[1/4, 5:52 AM] mornday unureri: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
*Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.*

Psalm 11:3 (KJV)
*If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?*

We all need to get a clear definition of our journey into the new year on time, because, the secret or requirement of every successful journey is the clear definition and the route to get there.

If you don’t know where you are going, you might not like where you will end it. The following nuggets will help you to secure His purpose for your life this year:

A. *Strong desire*

Proverbs 18:1 (KJV) *Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.*

Let desire to find His plan and purpose become a need, then you will seperate yourself to seek God’s face concerning it.

B. *Prayer of Enquiry*

Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)
*Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.*

Jeremiah 6:16 (KJV)
*Thus saith the Lord , Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls…*

Ask the Lord to reveal His plan for your life for this year. He has given all His children open opportunity to ask Him questions. Beloved, let your need for purpose cause you to make specific enquiries from the Lord.

Matthew 7:7-8 KJV)
[7] *Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:*
[8] *For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.*

You can table some of these areas to the Lord for direction:
i. Your walking with Him
ii. Your working for Him
iii. Your family life
iv. Human relation
v. Business, career, education etc
He is committed to lead and guide you always.

C. *Spiritual Sensitivity*

Revelation 1:10 (KJV)
*I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,*

Habakkuk 2:1 (KJV)
*I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.*

Spiritual sensitivity involves watchfulness, alertness, quietness. Be expecting God to speak anytime. Also, you must do away with all forms of bitterness, strife and malice so as to pick signal from above.

D. *Joyfulness and Worship*

Isaiah 30:29-30 (KJV)
[29] *Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the Lord , to the mighty One of Israel.*
[30] *And the Lord shall cause his glorious voice to be heard…*

Maintain joyful and worship environment always, because that is where you can easily pick His voice. Though God is everywhere, He does not manifest His presence everywhere.

> Thank you my heavenly Father for the gift and privilege of a new year.

> Thank you my Father for the joy of knowing you.

> Thank you Lord for your good plans for my life.

> Thank you Lord for the multitude of your blessings in my life.

> Thank you Lord for always answering my prayers.

1. Deuteronomy 29:29 (KJV)
*The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.*

O Lord my Father, reveal your plans to me in a way that I will understand in the mighty name of Jesus!

2. Psalm 143:8 (KJV)
*Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.*

O Lord my God, open my ear to pick your voice of instruction and direction in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. 1 Corinthians 9:26 (KJV)
*I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:*

O Lord my God, deliver me from all forms of fruitless efforts in the mighty name of Jesus!

4. Psalms 141:4 (NLT) *Don’t let me lust for evil things; don’t let me participate in acts of wickedness. Don’t let me share in the delicacies of those who do evil.*

O Lord my God, keep my heart, do not let me be attracted to evil things, deeds and ways in the mighty name of Jesus!

5. Psalm 43:3 (KJV)
*O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.*

O Lord my Father, send forth your light, let it lead me into your perfect plans for my life in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Mark 7:34 (KJV)
*And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.*

i. I decree and declare, the doors of greatness are open before me in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. I declare, 2021 usher me into my land of plenty and pleasure in the mighty name of Jesus!

7. Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV)
*And the Lord , he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.*

i. O Lord my Father, let your glorious presence go before me into the new year in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. My Father and my God, my confidence is in you, take me to my prepared place in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow.
*Rejoice evermore.*
*Pray without ceasing.*
1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 (KJV)

*Running to Win the RACE*
*Text*: Heb 12:1-2
_”Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”_

The Christian life is a race that we have been called to run. Indeed, life itself is a race! There is a race which has been set or marked before each and everyone of us. One unique truth about it is that each believer has his or her own race to run. In John 21:22, Jesus replied Peter who had asked about John saying, _“If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”_ In other words, Jesus said to Peter, mind your business and run your own race.

Running to win therefore, you must realise:

*# To win the RACE, you have to lay aside every unnecessary weight #*
The Amplified Bible puts it this way, _”Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us.”_(Heb 12:1)
There are unnecessary weights or encumbrances that entangle and slow us down in the race that we have been called to run. Unless these “spiritual fat” are stripped off or shed off, the Christian race becomes cumbersome and unfruitful.

