Morning Devotion

[12/12, 6:24 AM] Emmanuel: *Seeds 🥑🥒🥥🍌Of Destiny*
_12 December 2020_
_Daily Devotional by Dr_ _Pastor Paul Enenche_
*TOPIC: THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF ETERNITY*

🗣️The devil does not mind how successful we are on earth for as long as we don’t think about eternity.

*SCRIPTURE* 📖: Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matthew 25:13

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* 🤔: The consciousness of eternity makes people to be cautious in time.

One of the things that seems to have been forgotten in our generation today is the consciousness of eternity. People are always conscious of the cares of this life but they don’t seem to be conscious of eternity; they are conscious of their daily needs but they are not conscious of heaven and hell. And this is not supposed to be so because it is the consciousness of eternity that makes people to be cautious in time.

Now, one of the easiest things any pastor can do is to preach people into excitement. As a pastor, it is easy to give keys for earthly progress and prosperity; it is easy to make people excited so they can commend your message as a powerful one. But the greatest help anybody can do to a fellow human being is to point them to the reality of eternity; that is, the reality of heaven and hell.

We live in days where the devil is fighting with all his strength to blindfold people to the reality of the afterlife.

Take note of this: The devil does not mind how successful we are on earth for as long as we don’t think about eternity. The devil does not mind how many results or achievements we have, how many things we are able to get by faith in this world as long as we don’t live in the consideration of eternity.

Beloved, a time will come when our breathing will stop and all the organs in our body will stop functioning. Then, we will appear before God in eternity. At that time, the money we have in our account, the car we drive, the dress we wear, etc. will not matter. What will matter then will be the investment we have made in our spirit and into eternity.

Beloved, receive the grace to be conscious of eternity always, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: The consciousness of eternity makes people to be cautious in time

*ASSIGNMENTS* :

*1. Always live with eternity in view.*

*2. Do not do anything that will jeopardise your eternity with God.*

*3. Maintain your relationship with God always through consecration and upright living* .

*PRAYER* 🙏🏼: Thank You Lord for showing me the path of life. Help me to live daily in the consciousness of eternity, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

*FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE:🔊📀 THE HELL-WAY OF BITTERNESS (PART 2).*

*QUOTE* : God loves you and me and He is telling us these things because He wants us to make it in this life and in eternity. Culled from “WHO ARE YOU?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

*DAILY READING: Titus 1-3*

*AMAZING FACT* 😳: The average human body contains enough sulphur to kill all the fleas on the average dog, enough carbon to make 900 pencils, enough potassium to fire a toy cannon, enough fat to make seven bars of soap and enough water to fill a 50-litre barrel.

*PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD* 🔊🌧️: Grace to run the race be released upon you in Jesus’ Name.

*Good Morning 🌻🌹*
[12/12, 6:51 AM] +234 807 755 0073: We have all been given individual gifts and goals in life, and God is the giver of both. Jesus said, ‘That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit’ (John 3:6). When you have a desire that’s ‘born of the flesh,’ don’t expect God to fulfil it. It’s okay to admire and learn from gifted, successful people, as long as you don’t try to duplicate them. It’s okay to emulate their good character qualities and seek their input as long as you go to God, the architect of each of our lives, and ask Him to show you His blueprint for your life. Even though David’s desire was to build the temple, God told him his son, Solomon, would ultimately build it. David’s job was to raise the money and materials for the project. If you are a ‘make-it-happen’ sort of person, that kind of thinking will go against your grain. So read this and think about it: ‘Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, after they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them’ (Acts 16:6-10). So let God set your goals and you will be heading in the right direction.

[12/12, 7:06 AM] Emmanuel: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE : SATURDAY 12TH DECEMBER 2020

THEME : HONOUR YOUR PARENTS

MEMORISE : “Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” Exodus 20:12

READ : Ephesians 6:1-3 (KJV)
1. Children, obey your parents in the Lord; for this is right.
2. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3. That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Acts 24-26

MESSAGE
Today’s memory verse says that you must honour your parents if you do not want to die young. This is because of the law of harvest.

Whatever you do to your parents, your children will do to you in future. If you honour your parent, you will live to become a parent and your children will honour you in return. The Bible says that God gets very upset at children who mistreat their parents. “Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness” Proverbs 20:20.

The above passage tells you that you should watch what you say to or about your parents, so that your light would not be put out in the day time.

In other words, if all of a sudden, a child thinks that he/she is now of age and prosperous and need not have any regard for his/her parents anymore, not only would the child die suddenly, he/she would do so in such a manner as to make people wonder “How can this be?” I want to appeal to you if your parents are still alive, that you honour them, if you want to live long and enjoy the blessings of God.

This is the sole cause of the death of many young people these days, but because it cannot be scientifically proven, many people ignore it.

Your parents, no matter how bad they may have been, are the ones chosen by God to bring you to this world.

He knew how they would treat you before He allowed you come through them, and since we know that God does all things for our good, then our parents have a part to play in the fulfilment of our destiny. God brought you to this world through them, so the least you can do is to honour them.

You may be saying “Oh, you don’t know what my parents have done to me; if you did, you wouldn’t be telling me to honour them.”

Well, they may have been horrible to you, but you don’t have to extend the effect of what they did to you by dishonouring them.

It is for your own good that you honour them because dishonouring them brings a curse.

Forgive them for whatever they have done wrong and begin to honour them as from today. It is God’s will that you do so.

