[12/7, 6:59 AM] Emmanuel: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: MONDAY 7TH DECEMBER 2020.

THEME: DIVINE PROSPERITY.

MEMORISE:

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. Deuteronomy 28:1

READ: Genesis 1:26-30

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

MESSAGE:

When God created the earth, He looked at it and saw that it was very good (Genesis 1:31). Afterwards, He gave mankind dominion over all the resources. As a result, prosperity became the inheritance of every man. Unfortunately, man lost these benefits after falling into sin. Thankfully, God raised a second Adam to reconcile man to Himself.

Beloved, as soon as you are reconciled to God by connecting to the second Adam- Jesus Christ, whatever God has will become yours. What does God have? He owns the cattle upon a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), so you should not lack food. Among other things, gold and silver also belong to Him (Haggai 2:8).

Being God’s child means you have a mansion in the most beautiful estate ever, where the grounds is paved with gold. Isn’t that wonderful.

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:18

If we would enjoy divine prosperity, we must not forget God because it is only through His power, we can get wealth. This means if someone does not have enough power to get wealth, most likely, such a person has forgotten God.

Have you forgotten God? How is your relationship with Him? When last did you praise and worship Him alone without making requests? When last did you study your Bible all by yourself?

Those who have not forgotten God obey His every word, so He gives them everything they ask for. Job 36:11 says:
“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.”

Seek God first. Prosperity will follow (Matthew 6:33). God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

REFLECTION:

If you want to prosper, stay close to God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Romans 4-7

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMN 28: THERE SHALL BE SHOWERS OF BLESSING.

1. There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

o Refrain:
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

2. There shall be showers of blessing,
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.

3. There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.

4. There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!

5. There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.

*Understanding Spiritual Warfare*
*Text:* Eph 6: 12-13
_”For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”_

The weapons of our warfare aka the armour of God:

*# The SANDAL of the Evangelism#*
Eph 6:15, _”and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”_
The preaching of the Gospel of peace is indeed a weapon of warfare! Salvation is a spiritual battle and the preaching of the word is the power of God to save and to deliver. Apostle Paul said, _”For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”_(Rom 1:16). Without the preaching of the Good news, there cannot be salvation from sin and Satan.

In addition, the preaching of the Gospel is a mighty defence for the believer. No wonder the Bible says, _”Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.”_(2 Tim 4:2). You must put on the sandal of evangelism at all times. It is by so doing that you can crush Satan, the devil under your feet. Rom 16:20 says, _”And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”_ Consistent preaching of the word irrespective of the season you are ensures continuous victory on the battle field.

Lastly, putting on the sandal of evangelism is an act of obedience to the great commission. Jesus said, _“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”_(Matt 28-18-20). Complete obedience to the Lord includes _”having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”_
Look for someone to share the Gospel with today.

Shalom !

[12/7, 7:07 AM] Emmanuel: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Monday, 7th December, 2020

THIS IS YOUR FINEST HOUR

“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts”. Haggai 2:9 (KJV)

In this season of thanksgiving, child of God, get ready because something unique is about to break forth in your life. There is already a shift in the realm of the Spirit. I can see the mighty Hand of God propelling you into a new season of greater glory. It is a season of new things and greater glory for you. You may have failed before, but because you are relentless, dust yourself, square your shoulders and get ready to sit on your throne. Get ready to be launched into prominence from today. This is your moment of acceleration! What hitherto took you 10 years to achieve will come easy for you. I declare that this is your finest hour. I encourage you to follow the Lord with all your heart and strength.

Remember that prophecy has gone ahead of you. But the blessings would not just fall on you like a bag of cherries. You have a role to play. You have to be relentless in order to possess all that God has for you. Take a quality decision today to serve the Lord fervently. Be a student of the Bible so that you will be properly guided. The Psalmist in Psalms 119:9 said “wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way?” The second part of that verse says, “by taking heed thereto according to thy word.”

Beloved, your friends may suggest that you join them in their carefree lifestyle, but you have a responsibility to say no because you are a Kingdom person. Diligently take heed to the word of God. Let the word of God be the final arbiter on all matters. They may call you names but remain relentless. Refuse to conform to their standards. Hang in there because pretty soon God will be glorified in your life when they see your good works. This year may be winding down, but be assured, the coming year will bring you fullness of joy.

*FAITH FOR THE RAPTURE .*

Monday, December 7th .
Pastor Chris

_*In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be
raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (1 Corinthians 15:52).*_

At the Rapture, not everyone will hear the sound of the trumpet.
It’ll be audible only to the Christians who died in Christ already
and those alive at the time. Everybody else won’t hear it, because the sound of the trumpet would only be heard by faith. It’s not something you’re going to make an effort to hear, because as a Christian, you
already live by faith. Everything about your life and your relationship with
God is by faith; therefore, you’re going to hear it.

The Bible says, _*“By faith Enoch was translated that he should
not see death; and was not found…”*_ (Hebrews 11:5). He was raptured
by faith. So, with your faith in Jesus Christ, you have nothing to worry
about; trust that when the trumpet sounds, you’re going to hear it.

As read in our theme verse, the sound of the trumpet will happen faster than the snap of your finger. In a twinkling of an eye, we’re out of here, and suddenly, we’re in heaven. Every Christian ought to go at the rapture. It therefore means that anyone who doesn’t make the “first flight”
hasn’t been living for the Lord.

