Morning Devotion

Wednesday, December 30th .
Pastor Chris

_*For God, the Faithful One, is not unfair. How can he
forget the work you have done for him? He remembers the
love you demonstrate as you continually serve his beloved
ones for the glory of his name (Hebrews 6:10 TPT).*_

This is as inspiring as it’s comforting! Everything you do for the
Lord is recorded, and He rewards you for it. He’s mindful of your work and labour of love. You may have been told you were wasting your time or being foolish for preaching the Gospel and serving the Lord
as you do, but God cares about your work. Therefore, keep at it.

He said in Revelation 22:12, _*“And, behold, I come quickly; and
my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall
be.”*_ What a day that will be! What a day to look forward to! So I urge you
with the same words of the Spirit by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians
15:58, _*“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know
that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”*_

There may be times that you’re about the Lord’s work and there seem to be adversities on every side; don’t despair. At such times,
always remember that the Lord isn’t unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love. He’ll reward you for all that you do, and have done in and
for His Kingdom.

He knows about your tears in intercession; your passion in prayer
for lost souls. He’s aware of all your financial contributions to the spread
of the Gospel, and your personal evangelical efforts to win souls for Christ. He’s aware of all the sacrifices you’ve made for His Name’s sake;
the time, money, family, friends and relationships you gave up for Him!
He hasn’t forgotten.

Your blessing isn’t deferred but begins here on earth (read Mark 10:29-31). You’re never a fool for your devotion to Christ. Your faith, hope and love are not in vain. Keep doing all that the Lord inspires you to do for Him; keep spreading His glory through your works of righteousness in
your world, and in the regions beyond.

*Dear heavenly Father, with an unwavering commitment and renewed
vigour, I give my time, resources, money and all in my care for the Gospel. I yield myself to your Spirit for greater service, passionately seeking the expansion of your Kingdom, for I know that greater
blessings are mine in Christ Jesus, with greater honours. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Matthew 16:26-27* For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. *||*

*||* *2 John 1:8 AMPC* Look to yourselves (take care) that you may not lose (throw away or destroy) all that we and you have labored for, but that you may [persevere until you] win and receive back a perfect reward [in full]. *||*

*||* *2 Timothy 4:5-8* But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. *||*

[12/30, 6:58 AM] faithemm2015: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Wednesday, 30th December, 2020

“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”. Mark 9:23 (KJV).

Today, I come your way with an assurance from God’s word that everything you are trusting Him for is possible. Yes, the year is 48 hours to go, but God is able to exceed your expectations. You need to understand that time is for man, God created time, stepped out of time and controls time. So, He is ageless and limitless.
You need to understand that the intention of the devil is to put pressure on you, make you doubt God and tell you there is no way out of the situation. So that he can slow you down, isolate you and if possible, stop you from receiving all that God has ordained for you. But devil is a liar! He cannot stop what God has ordained for you.
Look at the scripture above again; you will notice that the Bible says “All things…” not some things. In other words, anything is possible because God has the final say concerning you.

You may be at a crossroad right now in life; but the fact remains that God’s word cannot be broken. I know that with men some things are impossible, but nothing is impossible with God. He is not limited. He is still the God of signs, wonders and possibilities and He is able to do exceeding, abundantly, above all that you can ask or think. I challenge you therefore, to stand on that promise in the place of prayers.

The plan of God is that you would function beyond every limitation in life. No matter the pressure, don’t cancel yourself out. Also watch what you say about yourself. Remember that words are powerful. To function in the realm of possibilities, you must learn to speak what you want to see not your fears and doubts. Trust Him completely and before you know it, something beyond your wildest imagination will happen to you. I declare that everything around you will work for your good. Creation will work for you and the ground will yield her increase for you. Compliments of the season.

[12/30, 6:58 AM] faithemm2015: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Matthew 14:28-30 (KJV)
[28] *And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.*
[29] *And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.*
[30] *But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.*

One thing you must never loose is your connection and relationship with God. Every other thing or person in life has an alternative, but there is none to God. Therefore, whenever storms arise or you find yourself under the pressures of life, please stay connected to God.

