*Unstoppable Fruitfulness by the Almighty God*

_Genesis 17:1-2, Genesis 28:3-4_
_And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God;… And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. *And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a muititude of people; And give thee the blessings of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham._

Whenever God introduces Himself in a particular way, it is because He wants to manifest Himself in that specific way so that we understand and experience a new dimension of His power, character and nature. When God introduced Himself to Abram as the Almighty God in our first text above, that name is actually El-Shaddai and it refers to God’s divine ability for fruitfulness, increase and multiplication. God even changed Abram’s name to Abraham, which means a father of a multitude. God also changed his wife’s name and told him about Isaac who would be birthed by him and Sarah, despite their old age. It sounded so strange that Abraham fell on his face and laughed, Gen.15:15-19. However, in Genesis 21:1-2, the Bible says, “and the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.”

Child of God, this same Almighty God is your God. You shall experience His divine fruitfulness, increase and multiplication in your mind, body, business, career, education, family, finances, ministry and all that pertains to you. Nothing can stop you from being fruitful. Exodus 1:7 says, “And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.” Verse 12 adds, “But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.” Do you understand why nothing could stop the Israelites from multiplying and being mighty? The Almighty God was with them and at work in their lives. This shall be your testimony also.

Prayer Focus:
Worship God and declare that He is EI-Shaddai, the Almighty God. Thank Him for His divine increase and fruitfulness at work in your tife

[7/1, 5:56 AM] 919063: A meeting in the air

Monday 1st July 2019

‘We who are still alive… will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord.’ 1 Thessalonians 4:17 TLB

The Living Bible describes Christ’s return this way: ‘For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a mighty shout and with the soul-stirring cry of the archangel and the great trumpet-call of God. And the believers who are dead will be the first to rise to meet the Lord. Then we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with this news’ (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 TLB).

The second coming of Christ will be inaugurated by the trumpet blast of the archangel. Cemeteries and seas will give up their dead. ‘Christ…will appear a second time…to save those who are eagerly waiting for him’ (Hebrews 9:28 ESV). The event will be witnessed by all humanity. ‘Every eye will see him’ (Revelation 1:7 NKJV). From Adam to the baby born as the trumpet sounds, every one of us will witness the moment. But not everyone will welcome it: ‘The signal of my coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning all around the earth’ (Matthew 24:30TLB).

You don’t go to Heaven by chance, you go by choice. And God will honour your choice. Those who acknowledge Christ as their Saviour will arise to celebrate the greatest family reunion of all time. Are you going to Heaven? If you’re not sure, don’t let this day end until you put your trust in Christ and accept him as your Lord and Saviour.

The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
-Proverbs 14:14

*Bible Reading: Daniel 4:28-33*
28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar.

29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.

30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

31 While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.

32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.

The spiritual regeneration experience can either be positive or negative. The type that Jesus recommended to Nicodemus in John 3:3-5 is the positive kind. Describing it, the Holy Spirit says in 2 Corinthians 5:17:

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

However, there is also the negative kind of rebirth. When a person who was filled with good works turns around and begin to behave badly, such a person is manifesting the symptoms of negative rebirth. The Bible refers to this as backsliding. According to today’s memory verse, a “backsliding”. According to today’s memory verse, a backslider begins to behave abnormally, exalting personal satisfaction above God’s will.

King Nebuchadnezzar’s transformation in today’s Bible reading demonstrates what negative rebirth is all about. In the twinkling of an eye, he changed from a royal majesty to an animal, to the extent that he began to graze like cattle! When a child of God suddenly develops the appetite for alcohol, cigarettes, pornography or extramarital affairs, he or she has experienced a negative rebirth. Don’t be surprised therefore when you see holiness preachers of yesteryear beginning to say that holiness is an illusion-they have undergone a negative rebirth. Are you in a backslidden state? My prayer for you is that the Almighty God will restore you, and every satanic appetite for sin shall vanish from your life in Jesus’ Name.

Why did Nebuchadnezzar experience negative rebirth? The answer lies in Daniel 4:27- he refused to take heed when God’s prophet warned him to turn from his wicked ways. It is amazing that in spite of the miracles that Nebuchadnezzar experienced, including seeing the Son of God walking around in the fiery furnace, he continued to be arrogant before God of heaven (Daniel 3:22-25). In like manner, is it not surprising that in spite of reality of HIV/AIDS, some people still practice prostitution and have several people patronizing them? It is more disheartening when one sees Christians or ministers of God for that matter going back to their old vomit and engaging in sexual immorality and fraudulent practices. Are you one of such people? God is saying to you today in Ezekiel 18:31:

“Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?”

It is time for you to repent so that times of refreshing can be poured over your life (Acts 3:19).

Examine your life today to see where you need positive rebirth through genuine repentance. If the Lord is speaking to you on this matter, go ahead and repent without further delay.

Deuteronomy 7-8
Ezekiel 8:7-18

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.

Freedom from Captivity
by Heather Tietz

The Lord GOD’s Spirit is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and release to those who are bound.

Isaiah 61:1
Freedom is a gift from God.

Likewise, when God’s people have rebelled against Him, captivity has been His discipline. The prophet Isaiah wrote these words of freedom to encourage God’s people who were under siege by the Assyrians. One day, he promised, their captivity would be over. One day their repentant hearts would bring back freedom. In 681 BC, it did.

700 years later Jesus spoke these same words. In Luke 4, Jesus was invited to read the daily scripture in the synagogue. He opened to this very passage and after reading, closed the scroll and declared, “This day the scripture is fulfilled.”

How could that be? Isaiah had delivered this encouragement hundreds of years before. This prophecy, spoken for the captive Jews, also contained words for a captive world. “God has sent Me, “Jesus was saying, “to deliver all from the chains of sin.”

Jesus gives that same offer to us. Repentance leads to God’s forgiveness and God’s forgiveness leads us to freedom. Whatever it is that holds us captive – bills, time, homework, physical limits, jobs – Jesus can free our hearts.

We can have peace too, as we trust God to free us from those things that chain us.

Father God,
I give You the things of this world that hold me captive.
I trust You to take care of the details.
Please anoint me with Your Spirit and give me peace.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

[7/1, 6:24 AM] 919063: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Monday, 1st July, 2019

“Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head. They shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.”
Isaiah 51:11 KJV

Beloved, we have a returning grace. That is the mentality God wants you to put on. Do you know that you matter to God? The scripture says, “For God so loved the world…” There is no adjective to adequately qualify the love. There is no Greek language to explain the magnitude of the love. That’s why the bible says He so loved the world. Because you are so loved by God, you have an assurance that there is always a returning grace for you. There is nothing like fatal failure for you. I don’t care where you are now or what they have called you. You are bouncing back!

Your situation cannot be worse than Jacob’s. Jacob ran away from home to Laban’s house where he was cheated several times. Despite his labour, they kept on cheating him. When they should have given him what belonged to him, they gave him a substitute. Eventually, he decided to go back and God was merciful to him because of the prophetic hand over his life. But then, he was afraid of his brother Esau. When he came to Jabbok, he had to release everything and had only God to hold on to. Eventually God made his brother Esau to be favourably disposed to him. That is how God will cause people to be favourably disposed to you and do for you unimaginable things in righteousness.

There is a returning grace for every child of God. You are not going to end a disaster; rather, you will be celebrated. Don’t bother about what the devil is doing. The devil would do his job. But God alone has the final say. The scripture says, ‘they shall surely gather…’ The devil must do his job; his assignment is to gather them. But the Bible says, ‘they shall scatter for our sake.’