Keep your faith alive, and live for the Master every day. Walk in love
and in righteousness. Focus on getting others ready for the Rapture and
into the Kingdom of God.

*CONFESSION*

*Oh, what a day of rejoicing it’ll be when the Master shows up!
Today, I walk in the light of His Word and of my salvation, engrossed
in the pursuit of the expansion of His Kingdom, seeking, above all,
the rule and reign of His Kingdom in the earth and in the hearts of
men. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Hebrews 11:5-6* By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. *||*

*||* *1 Thessalonians 4:16-17* For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. *||*

[12/7, 7:07 AM] Emmanuel: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*
FROM:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,
Lagos.

*BE EXPECTANT*

Luke 6:38 (KJV)
*Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.*

The reason why many givers in the body of Christ are not blessed is because they are not expecting any return from their kingdom investment.

Your giving to God and humanity is an avenue for God’s blessing to flow into your life. Never allow any seed to leave your hand without expecting harvest from such an act of obedience. Everywhere scripture mentioned about giving (seed), it equally mentioned harvest. Doing one and not expecting another is an act of religion and prideful idea. It is the peak of ignorance.

Proverbs 3:9-10 (KJV)
[9] *Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:*
[10] *So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.*

God offers abundance as a reason why we should sow seed. He gave us verse ten in the above scripture in order to motivate us to do verse nine which is sowing (giving). Beloved, remember God’s greatest expectation from His children is to be believed and His greatest pain is to be doubted. *”For without faith, it is impossible to please God”* Hebrews 11:6.

God always delights and takes pleasure in our act of faith and faith is simply acting on God’s word. Hear this again.

Genesis 8:22 (KJV)
*While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.*

Any where there is seed of faith, God is committed to supplying the harvest. Anytime you sow seed, be expecting God to respond favourably to your act of confidence in Him. Beloved, from today, begin to give in order to receive.

Psalms 5:3 (NLT)
*Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.*

Let love motivate you and do not waver in your expectation. When you sow in expectation, your seed (giving) will stand before God as a testimony of your faith and confidence in Him and His promises.

Remember, you are not giving to help God but to be blessed. Give in expectation for that is the kingdom mystery that will make your seed to work for you. Beloved, it is not evil to sow for harvest, it is an offer your heavenly Father gave you, do not let religion and opinion of men take it away from you.

*PRAYERS:*

> Thank you my Lord for the gift of life and another beautiful day you have made.

> Thank you my Lord for your mercies and loving kindness towards me and my household.

> Thank you my Father for protecting us against the will of our enemies.

1. Isaiah 55:10 (KJV)
*…that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:*

Thank you my Father for beautifully supplying us seed to sow and bread to eat in the mighty name of Jesus!

2. Romans 10:2 (KJV)
*For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.*

O Lord my God, I repent of every act of religion that does not have bearing with your word in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. Isaiah 30:23 (KJV)
*Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.*

O Lord my God, release rain upon my seed sown into your kingdom and humanity and cause it to bring forth uncommon harvest in the mighty name of Jesus!

4. Zechariah 8:12 (KJV)
*For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things .*

O Lord my Father, cause my seed sown to begin to give an hundred fold harvest in the mighty name of Jesus!

5. Nehemiah 13:31 (KJV)
*And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.*

O Lord my Father, remember all my seed to your kingdom, servants and humanity in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Psalm 20:3 (KJV)
*Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.*

O Lord my God, let all my sacrifices come before you as a sweet savour and be acceptable in the mighty name of Jesus!

7. Jeremiah 4:3 (KJV)
*For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.*

O Lord my God, grant me sensitivity not to sow among thorns but on a fertile ground in the mighty name of Jesus!

8. 2 Chronicles 15:7 (KJV)
*Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.*

O Lord my God, arise and release my reward for all my seed and labour of love in your kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus!

9. Malachi 3:10 (KJV)
*Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it .*

O Lord my God, remember my obedience to your covenant of tithing and open the flood gates of heaven in my favour in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow.
*Rejoice evermore.*
*Pray without ceasing.*

[12/7, 7:07 AM] Emmanuel: Quality and quantity

Monday 7th December 2020

‘Children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord.’ Psalm127:3 CEV

Some people say it doesn’t matter how little time you spend with your children, as long as it’s quality time. But the logic of that concept seems suspect. Why do we have to choose between the virtues of quantity versus quality? We don’t accept that forced choice in any other area of our lives, so why is it only relevant to our children?

We could illustrate it this way. Suppose you’ve looked forward to eating at one of the finest restaurants in town all day. The waiter brings you a menu, and you order the most expensive steak in the house. But when the meal arrives, you see a tiny piece of meat about one-inch square on the centre of the plate. When you complain about the size of the steak, the waiter says, ‘I recognise that the portion is small, but it is the finest corn-fed beef money can buy. You will never find a better bite of meat than what we have served you tonight. As to the portion, I hope you understand that it’s not the quantity that matters; it’s the quality.’ You would object, and for good reason.

Why? Because both quantity and quality are important in many areas of our lives, including how we relate to our children. They need our time, and the best we have to give them. The truth is, the ‘quantity versus quality’ argument might be a poorly disguised rationalisation for giving our children – neither. The Bible says, ‘Children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord’ (Psalm127:3 CEV). So when it comes to giving them time and attention, they deserve the best in both quantity and quality.