These unnecessary weights can be classified into two main types; past experiences and anxiety about the future. Past experiences of bitterness, unforgiveness, past ways of life etc are unnecessary weights that will weigh you down. To run this race to the finishing line, the past must be left in the past. Your past only has the potency to slow you down and or stop you only by the power you give to it. 2 Corinth 5:17 says, _”Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”_ Living this Scripture on a daily basis is sine qua non to a life of success in this race.

The second type of unnecessary weights that tend to entangle us is anxiety. Jesus said _”Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”_(Matt 6:34). Worrying about what to eat, what to wear and where to stay has weighed down heavily on so many that their Christian race has become a drag. There is no one who can successfully run the race with “imported” trouble. Each day’s trouble is enough, the Master said. The earlier you realise that you do not have grace for tomo
…n, the better it will be for you. Anxiety for what is yet to come is an unnecessary weight, lay it off.

[1/4, 5:56 AM] : A word for the new year (4)

Monday 4th January 202 hum am

‘A land for which the Lord your God cares… from the beginning of the year to the very end.’ Deuteronomy 11:12 NKJV

This year God will take care of you. Like a good father taking care of a child he loves, God will watch over you, never taking his eye off you. And he will do it ‘from the beginning of the year to the very end’ (Deuteronomy 11:12 NKJV).

Who else can make such a promise – and keep it? Your lawyer and your banker are normally available to you Monday to Friday, if they’re not too busy; otherwise, you can end up playing ‘telephone tag’. And if you get sick, unless you’re in a critical condition, you may end up on a doctor’s waiting list. That’s not how it is with God! He guarantees you around-the-clock care. But you have a part to play as well: ‘If you earnestly obey my commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve him with all your heart and…soul, then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain [provision for all your needs], your new wine [joy and happiness], and your oil [the power and presence of God]. And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock [investments], that you may eat and be filled [blessing and success in your business and career]’ (Deuteronomy 11:13-15 NKJV).

Bottom line: if you walk with God and honour him in all you do, this can be one of the most blessed years of your life.

[1/4, 6:05 AM] *Above Only Daily Devotional*

*By: Archbishop M E Benson Idahosa*

*Be More Conscious of Your Spiritual Location*

*John 1:4-5(NIV), Acts 17:28, Ephesians 2:4-6*

*In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness , and the darkness has not overcome it. *For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. *But God , who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith He loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ , (by grace ye are saved ); And hath raised us up together , and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.*

An ‘unstoppable ‘ mindset is birthed in you once you become conscious of your real spiritual position in Christ . That mindset is precisely what caused David to become bold, even in the face of Goliath. Physically Goliath appeared as a great threat, but David was conscious of his spiritual position. In other words, David was in a position of covenant with God , while Goliath was not. As such , David understood that he already had the advantage and upper hand over Goliath. Do you know what? Because of Jesus, you are in an even better position than David was. You, child of God, maintain the same position that Jesus maintains . God has raised you up to the same position where Christ is in; simply because you are in Christ. You are in Heavenly places. You are with Christ in a position that is far above principalities and powers (Ephesians 1:20-21). God has brought you into the covenant that Jesus made with Him on your behalf, by His death , burial and resurrection.

You are dead and your life is hidden with Christ in God , Colossians 3:3. You live in God right now. God is your natural habitat. God is your source and your sustainer.

In this position , your life is filled with God’s blessings and the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead is alive and at work in your life. You are in a position of God’s favour and have all of God’s fullness which makes you complete, Colossians 2:9-10. There is nothing missing and there is nothing broken in your life. In this position, you have all things. God is on your side and He has freely given you all things together with Christ, Romans 8:31-32. This year, God will not supply all your needs according to the prevalent conditions around you, but according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (your real spiritual location), Philippians 4:19.

*Faith Declaration:*

I live in God and God is my source and sustainer. I am complete . I am in a position of God’s favour. I have dominion over all evil .