KEY POINT
Dishonouring your parents is like committing suicide. Don’t kill yourself.

*Receiving Comfort from the Holy Spirit*

_John14:16-18 (AMP)_
_And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, ond Standby), that He may remain with you forever – The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you._

The first thing that helps us receive comfort from the Holy Spirit is a consciousness of His presence and an acknowledgement of the fact that He is just like Jesus. How would you feel if Jesus was physically by your side right now? Everything that Jesus would have done if He was physically by your side right now is what the Holy Spirit is available to do for you right now. He will comfort you by being your Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and your Standby in every situation you find yourself in. He will manifest resurrection power in your life.

The Holy Spirit is a Person and He is one with God, 1John 5:7. One of the ways the Holy Spirit comforts us is through prophecy. In the New Testament, prophecy extends beyond predicting the future. Prophecy is declaring the mind of God by the inspiration of the Spirit. Prophecy is for edification, exhortation and comfort (1Cor.14:3). Every believer who is filled with the Holy Spirit has the ability to prophesy and we should prophecy to ourselves too. Joel 2:28a says, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…”

As the Holy Spirit stirs in our hearts the deep things that are on the mind of God. God wants us to speak those things, 1Cor. 2:9-13. The Holy Spirit also comforts us by praying for us, Rom. 8:26-27. We also receive the comfort of the Holy Spirit as we pray in tongues. The comfort of the Spirit brings strength and growth. Acts 9:31 (NKJV) says, “Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.”

Prayer Focus: Pray in the Spirit right now and receive the comfort of the Spirit. Boldly declare the things the Holy Spirit stirs up in your heart.

*PRAY FOR GOD’S PEOPLE IN DISTRESS .*

Saturday, December 12th .
Pastor Chris

_*Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of theLord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it iswith you (2 Thessalonians 3:1).*_

In Acts 12:1-2, the Bible says, _*“…Herod the king stretched forthhis hands to vex certain of the church. And he killed Jamesthe brother of John with the sword.”*_ When the Church heard thatJames had been arrested, they must have thought, “James arrested?Nothing will happen to him; he’s a man of faith.” But once James waskilled, it got their attention.

“Where was God? How did God allow it to happen?” some mayhave wondered, trying to put the blame on God. But it’s not God thatallows such things to happen. Jesus said, _*“And in that day ye shall askme nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall askthe Father in my name, he will give it you”*_ (John 16:23).

Then in Matthew 28:18, He declared, “…All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me”; and on the basis of that authority, He said, “…go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19). Jesus gave us His authority; He gave us His Name. So, it wasn’t Jesus that let themkill James; it was the Christians that didn’t do their job by exercising theirauthority in prayer.

When Peter was arrested next, the Bible says they (the church)prayed without ceasing; God intervened and Peter was released (Acts12:5-7). So, every time you pray, you’re making it “legally” possible forGod to intervene in some ways that He wouldn’t have, had you notprayed.

This is why we must pray for ministers of the Gospel, and advancement of the ministry of reconciliation in these last days. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Colossae, _*“Withal praying alsofor us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speakthe mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds”*_ (Colossians 4:3). Since God already told them to go and preach the Gospel, why did they need to pray to God to open for them a door of utterance? It tells you thatthere’re adversaries in the world. So always pray for the churches of Christ around the world.

Several reports confirm that Christians are the most persecutedgroup in the world. Many are in dire distress, made to face the mostinhuman treatments because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Through yourprayers for them, they’ll be strengthened; the Lord will intervene in their situations. Praise God!

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I pray for ministers of the Gospel and God’s peoplearound the world, that their strength fail not. I pray against men or institutions who foster persecution of Christians and hinder thespread of the Gospel; we cut off the influence of such forces andtheir efforts are made futile. In spite of them, the Gospel is spreading rapidly, with the speed of the Spirit, and prevailing, inJesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *2 Thessalonians 3:1-2* Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have [free] course, and be glorified, even as [it is] with you: 2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all [men] have not faith. *||*

*||* *Romans 15:30-32* Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in [your] prayers to God for me; 31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which [I have] for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints; 32 That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. *||*

[12/12, 7:08 AM] Emmanuel: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Saturday, 12th December, 2020

THE WORD OF GOD HAS NO MARGIN FOR FAILURE

“And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome” Acts 23:11 KJV

Every effort was made to kill Paul. But by reason of divine happenings he was not killed.  There were some people who took an oath that they would not eat or drink until they kill Paul. But by divine manipulation, a young boy heard when they were plotting against Paul and went to reveal this plot to the officials who now moved Paul ahead of time in order to prevent those people from killing him. It was a divine arrangement that God made based on the Word He had earlier spoken. The Word of God will not fall to the ground. He had spoken that Paul would defend himself in Rome. The Word spoken by God brought about all the challenges. That is telling you that the devil will always fight every Word of God. But God is able to keep you and ensure that His Word comes to pass.

The battle is about the Word and the Promise.  Persecutions, trials, temptations, and difficulties come for the word’s sake. The more revelation you receive, the more attack you will be under. But as long as you latch on to the Word in faith, God will always come through for you.
Faith is the access. Faith is the medium by which we tap into God’s resources. That is why God gave you faith the day you are saved. This faith is supernatural faith. It is not human faith.

There is no margin of error with the Word of God. It can never fail.
Never build your faith on what you can see, what you can hear, what you can touch, what you can taste or what you can feel. We don’t wait to see before we believe. We believe what God has said and our faith brings forth the manifestation.
