*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*

2 Kings 5:1 (KJV)
*Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.*

Naaman is one of my favorite characters in the Bible. Naaman found himself in a terrible situation that put him at a disadvantaged position in the journey of life, because he was a leper

A leper is a person that is suffering from a deadly and communicable disease called leprosy. Lepers are separated, untouchable, anathema. This was the situation Naaman found himself. His situation or sickness has the capacity to ground him but he refused to be grounded.

2 Kings 5:1 (KJV)
*Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.*

Our text scripture present the two sides of Naaman’s life, despite his infirmity he developed himself until he became:

✓ A successful army general (a warrior)
✓ He was important to his master (a valuable warrior)
✓ He was a mighty man
✓ He has done great exploit in the land despite his challenges.

Exodus 1:12 (KJV)
*But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew…*

Beloved, refuse to accept whatever fate or the enemy throws at you. Make tough decisions to go forward in life, let your focus be on your strength and not your weaknesses or disadvantages. If you keep building and developing your strengths, soon your weaknesses will disappear.

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)
*I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.*

Don’t allow your setback or bad experiences to limit your greatness.

1 John 4:4 (KJV)
*Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.*

Pickup yourself and start again. Start from where you are and with what you have, the good Lord is with you to give you a new beginning and prosper the work of your hands.

I see you maximizing every season of your life in the mighty name of Jesus.

Thank you my Lord for your loving kindness towards me and my households.

Thank you my father for the gift of life and salvation of my soul.

Thank you Lord for daily supply of all my needs.

Thank you my father for strengthening me in the midst of the storm.

1. 2 Kings 6:17 (KJV)
*And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord , I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.*

i. O Lord my God open my eyes of understanding to see the potential you deposited in me in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my father help me to always see your invisible hands in every situation.

2. 2 Timothy 1:6 (KJV)

3. Isaiah 65:17 (KJV)

10. Psalm 56:13 (KJV)

ii. O Lord our God, fill our nation with your peace in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow.

*Text: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”Eph 6:11*

The battles of life are essentially spiritual and we must learn to take on the armour of the Spirit to handle these challenges.
As David was going to face Goliath King Saul gave him his own armour which were basically the spear, the shield and the cloth. But David knew that this was beyond a physical battle.
What Saul did by giving David physical weapons is also what we are doing when we try to fight the battles of life on our own.
Prayer is a platform that God has given us to take on the armour of the Spirit to deal with the issues on ground. With the armour of the Spirit we can pull down every stronghold of the enemy, we can deal with every barrier on our way.
Don’t forget that by strength shall no man prevail. There is a limit to which human strength can carry us. It’s therefore a waste of time to depend solely on your strength in getting ahead in life. Like David we must put off the weapons of human strength and take on the armour of the Spirit to get ahead in life.
Nothing works on mere human strength. As good and relevant human strength is, it has limitations because we have forces that are contending with us beyond the natural.
Don’t go out any day without your armour on. This is why we must spend some time every day in prayer so that we can be sure that we are not facing anything that day in our own strength.
With the armour of the Spirit no Goliath of life can stand your way. With the armour of the Spirit we can handle whatever comes our way. We don’t have to run away from whatever comes our way. King Saul actually ran away from Goliath because he had lost the presence of the Holy Spirit.

In the name of Jesus I pick up the armour of the Spirit today and I dislodge every challenge on my way today.

“Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 54:1 KJV

Someone who is barren is in great difficulty, travail and pain. This is not only in childbearing, but in all areas of life. The general feeling is that you are a failure and of no use.

No one rejoices in that condition. Yet, God is telling you to sing today. Why is He telling us to sing in spite of our condition? He is saying so because if you look at the book of Isaiah 53:1, He says: “Who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed”. (KJV)

Who will believe the report means who will believe that what He has promised shall be fulfilled?  Who will believe that:”….he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him .He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”(Isaiah 53:2-3 KJV)

This is the story of our turnaround and it is the reason why we must sing. The eyes of the ancient prophet of God was opened by God to look through the prophetic glass and to see into the future of what provision God had already made for us which was about to manifest. This provision was made right from the beginning as documented in the book of Genesis 3:15. When man fell God said the seed of the woman would bruise the head of the enemy. Ever before man came on the scene the lamb was slain before the foundation of the world.

Our victory has been perfected even before the challenge came. And the only thing you have to do is to rejoice. Stop mourning and start singing. You have the victory!

_*Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the

Writing the Word in your heart is very important. This is done
through meditation and constant confession of the Word. The
more you do this, the more the glory of the Word is manifested in your
life. We’re admonished in the Scriptures to be filled with the knowledge of God’s Word, for out of that abundance, our words will come forth.

Your words must be consistent with God’s truths; otherwise, you’ll have trouble. The adversary will take advantage of your own words to put
you in bondage. Proverbs 6:2 says, _*“Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.”*_

Many today are trapped, struggling to come out of one predicament
or the other, which they may have created through their own words. Jesus said in Mark 11:23 that you shall have what you say. In Matthew 12:37, He said, _*“For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”*_

You have to make a determination to talk God’s Word; talk Kingdom-talk. You’re in the Kingdom of God, and it’s a Kingdom run by words, where we rule and prevail by our wholesome, faith-filled words.
Remember the Lord’s admonition in Joshua 1:8, _*“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth…”*_; it’s about the Word in your mouth!

*Through the help of the Spirit, and consistent meditation on the
Word, I consciously speak wholesome, edifying, gracious, inspiring, motivating, encouraging words. With my words, I create success,
victory, divine health and prosperity from within, establishing God’s righteousness in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Luke 6:45* A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. *||*

*||* *1 Peter 3:10* For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: *||*

*Set Your Heart on the Things That Are Above*

Colossians 3:14; (GNB), Ephesians 2:6 (NIV)

“You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right side of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Your real life is Christ and when he appears, then you too will appear with him and share his glory! *And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

Because of your faith in Christ you are now a citizen of Heaven. As a citizen of Heaven, you have a new set of realities that are higher and more glorious than the realities of those who have not put their faith in Jesus and received abundant life. God wants you to be very conscious of this new set of realities that accompany you being His child. In the New Living Translation, Colossians 3:1 says “Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand?

Before you can set your heart on the things that are above, you must first of all maintain a deep consciousness that you are from above. You must remain conscious of the new position you now occupy because of your faith in Jesus. He has raised you up and located you in a new spiritual position. The Bible assures us that you have come to Mount Zion. (Heb.12:22). You have come to a new glorious position.

You are now in a position where you share in the dominion and authority of Christ. (Eph. 2:6). You are with Christ in a position that is far (in rank) above all principality and power, might. and dominion. and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come (Eph.1:20-21). You are in a position of wrap around blessing. God has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Eph.1:3). You are also in a position of deep intimacy with God. You have been accepted in the Beloved, Eph. 1:6. God has called us into the fellowship of His Son. Jesus Christ, 1 Cor. 1:9. “Our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ” (1John 1:3b).

Prayer Focus:
Worship God for making you a citizen of Heaven and thank Him for the wonderful features of the new position that He has raised you to.

Have a blessed weekend.
