RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SUNDAY 13TH DECEMBER 2020
INSPIRED AND AFIRE ALWAYS .
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest (Joshua 1:9).
Since the day I received the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, I’ve never ran out of inspiration. The key is fellowship with the Holy Spirit! That’s the secret of ALWAYS being inspired and afire for the Lord. The Holy Spirit should be your number one driving force in life. Without Him, life is a drag; dull, empty and vain!
Christianity without the Holy Spirit is mere religion. In fact, it’s very difficult to win souls without the Holy Spirit. As a child of God, being filled with the Holy Spirit every day isn’t negotiable. You have to know Him, walk in Him and with Him. He has to become a constant part of your life.
Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…. Your understanding of the Word will drive you to live every day of your life for the expansion of God’s Kingdom; nothing else will make sense to you in this world, except the things of Christ. With the Word of God in your spirit, and coming forth from your mouth, you can serve the Lord faithfully and bring Him glory now, and in the ages to come. Have a wild and voracious appetite for the Word.
Your love for the Master will compel you to tell the world of His saving power. 2 Corinthians 5:14 (NIV) says, “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” The Apostle Paul is showing us the motivational force behind his overwhelming passion for the Gospel; it was the love of Christ. You can’t love Him and not be propelled to tell the world about it. You’ll wake up every day inspired and aflame to serve God. Praise God!
My participation in the Gospel—my passion for its spread around the world—remains indomitable. God has called me and given me a divine mandate; I maintain my focus, and I’m committed to that calling, compelled by the love of Christ to do the things that I should do on earth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And [that] he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily. 9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But [his word] was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not [stay].
[Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

GOD WILL COME THROUGH FOR YOU
“But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.” Luke 1:13 (KJV)
God is always coming through. He is never late. It may appear to be delayed, but delay is not denial. So, I want to tell you today that if there is anything that has been delayed in your life get ready for an answer.
We serve a God that answers prayers. He is a prayer answering God and He will never deny you. Your testimony is special. That is why the devil has been fighting you over these years. You will receive that testimony and there is no power that will stop it. No devil can ever stop your blessing.
The coming of John the Baptist was prophesied by God though Prophet Isaiah hundreds of years before he was born. When it was time for him to come, his appointed parents were Zachariah and Elisabeth. And it appeared as if they were barren and they were well stricken in age. They waited for several years trusting God for a child, but the child never came. There was a delay! But this couple kept on serving. They were not serving for what they can get. They were serving God because God is God. Keep serving and keep loving the Lord. You will not be forgotten. You will not be denied
The scripture says that one day as Zachariah went into the temple in the usual manner in order to offer sacrifice, without expecting anything, he was visited right there. Your time of visitation has come. Your days of waiting are over. You are in the season of remarkable breakthrough and outstanding miracles. Get ready for unprecedented success.
As the year draws to a close, God will give you an eleventh-hour miracle. He will crown the year with goodness for you In Jesus’ name.

*Celebration of the Grace and Mercy of God*
_1 Corinthians 15:10, Psalms 127:1-2 (NKJV), Psalms 124:1 & 8_
_But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. *Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. *If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; *Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth._
It is not your labour or your wisdom, your connections or your wealth or any other thing you might consider that has kept you alive and caused you to achieve all that you have this year. It was all by the grace and the mercy of God. There are certain things that some other people did not survive, but you survived. How do you think you survived? Why do you think you did not lose your mind? Why do you think you are still in the faith? If you lost anything, why do you think you did not lose everything? It was simply by the grace of God. The Bible says, “it is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness,” Lam.3:22-23. Today, let us celebrate God for His abundant grace and mercies.
Romans 9:16 (GNB) says, “So then, everything depends, not on what we humans want or do. but only on God’s mercy.” Are you aware of the many unseen battles that God fought and won on your behalf? Or do you think it is your security apparatus or consciousness that has kept you safe? The Bible says, “The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD” (Prov. 21:31). A song writer wrote, “we are here today because God kept us and we’re alive today only because of His grace.” It is only because of His grace. Our salvation was by His grace and only God’s grace has kept us in Him. For every good thing that we have done. it is God who has been at work in us, making us willing and able to do His good will (Phil. 2:13). Look over your life today and thank God for His abundant love and kindness that He shown to you, even from ages past. Do not let anyone to stop you from expressing your gratitude and appreciation to God from the depth of your heart. Celebrate the grace and the mercy of God.
Thanksgiving Prayer: Heavenly Father, it is your abundant mercy and grace that has kept me and made me everything I am today. Thank you, Lord!

THE GOD OF MIRACLES
2 Kings 6:1-7
1. And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.
2. Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.
3. And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.
4. So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.
5. But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.
6. And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he showed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.
7. Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.
But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.
2 Kings 6:5
A miracle happens when God suspends the law of nature in a particular situation. For example, Jesus suspended the law of gravity for a while so He could walk on water. It is often difficult to explain a miracle to unbelievers, because such occurrences defy natural understanding. The good news is that it does not matter what the world may say, my Daddy is the miracle-working God and when He steps into a matter, miracles happen. It has been in God’s nature from time immemorial to do miracles. The creation of Heaven and earth was a miracle. Every principle established on earth started as a miracle when first made. Before it became normal for the sun to shine, God first performed the miracle of creation. When Jesus (God the Son) came, He established Himself as a functional part of the Godhead by performing several novel miracles. As many as these miracles were, the book of John 21:25 says:
“And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”
We will use our Bible reading as a typical example of a miracle. The sons of the prophets were carrying out a ministry building project when the axe head they borrowed fell into a deep river. The one from whose hands it fell cried out for help and got it in the most amazing fashion. Prophet Elisha threw a light log of wood into the river and a very heavy axe head floated in its place while the wood sank like a rock. God reverses principles to establish His will. He is not controlled by the principles He created; He controls everything! The principle of floatation was reversed and the sons of the prophets were saved from embarrassment.Nothing is impossible for the God of miracles (Luke 1:37 ). Put all your trust in Him.I decree and declare God’s miraculous intervention into every situation that wants to embarrass you, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, please intervene in my life and turn all impossibilities to possibilities, in the mighty name of Jesus.
