[11/20, 6:52 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Psalm 119:18 (KJV)
*Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.*

The bible is filled with promises from God to make our destinies colourful on earth; but there are certain conditions that must be met before the promises can be fulfilled in our lives such as follows:

2. *Soul Winning*

This is one assignment that turns the saints of God to stars on earth. It is a mission that carries an uncommon reward.

Beloved, success in life is not only about hard work but more of smart work, that is, know the right thing to do at the right time. The scripture says, “the wise shall shine”.

Daniel 12:3 (KJV)
*And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.*

The scripture further recognizes those that turn many to God (righteous) as the wise.

Proverbs 11:30 (KJV)
*The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.*

Therefore, the secret of ever shining life is to keep on advancing the kingdom of God on earth and God will never stop advancing your life.

Isaiah 52:7 (KJV)
*How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!*

This is a kingdom mystery for making of stars in the kingdom. The more you are addicted with soul winning and other kingdom advancement, the more your destiny will be polished, beautiful and move to higher heights.

Step out today by intereceding for the kingdom and reaching out to the lost with zeal, passion and love. By so doing you are on your way to destiny fulfilment and ever shining life.

> Thank you my heavenly Father for the gift of life and another beautiful day you have made.

> Thank you my heavenly Father for your love to me and my household.

> Thank you Lord Jesus for the sacrifice of the cross that rescued my soul from destruction.

> Thank you sweet Holy Spirit for your companionship.

1. John 14:26 (KJV)
*But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.*

i. Sweet Holy Spirit, help me to be a faithful ambassador of Christ unto the end in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. Sweet Holy Spirit, my helper, revive my heart for soul winning in the mighty name of Jesus!

2. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV)

[4] *In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.*

O Lord my God, destroy every veil covering the minds of the unsaved in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
*The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.*

6. John 4:35 (KJV)
*Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.*

*Text: “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward part of the belly.”Prov 20:27*

One major thing that God wants to do and accomplish in our lives is show us where to go in life. He wants to guide us in every decision we make so that we can make an extreme success out of our lives. He wants to teach us to make profit and not losses in our lives.

Honestly the breakthrough and defining moments of life are just a step away. We have examples all over scriptures of individuals that were divinely guided to where the blessings were waiting for them. Isaac was divinely instructed to stay in a land where there was famine and he had a hundred-fold harvest in that same year. Jacob was divinely guided to produce the type of animals that made him richer than his father-in-law. These are practical examples of what God wants to do with our lives too.

As sovereign as God is he does not lead or guide us without our consent. There is a part we need to play in receiving God’s guidance for our lives. Man is a spirit, has a soul and lives in a body. The real man is the spirit man through which he relates with the spiritual realities. The spirit of man is the contact point for everything that God wants to do with a man. The human mind is the part of man that is used to relate with the intellectual world. No matter how trained our minds are it cannot relate with God. The body is the part of man that relates with the physical world.

God lightens and illuminates our spirit to gives us direction and instructions. It is called “the candle of the Lord”. The more developed our spirit man is the more we can access divine guidance for our lives. Just as we train our minds and bodies we can equally do so with our spirit man. The unfortunate thing is that our minds and bodies are so much developed that they hinder and dominate the spirit man. But we can reverse this. The more we feed ourselves with the word of God the more the “candle” can be lighted. The more we pray in the Spirit the more sensitive we become. This is our part in receiving divine guidance.

If you can pray in the Spirit please spend some time today doing so and you’ll receive God’s guidance today.

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20–22 (KJV)

With God, nothing is impossible [Luke 1:37]. Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” It will never exist what is too hard for God to do, for He is not a man that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: does He speak and not do what He says? Does He promise and not come through? [Numbers 23:19]. God does not speak words that come to naught, if He says, “I’ll come with healing, curing the incurable” [Jeremiah 30:17–MSG], that’s exactly what He will do.

God is the greatest physician and here is His prescription for your health, “…attend to my words…” No matter the diagnosis, “attend to my word” not to symptoms. A lot of believers attend to symptoms, diagnosis and medical prescriptions at the expense of God’s word. Everything that had and would be were framed by the word of God, as it is written, “He uphold all things by the word of His power,” [Hebrew 1:3], and the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead can quicken medically written-off bodies. By His stripes you were healed! No disease is incurable. No sickness is too terminal for God to terminate. By the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, I declare healing to your body right now! I rebuke the spirit of infirmity and declare you healed, in Jesus’ Name!

Attend to the word of God.

No sickness is too terminal for God to terminate.

[11/20, 6:52 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16

READ: Acts 2:14-42

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The world today is full of sorrow, pain and agony. More people are going into depression nowadays. Suicide rates have gone up, there are war and rumors of wars, fights and even more violence. The only people living peacefully are those who are connected with the Prince of Peace, those who have Christ living in them. When a person becomes born again. The first thing he/she experiences is peace. Believe me, the gospel of Christ is the only way out of all the chaos in this world. If you have not yet embraced the gospel of Christ, I would advise that you do so right away so that you can begin to live a peaceful and joyful life.

If you already know Christ and you don’t share His gospel with people around you, then it is clear that you don’t love them. The Gospel of Christ is good news to the broken-hearted, joy to the depressed, strength to the weary and life to the dying (Luke 4:18). Don’t keep it to yourself, share it with the world. Jesus wants to save, heal and deliver them, but He needs you to introduce Him. Whenever I hear about someone who committed suicide or did something terrible because they were experiencing depression, I hurt deeply within me. I always wish I had the opportunity to share the gospel of Christ with them before the issue got out of hand. Some of them are with you in the office, your neighborhood and there no restrictions in your meeting with them.

Sharing the gospel of Christ goes beyond just words, it also involves your actions. It entails how you smile when you see them, asking about their wellbeing, caring for them genuinely as Christ cares for us. Don’t just preach the gospel, show love to them practically. James 2:15-16 says:
“If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?”

Are you sharing the gospel of Christ to the broken-hearted?

Share the gospel of Christ with someone this weekend.

1. Stand up, stand up for Jesus! ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss:
From vict’ry unto vict’ry, His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.

2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus! The trumpet call obey:
Forth to the mighty conflict, in this His glorious day;
Ye that are men now serve Him against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose.

3. Stand up, stand up for Jesus! Stand in His strength alone,
The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own;
Put on the gospel armor, and watching unto prayer,
Where calls the voice of duty, be never wanting there.

4. Stand up, stand up for Jesus! the strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song;
To him that overcometh a crown of life shall be;
He with the King of glory shall reign eternally.
