[12/23, 6:52 AM] faithemm2015: Compliment of the season Saints of GOD.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

Christmas is about who Jesus is, and what He came to do. He didn’t come to establish a religion. He didn’t come to merely show us how to do good things; He came to give us life; God’s life. God made us, and He wanted us to have His kind of life, and His plan was that Jesus would be the one to give us that life.

He also planned that we would receive that life through faith, because His kingdom is inapparent to the senses. Hebrews 11:6 says without faith, it’s impossible to please God. The Christmas carol: “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” puts it succinctly in its verse: “…Born that man no more may die; born to raise the sons of earth; born to give them second birth.” How beautiful!

However, the biggest thing is Christ born in your heart. The Bible says, _*“Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). We’re talking about the Lord, the One who was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven; the Son of the living God—taking up His abode in the quarters of your heart!

This means He’s become one with your spirit. No wonder Peter said we’re associates, comrades of the God-kind (2 Peter 1:4). Christmas means you’re in Christ and Christ is in you; you have the life and nature of God in you NOW! Hallelujah! If you haven’t yet received that life, you can do so right away. Turn to the Prayer Of Salvation on page 76 and pray that prayer. Say those words and mean them with all your heart and your life will immediately become the manifestation of His goodness, glory, grace and love.

I have the life and nature of God in my spirit. He gave His life for me, so I could live and walk in His righteousness, glory and grace. Therefore, by my faith, I’m a partaker of God’s divine nature, having been impacted with His life! My life is full of glory, because Christ is in me. Hallelujah!

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 5:11-13
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

[12/23, 6:52 AM] faithemm2015: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Wednesday, 23rd December, 2020

”But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18 (KJV)

Beloved, if you take a close look around you today, you would notice that the activities of the enemy seem to have increased, but the good news however, is that the grace of God abounds even much more. This is the best time for the believer to be alive. Because while it is getting darker in the world, it is actually getting brighter in the church. What that simply means is that you have enough grace to navigate your way this year in-spite of what you see around you.

The grace of God upon your life is intended by God to take you high above contrary situations and circumstances so that you can soar where others are crawling. In other words, when men are saying that there is a casting down, you are saying there is a lifting up. That is what makes you different from the world because they cannot understand how you function. That is why Apostle Paul in second Timothy 2:1, in his letter to his son Timothy, encouraged him to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. That grace was to enable him endure hardship like a good soldier of Christ and yet stay on top of his game.

Beloved, in a world such as ours today, you really cannot function without the grace of God upon your life because everything is designed to work against you. If God does not help you, there is no way you can make it. Like I have always said, functioning by the grace of God is just the starting point. The truth is that you need to grow in that grace. Since growth can only come through the knowledge of Jesus Christ, you must take a quality decision to get to know Him intimately.

Beloved, it’s not all about just coming to church or getting involved in activities. It goes beyond that. You must make up your mind to personally seek the Lord through the study of the word, in prayers and fasting so that you can know Him for yourself.

[12/23, 6:52 AM] faithemm2015: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh what peace we often forfeit
Oh what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Matthew 6:13 (KJV) *”…lead us not into temptation, but deliver (exempt) us from evil…”*

Beloved, the Lord had made adequate provisions for our all- round protection and exemption from all evil. Prayer of exemption is one of the covenant keys to access this provision. We must know how to take our challenges to God in prayer and not in murmuring.
The scripture recommends that in such a time like this, when the wicked one has doubled his wicked activities, we must maximise the benefits of prayer by praying ourselves out of his reach.

James 5:13 (KJV)
*Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.*

That means prayer is the way out of every form of affliction. Beloved, you can secure your family and all the blessings of God in your life via prayer of exemption. Our Lord Jesus consciously prayed it for us and He left an example for us to follow.

John 17:15 (KJV)
*I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.*

The sure way out of evil is to ask the Lord to continually deliver us from it. Beloved, many believers have been victims and casualties of evil because of assumptions. They never give covenant priority to the prayer of exemption from evil.

Psalms 18:6 (KJV)
*In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.*

Whenever you sense the operations of enemies, run to the Lord in prayer. And you will surely be exempted from all evil such as untimely death, accident etc.

> Thank you Lord for another beautiful day you have made.

> Thank you lord for the joy of the season.

>Thank you Father for the gift of your beloved son to us.

