your miracle right now. When Lazarus was raised back to life, Jesus reassured Martha that He is the resurrection and life, John 11:23-25. Jesus is the embodiment of that miracle you desire. His power is manifesting in you right now.

Yes Lord, l believe in You and I receive a manifestation of Your mighty power in my life right now.
