[11/17, 6:34 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Protect your spiritual life
Tuesday 17th November 2020
‘The breath of the Almighty gives me life.’ Job 33:4 NKJV
You can put metal bars on the windows of your house, a security system in your car, video cameras in your business, and stash your prized belongings in a bank vault. But what are you doing to protect your most valuable possession, namely, your spiritual life?
Elihu told Job, ‘The breath of the Almighty gives me life’ (Job 33:4 NKJV). When God breathes his spirit into you at the point of salvation, you become spiritually alive. Now you have the ability to love him, serve him and bring pleasure to him. And that’s what the enemy is after – the part of God that’s inside you! And to get to it he will attack your body, wage war against your mind and try to control you through habits, doubts and fears. He will even work through other people, including close friends and family members. When God breathed into Adam, he became alive. He recognised who he was and what he was called to do in life.
Don’t miss the lesson here! Until you recognise that God created and redeemed you for a purpose, other people will try to ‘breathe’ their identity and agenda into you. And that’s dangerous, because when someone can defineyou they can control you! ‘How can I protect myself?’ you ask. Live each day with a consciousness of the presence of God! The psalmist said, ‘You are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings’ (Psalm 61:3-4 NLT)! When you’re in that place of safety, the enemy can’t touch you or anything that is rightfully yours.

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*

*MY PRINCE OF PEACE*
John 14:27 (KJV)
*Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.*
Peace is our covenant heritage in Christ Jesus. Salvation has ushered us into the realm of the peace of the Lord that makes us to relax in the face of conflict. This is not a temporary state of happiness, it is eternal joy that knows no end. It is not regulated by situation around us but by Christ who is in us.
Isaiah 32:18 (KJV)
*And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;*
Peace is one of the most treasurable assets in the journey of life. Whatever you might possess, acquire or command, without peace, they amount to nothing. In fact, life is meaningless without peace.
Therefore, my beloved, hold on to Christ in all seasons of your life because it is only from Him you can get real peace and joy everlasting. Never allow anything to seperate you from the Lord. No matter what you might be going through now, it would have been worse if not for Christ in your life. Hold onto Him.
Remember He said, He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)
*Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.*
1. *It Provokes Divine Intervention*
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
*Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.*
When you are worried and anxious, you disconnect yourself from the Lord because that is proof of lack of confidence in Him. But when you are still and at peace with yourself, then God will step into your situation. For God to take over your battle, you must stop all forms of agitation and hold your peace.
Exodus 14:14 (KJV)
*The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.*
I see God taking over your battles in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
> Thank you my Lord for another beautiful day you have made.
> Thank you my Father for daily supply of all my needs.
> Thank you Lord for angelic protection over my life and family.
> Thank you my Lord for your unspeakable peace in my life.
1. John 20:22 (KJV)
*And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:*
O Lord my Father, continue to breathe your peace upon my life and family in the mighty name of Jesus!
2. Psalm 55:18 (KJV)
*He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.*
O Lord my God, step in and deliver me from all raging battles in the mighty name of Jesus!
3. Proverbs 16:7 (KJV)
*When a man’s ways please the Lord , he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.*
My Father and my God, cause all my enemies to be at peace with me in the mighty name of Jesus!
4. Psalm 29:11 (KJV)
*The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.*
i. My Father, bless my life with your peace in the mighty name of Jesus!
ii. Fill my children with your peace in the mighty name of Jesus!
iii. My Father, fill my home with your peace in the mighty name of Jesus!
iv. My God and my Lord, let my marriage come under your peace in the mighty name of Jesus!
5. Zechariah 4:9 (KJV)
*The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.*
i. O Lord my Father, grant me grace and empowerment to complete all good projects my hand has started in the mighty name of Jesus!
ii. I decree every abandoned project in my life, come back to life in the mighty name of Jesus!
6. Psalm 18:32 (KJV)
*It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.*
O Lord my Father, strengthen my inner man and make my way perfect in the mighty name of Jesus!
7. Psalm 18:48 (KJV)
*He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.*
O Lord my God, lift me above all opposing forces to my destiny fulfilment in the mighty name of Jesus!
8. Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
*But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.*
My Father and my God arise and supply all my needs in the mighty name of Jesus!
9. Psalm 65:11 (KJV)
*Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.*
My Father and my King, close this year for me with uncommon testimonies in the mighty name of Jesus!
Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.
Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!
See you tomorrow.
*Pray without ceasing.*

