[12/8, 6:06 AM] Emmanuel: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG) *I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.*

Beloved, God has great and tremendous plans for your life. Your present situation is not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in you if you stay focused and connected to Him. See 2 Corinthians 4:17.

Psalms 40:5 (NLT)
*O Lord my God, you have done many miracles for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.*

Therefore, don’t give up or get discouraged, keep the faith alive, hope for greater and better days. I am so sure He is working out great things for you, if you don’t give up. God has promised never to leave or fail you. He will surely do as He has promised.

Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV)
*And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.*

The reason He sent His only begotten son to this world is to give us life and life abundantly.

John 10:10 (KJV)
*…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.*

Also, no matter how satisfying your life has been thus far, Jesus wants to make your future unto eternity more satisfying and glorious. Surely, God has better plans for your tomorrow than you have ever realized or imagined.

Isaiah 49:14-16 (KJV) [14] *But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.*
[15] *Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.*
[16] *Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.*

God is actually working on your issues, don’t give up or be discouraged. Your profiting of faith will soon appear to all.

1 Timothy 4:15 (KJV) *Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.*

God has never failed anyone who put his trust on Him. No matter how tough your situation may be, joy will surely come at the end.

Psalms 30:5 (KJV) *… weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.*

Beloved, bear in mind that there is absolutely nothing God cannot handle. Therefore, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

You will soon testify!!!

> Thank you my Lord for this wonderful day you have made.

> Thank you Lord for the gift of life and salvation of my soul.

[12/8, 6:07 AM] Emmanuel: Perfect morning Saints of GOD.

Tuesday, December 8th .
Pastor Chris

_*And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will comeagain, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, thereye may be also (John 14:3).*_

Many don’t understand what Jesus was talking about in thescripture above. Some have speculated that He was talkingabout the Second Coming or the Rapture, but that’s not what He wastalking about in that verse. To understand what Jesus meant, you’ll haveto stay in the context, and understand His message with your spirit, notwith your senses. He continued this interesting discourse till He got to the16th verse where He said, _*“And I will pray the Father, and he shallgive you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.”*_

The term “another Comforter” is the Greek phrase “Allonparaklēton,” meaning “another of same kind.” So, Jesus introduced theHoly Spirit at that point. Then He said, _*“…ye know him; for HE DWELLETH WITH YOU, and shall be in you”*_ (John 14:17). How did the Holy Spiritdwell with them at the time? Wasn’t He supposed to come on the Day ofPentecost? That tells us something. He wasn’t talking about the Holy Spirit alone; He was also referring to Himself!

To drive that point home, He went back to what He said in ourtheme verse, saying, _*“I will come again, and receive you unto myself…”*_ Then in verse 18, He said, _*“I will not leave you comfortless:I will come to you.”*_ How and when was He going to come to them?

In the 20th verse, He said, _*“AT THAT DAY ye shall know that I am inmy Father, and ye in me, and I in you.”*_ What day was He talkingabout? Evidently, He was talking about the day when the Holy Ghostcomes! So, when He said, “I will come to you,” He was saying, “I’ll cometo you in the Holy Spirit!” And on the Day of Pentecost, He fulfilled thatprecious promise: _*“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, andbegan to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”*_ (Acts 2:4). He’s in you today in all His fullness. Praise God!

*Dear Precious Holy Spirit, thank you for your indwelling and abiding presence which has made me a victor and a master over circumstances. Thank you for strengthening my faith and stirring up courage in me to do the will of God and fulfil my calling. My successin life is guaranteed because I’m yielded to your guidance and leading always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Hebrews 13:5 AMPC* Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] *||*

*||* *John 14:23* Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. *||*

*||* *1 Corinthians 3:16* Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? *||*

*Text: “Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.” Ps 49:20*

In the next couple of days we’ll take our time to look at specific things that God says we are and made available to us as believers. From our anchor scriptures “…Understandeth not…” simply means “does not know.” If you don’t know what God says about you then you will believe what people say. You will also call yourself what circumstances say. This will be detrimental to your journey in life.

Today we are going to start from the most basic scripture that applies to every believer. 2 Cor 5:17 says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” The first question you must answer correctly is “Are you in Christ?” Once this has been settled every statement in that scripture is applicable to you. I want you to note that the scriptures did not say “…He’s going to be a new creature once he does everything right…” read it again. It says “…he is a new creation”. This is a present hour reality. So I can confidently say “I am a new creation”. This is completely settled in Christ. That does not necessarily mean that we know it all or do everything right. But as far as redemption is concerned we are new creations. We have a life that is completely different from what we had before we came into Christ. The old man that committed sin does not exist again. It has been nailed together with Christ on the cross.