> Thank you Lord for divine protection and deliverance.

> Thank you Father for daily supplying all my needs.

ii. My Father and my God, frustrate all the tokens of diviners around my family in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. Job 5:13 (KJV)

10. Zephaniah 3:15 (KJV)
*The Lord hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the Lord , is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.*

[12/23, 6:52 AM] faithemm2015: *DAILY MANNA
Wednesday, December 23, 2020**

It is advisable that you prayerfully and meditatively read the text first.

Topic: *The Inward Change*
Text: Luke 19:1-10

1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.

2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Key Verse: “And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold” (Luke 19:8).

A leper once lived in a village. Despite his grievous health condition, he was a successful farmer. Nearly every resident in the neighbourhood where he was living related with him afar off for fear of being infected. Likewise, children were warned against running errands for him. He was just living the life of a recluse.

This account is akin to the one in our text today. Zacchaeus, the chief of publicans, did not just see Jesus Christ from the sycamore tree. Jesus equally saw and commanded him to “come down; for today I must abide at thy house.” But the Jews were not happy at Christ’s decision because they saw him as a spiritual leper. At that time, the Roman Empire levied heavy taxes upon all nations under their control.

The Jews opposed it because they saw it as a means of supporting its pagan gods and secular government. Zacchaeus was a high-ranking tax collector in the employment of the Roman Empire. Consequently, he was tagged a chronic sinner, who was oppressing the Jews and using his office to amass wealth.

However, Jesus Christ did not reason the way the Jews did. Rather, He could only see in Zacchaeus a stereotyped sinner ready to seek forgiveness and forsake his iniquities. While the religious Jews could only see a sinner doomed and going to hell, Jesus saw a sinner waiting for a Saviour and a way out of his dubious and pernicious ways of life. His declaration revealed the inward change that had taken place in him. Jesus Christ never condemned him, but received him.

As deeply as you may have gone into sin, Jesus will never reject you if you approach Him with an open heart. Invite Him to pardon all your sins and grant you His forgiveness and salvation. If you want Him to receive you as He did to Zacchaeus, you must be ready not just to receive external cleansing, but also inward cleansing.

Thought For The Day: _Be cleansed both inwardly and outwardly._

*The Bible In One Year: Jude*

*How to differentiate between true repentance and spurious repentance*

1. *Pre-repentance attitude*
a. Desire and willingness to be in the assembly where Jesus is and the word of God is preached in truth, v3.

b. Definite efforts to connect with where Jesus and His children are found, vv3,4.

c. Determination to see and hear the word of God wherever the opportunity is, v4.

d. Decision to experience Christ and not just sight seeing or other motives, v4.

**Question* : Do you have the pre-repentance attitude?

**Note* : This is how to recognise someone who is not far from the kingdom. This attitude should form part of our prayer points for sinners.

2. *Timely response action*
a. The person is immediately marked out for salvation by Christ, v5.

b. From that time on, every action is put in place by the Holy Spirit with the cooperation of saints to save that person, v5.

c. The point is supported by the parable of the prodigal son. The father ran to meet him immediately he saw him afar off, close to the Kingdom, Luke 15:20.

**Question* : How quickly and readily do you cooperate with Holy Spirit to help someone with pre-repentance attitude? God will specially reward you for prompt and sacrificial attitude to help such person.

3. *True repentance attitude*

a. Total obedience to the word of God revealed as instruction without being ashamed, vv5,6.

b. True humility that will overlook ones status and just do what the word of God say, vv5,6.

c. Tested decision that will not wait for human approval, no matter how close, before following Christ, v7.

d. Transcendental and willing action to make amends with people by willingly apologising to the offended or returning all stolen or wrongly acquired items, v8.

**Note* : True repentance will always produce a genuine experience of salvation, vv9,10.

**Question* : Do you have true repentance attitude? Are you still maintaining that attitude even after salvation?

*Prayer Points*
As a sinner, *ask* for the spirit of true repentance🙏

As a saint, *ask* that you will have grace to continue with that godly attitude🙏

*Ask* for the old time conviction of sin, old time repentance and old time salvation during the retreat🙏

Pray for restoration of lost christian experiences.

Hymn: *When I saw the cleansing founta* in

1 When I saw the cleansing fountain,
Open wide for all my sin,
I obeyed the Spirit’s wooing
When He said, “Wilt thou be clean?”