THEME: UNEQUALLY YOKED.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14
READ: 2 Corinthians 6:13-18
13 Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Who you associate with is a great determinant of whether God will be silent over your matter or if He will act on your behalf. In Genesis 12:1, God told Abraham to leave his father’s house and go to a land He would show him. Unfortunately, Lot Abraham’s nephew, went with him. Lot being with Abraham hindered God from delivering the promise to him, but the moment Lot was separated from him, God remembered His promise.
“And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.” Genesis 13:14-15
Thank God for His mercy that caused Abraham and Lot’s men to fight so that Lot could be separated from him (Genesis 13). I pray for you today: God will separate from you any friend or associate hindering Him from fulfilling His promise to you, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Joshua was experiencing victory upon victory until one day when he faced a small army that defeated him. That day, he had to investigate what made him fail and then he found out that there was a bag of bad egg in his company- Achan. After getting rid of Achan, the victories resumed (Joshua 7 & 😎. The Almighty God who I serve will reveal to you any Achan in your family, company or Church in the mighty name of Jesus.
God wants to help some people, but He would not because of their friends and associates. It is either the person’s sins make it difficult for God to be involved in whatever the fellow is involved in or He knows that if He gives you what He wants to, with that fellow still in your life, it would result in more harm than good. Who are your friends? Who are your business partners? Who are you planning to get married to? Who is squatting with you in your house? You need to choose these people with care. If you choose a business partner who mutters incantations when you are praying, that project is not likely to go well because a house divided against itself cannot stand (Mark 3:25).
Prayerfully review the kind of people you associate with from today.

HYMN 4: BLESSED ASSURANCE, JESUS IS MINE.
1. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
2. Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels, descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
3. Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

*Whose Report Do You Believe?*
*Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said: "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it,"But the men who had gone up with him said, "We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are." And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We saw the Nephilim there..... We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them."*
After Adam said to God , "I heard your voice and I was afraid because I was naked," God said, "Who told you that you were naked?" Genesis 3:9-11. One reason why so many live in fear is because of the lies and negative training and information they have received. Their minds have been programmed to believe certain myths, lies and superstitions . In Mark 7:13(AMP), Jesus said, Thus you are nullifying and making void and of no effect ( the authority of ) the Word of God through your tradition, which you (in turn) hand on. And many things of this kind you are doing."
Beloved, the devil's primary weapon is lies , Ephesians 6:11. Every time you believe a lie, you give the devil an opportunity for him to deceive you out of God's will for your life. The Bible says , fear has torment (1 John 4:18). So many people are living in torment and bondage today because of the fear in their heart that has come from the lies they have been believing. Fear will also limit your potential and productivity. Out of fear , Gideon was hiding in a winepress to thresh wheat, not knowing he was the one God had ordained to rescue the Israelites from the hand of the Medianites ( Judges 6:11-16 ). After the other spies conveyed an evil report, as revealed in our text, the hearts of the Israelites were discouraged from going forward to conquer the land that God had promised them.
God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). In your life, let God be true and let every other man and even your past experience be a lie ( Romans 3:4 ) . Believe what God says about you. Stop allowing fear to cripple you and deprive you of experiencing God's fullness in your life.
All things are possible with God.
I refuse to be intimidated by the lies of the devil and by any evil report. I choose to believe and stand on what God says about me.