John 15:5 (KJV)
*I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.*

Our connectivity with God is what makes us to be fruitful and to be an overcomer in life. Challenges of life are temporary when you know how to hold on to God.

2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV)
*While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.*

In every situation, let Christ be your focus. Peter took his eyes off the Lord and he began to sink. If you focus on the storms of life such as marital challenges, health, finance, business etc. you might take a wrong step.

Wait upon the Lord, put your trust and hope in Him. Those who are not patient with God in the journey of life always produce “Ishmaelites”. God cannot be late, He will step in at the right time and beautify your life.

Isaiah 45:22 (KJV)
*Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.*

Let us emulate the likes of Daniel and Joseph.They never allowed the storm and challenges to separate them from their God and both men ended up on the throne.

Those who walk out of God or walk away in anger because of delay or other pressures of life will live in perpetual darkness.

Psalm 16:4 (KJV)
*Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god..*

Hear God’s words of assurance to you this morning.

Isaiah 43:2 (KJV)
*When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.*

Isaiah 49:15 (KJV)
*Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.*

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow.

[12/30, 6:58 AM] faithemm2015: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”
1 Corinthians 9:27

READ: 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (KJV)

24. Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

25. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

26. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air;

27. But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection; lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Anyone who is going to excel according to our Bible reading for today, must be self-disciplined.

Such a person must keep his/her body under. Do not be deceived – greatness is readily available. There is plenty of room at the top; the question is: are you willing to do the work that will qualify you to get there?

Anyone who wants to be prominent, to mount with wings like an eagle cannot be lazy.

Isaiah 40:31 says it is they that wait upon the Lord whose strength will be renewed; they are the ones who will mount with wings as eagles.

Many people are too lazy to pray and they want miracles. When I pray at night, I don’t stay in one place because I know that after a busy day, I would sleep off.

If I am in a place where I cannot go out in the night, I walk up and down the stairs so that I won’t sleep while praying. Many people can’t even fast for three days, yet want to cast out demons.

Jesus said:

“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”
Matthew 17:21

When I got born again, we resumed in church on Sunday morning before the break of day and were there until the evening.

These days, if the service goes beyond 11 a.m., people would already be dreaming of the meals they want to eat after the service. How can the Church take its rightful place if everyone is this lazy?

It takes discipline to excel; even the devil knows it, that is why he keeps bringing several distractions our way and sadly, many of us allow him. If you cannot stay for one hour without peering into your phone, you need to check to be sure that you are not already a victim of the devil.

If a provocatively dressed lady cannot walk past without you turning to get another angle, that is the devil getting you there. If you cannot do without having sex with your spouse in a week, then how can you take out time to consecrate yourself to God? You need self-discipline, if not, you could become an easy target for the enemy.

Comparing how often you eat and sleep with how often you pray, how disciplined would you say you are?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Revelation 19-20

1. Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
Looking unto Jesus,
Who is gone before;
Christ, the Royal Master,
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See His banners go.

Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
Looking unto Jesus,
Who is gone before.

2. At the name of Jesus
Satan’s host doth flee;
On then, Christian soldiers
On to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver
At the shout of praise:
Brothers, lift your voices,
Loud your anthem raise.

Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
Looking unto Jesus,
Who is gone before.

3. Like a mighty army
Moves the Church of God:
Brothers, we are treading
Where the saints have trod.
We are not divided,
All one body we
One in hope and doctrine,
One in charity.

Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
Looking unto Jesus,
Who is gone before.

4. Crowns and thrones may perish,
Kingdom’s rise and wane;
But the Church of Jesus
Constant will remain:
Gates of hell can never
‘Gainst that church prevail;
We have Christ’s own promise
And that cannot fail.

Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
Looking unto Jesus,
Who is gone before.

5. Onward then, ye people,
Join our happy throng;
Blend with ours your voices
In the triumph song:
“Glory, praise and honour,
Unto Christ the King”,
This, through countless ages,
Men and angels sing.

Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
Looking unto Jesus,
Who is gone before.