*Refrain* :
*I will praise Him! I will praise Him!
Praise the Lamb for sinners slain;
Give Him glory, all ye people,
For His blood can wash away each stain.*

2 Tho’ the way seems straight and narrow,
All I claimed was swept away;
My ambitions, plans and wishes,
At my feet in ashes lay.
[ *Refrain* ]

3 Blessed be the name of Jesus!
I’m so glad He took me in;
He’s forgiven my transgressions,
He has cleansed my heart from sin.
[ *Refrain* ]

4 Glory, glory to the Father!
Glory, glory to the Son!
Glory, glory to the Spirit!
Glory to the Three in One!

[12/23, 6:52 AM] faithemm2015: 🍒🌽SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

Beloved, when you take cocaine, heroin, LSD, Marijuana, defile your body which is the temple of God, and suffocate the Spirit of God in you, you will give an account before God on the last day.

SCRIPTURE: Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One day, you will give an account of what you did with the healthy body God gave to you.

It has been confirmed that one day, we will all give account of how we lived our lives to God.

Now, one area of accountability to God is accountability regarding the use of your body. One day, you will give an account of what you did with the healthy body God gave to you.

Beloved, when you take cocaine, heroin, LSD, Marijuana, defile your body which is the temple of God, and suffocate the Spirit of God in you, you will give an account before God on the last day.

Maybe you are into drinking of alcohol which puts your liver at great risk; you will give an account of the damage you are doing to your body before God on that day.

When you defile your body through immoral lifestyle, you will give account to God on the last day.

As a young lady, you will give an account of the way you dress and present your body as a tool of advertisement for satan to take people to hell. When you meet God, you will tell Him why you exposed your body for a weak brother to behold and fall into immorality. You may say that nobody can tell you how to dress but one day, God will ask you of your motive for exposing your body as a channel to lead people to hell.

Beloved, my counsel is, refuse to take anyone to hell because of how you present your body or live. Live in the fear of God.

Remember this: One day, you will give an account of what you did with the healthy body God gave to you.

1. Make your body a habitable temple for God.

2. Live in the consciousness of accountability with God.

PRAYER: O Lord, I ask that You give me the grace to make my body a dwelling place for Your presence. Help me not to defile my body in any way, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: Some people would not be dressing the way they are dressing now if they had been hearing what we have been saying! Culled from “GO IN THIS THY MIGHT” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: 1 John 4-2 John 1

AMAZING FACT: The surface area of the human lungs is approximately equal to the area of a tennis court.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The grace to live in the consciousness of accountability before God is released on you in Jesus’ Name.

*Live a Worthy Life*

_Ephesians 4:1 (KJV, NLT & AMP)_
_I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, *Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. *I therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to and beg you to walk (lead a life) worthy of the [divine] calling to which you have been called [with behavior that is a credit to the summons to God’s service]._

The Greek word for worthy in our text above is ‘axios.‘ It means, “appropriately, due and deserving.” The opposite of this word is used in 1 Corinthicms 11:27 where Apostle Paul was speaking about ‘the way’ some Corinthian believers approached the communion. He said, “Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.” The Greek word for unworthily here is ‘anoxios’ and it means: “irreverently or unfit.” In other words, dishonourobly. It refers to when a person does not understand the value and importance of something and this lack of understanding produces the wrong behaviour. In 1 Corinthions 11:29 (GNB), Apostle Paul said, “For if you do not recognize the meaning of the Lord’s body when you eat the bread and drink from the cup, you bring judgment on yourself as you eat and drink.”

When Apostle Paul spoke about taking the communion unworthily, he was not saying that they were unworthy to take it. He was saying that they were taking it in on unworthy monner, i.e., not doing so with reverence and with the understanding that they were consuming the body of Christ. Instead, they treated it like ordinory bread and wine, so much so that some of them ate and drunk like they were in a feast, while others did not even portoke at all, 1Cor. 11:20-22.

In our text above, Apostle Paul is pleading that as believers, we should strive to understand the value and importance of the kind of life that God has called us to live in Christ. We should allow this understanding to affect the way that we live. God has called us to live the life of Christ. As such, God wants us to live our lives in a way that honours Him, just as Christ did.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for the great privilege you have given me to live the life of Christ. Help me understand this privilege and live rightly.