The life we have is not a refurbished life; but a new one. It never existed before. It has no record of sin or any wrongdoing. This new creation life is traceable to Christ. This life has no connection with our family background or where we were born. It’s not traceable to a particular church, its traceable to Christ. This life is purely the life of Christ in a mortal man. You are a new creation. Shout it everywhere. Tell everyone you meet.

I am a new creation. My life is connected to Christ. His life has become my life. His capacity has become mine.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Philippians 2:9

READ: Philippians 2:9-11

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When we talk about greatness, we are talking about influence. You cannot call a man great if he has all the money in the world but nobody likes to obey him. My mother used to pray for me thus: “You will call one person and many people will respond”. She did not need to literarily say that I would be great even though that was what the prayer meant; all she had to say was that I would be a man of influence and the greatness was sure, when the Bible was talking about the great woman of Shunem, it records that when the Prophet asked if she would want a recommendation to the king or the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, she replied that she did not need assistance in that regard (2 Kings 4:13). She was a woman of influence.

Since greatness is influence, then I’m sure you know that the one who is greater than the greatest is the Most Influential One. So, how great is our God? According to Philippians 2:9-11, our God has influence on earth and influence underneath the earth. He also has influence over the wind and sea. Mark 4:41 says the wind and the sea obey Him. He has influence over fire; He can turn the fiery furnace to an air-conditional room.

The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will. Proverbs 21:1

The above passage says that God is so influential that He has complete control over the most influential people in the world. There is no area or person over whom our God does not have influence-none!

Now, when God wants to make someone great, what He does is to give the fellow some of His influence. We see that very well in the case of Jesus Christ. After Jesus had paid the price for the redemption of man, God’s reward to Him was influence. This tells us one thing: the way to true greatness is to please God. I can confidently say by God’s grace that I am a great man because I strive to please Him every day of my life. Do you want to be great? Surrender all to Jesus and He will endow you with His glory (John 17:20-22).

Seek true greatness.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Romans 8-10

1. I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
o Refrain:
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

🗣️The grace of God is needed to overcome the weaknesses of life.

*SCRIPTURE* 📖: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. Titus 2:11-12.

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* 🤔: When you identify the weakness in your life that satan wants to capitalise on to take you to hell, apply for the grace of God.

The grace of God is needed to overcome the weaknesses of life. The grace of God is needed because people are confronted with diverse kinds of weaknesses.

Hebrews 12:1 refers to these weaknesses as “the sins which doth so easily beset us”. These sins, which satan uses to pull people down, are unique to different people. For example, there are people who don’t drink alcohol or smoke cigarette but when they are tempted with money matters, they would easily fall even though they appear to be fervent Christians. Some people can be praying in tongues yet cheating people. It may be a generational weakness. People in a particular family may be known for or identified with a certain kind of weakness. So, identify the weakness in your life and ask God for the grace to deal with it.

So, when you identify the weakness in your life that Satan wants to capitalise on to take you to hell, apply for the grace of God. The grace makes you to say “No” to sin (Titus 2:11-12). When you are confronted with sin, you tell God: “Lord, I need grace to overcome this sin – this alcoholic tendency, this immorality, this pornographic addiction, these habits of lying and cheating etc.” And as you apply for grace, also apply physical caution or safeguard. For example, if you know that your problem is lying, gossip, exaggeration, betraying people, etc. reduce the way you talk.

Beloved, as you apply for grace to overcome your weaknesses, you shall overcome the enemy and his temptations in Jesus’ Name.

*Remember this* 💡: When you identify the weakness in your life that satan wants to capitalise on to take you to hell, apply for the grace of God.

*1. Identify the weakness(es) in your life* .

*2. Always apply for the grace of God to overcome the weakness(es) of life* .

*3. Be cautious in life and don’t take the grace of God for granted. Don’t misuse the grace of God as an opportunity to commit more sins* .

*PRAYER* 🙏🏼: O Lord, I apply for Your grace to overcome the weaknesses of my life. I receive Your Help Lord to say “No” to sin. Help me to maintain uprightness of life by Your grace, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

*QUOTE* : Pray this prayer with me, “…deliver me from the vanity and fantasies of this world. Give me the grace to say “no” to sin and compromise. Give me the grace to live in righteousness and represent you well to my world”. Culled from “GO IN THIS THY MIGHT” by Dr Paul Enenche.

*DAILY READING: 2 Thessalonians 2 – 1 Timothy 1*

*AMAZING FACT* 😳: Female bats give birth while hanging upside down, catching the baby in their wings as it drops. This is wonderful!

*PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD* 🔊🌧️: Grace to overcome every negative fleshly tendency be released upon you in Jesus’ Name.

*Good Morning ☘️🌹*
