[3/10, 6:45 AM] Jesus The Fruitful Vine: Show your wife you love her (3)

Tuesday 10th March 2020

‘Rejoice with the wife of your youth.’ Proverbs 5:18 NKJV

The Bible says, ‘Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ…loved the church’ (Ephesians 5:25 NKJV), so let’s take another look at how Christ loved the founders of the church, his twelve disciples.

He recognised their gifts. He rejoiced in their successes. He supported and encouraged them to grow to their full potential. Are you willing to do that? When you truly love someone, you won’t try to hold them back or seek to control them because of your insecurities. You’ll recognise their gifting, help them become everything God called them to be, release them, and celebrate their successes. And should their light shine brighter than yours, become their biggest cheerleader. If this wasn’t modelled in your family of origin, chances are, you’ll have to work at it. And if you had an unfaithful partner in a previous relationship, you may need to ask God to heal your heart and give you a new level of trust. Building this kind of relationship calls for a level of humility and honesty you’re probably not used to. It may require overcoming your male ego, admitting your fears, and saying to your wife, ‘I love you and I really want to trust you. Will you please help me?’ Until you get through this stage and feel more secure about your relationship, a marriage partner who truly loves you will go the extra mile when it comes to telling you where they’ve been and who they spent time with during the day.

The truth is, sometimes you have to fight for your marriage – but it’s worth it, because in the end, you both win!

[3/10, 6:45 AM] Jesus The Fruitful Vine: *Above Only Devotional*

*The Great Rank of the Name of Jesus*

_Philippians 2:8-11, Romans 14:9 (NLT)_
_And being found in fashion as a man he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that ever tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. *Christ died and rose again for this very purpose-to be Lord both of the living and of the dead._

It is a very great error to ever attempt to compare the power and authority of Jesus to that of any other person, power or thing. The rank of Jesus far exceeds that of every other power, being or force in the entire universe. To start with, all things were made by Him, (John 1:3 & Heb. 1:2). We must also be conscious of all that happened as a result of Jesus’ death on the Cross and His burial and resurrection for us (His redemptive work). By His redemptive work, Jesus spoiled principalities and powers, he made an open show of them and He triumphed over them, Col. 2:15. He destroyed the power the devil had over you (Heb. 2:14) and God the Father highly exalted Him. In Revelation 1:18 Jesus said “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death”. All power belongs to Him, Matt. 28:19. He is the Lord of lords and the King of kings, Rev. 17:14. Jesus is not just above the devil and all his demons, He is far above them, Eph. 1:19-21.

It is sad that some believers are more conscious of the rank of the devil and his demons than they are of the rank and authority of Jesus. There are many people who are called by the Greek name ‘Jesus’, but we are talking about The JESUS that was crucified and rose up again from the dead, 1Cor.2:2. Jesus the Christ. It is Him that we preach and have put our faith in. He is different and stands out in rank from them all. The Bible does not say at the ‘mention’ of the Name of Jesus every knee should bow. The Bible says at the Name of Jesus. The word ‘at’ refers to a rank. At the Name of Jesus means ‘in the authority of Jesus’. Our consciousness of the rank of the Name of Jesus will affect our faith in Him, our worship of Him and our representing Him.

Prayer Focus: I honour and worship you Lord Jesus for your Name is higher than every other Name. You are King of kings and Lord of lords indeed.

[3/10, 6:46 AM] Jesus The Fruitful Vine: Today’s SOD – 2020-03-10

SCRIPTURE: Know therefore that the Lord thy God,”he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; Deuteronomy 7″:9

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God is faithful to His promises and committed to His covenant.

It is clear from Scriptures that our God is a covenant-keeping God (Deuteronomy 7:9).

God is faithful to His promises and committed to His covenant (Psalms 89:34-36). God does not only keep covenant with His immediate covenant partners but also with their succeeding generations. Your covenant with God does not only end with you; it continues with your generation. That is the mystery of Israel today; the covenant of God with Abraham,”Isaac and Jacob implicated them for generational blessings. Covenant has the power to stand the test of times and seasons.

Now, how do you experience the benefits of the covenant?

1. Understand the reliability of the covenant (Deuteronomy 7″:9).

Understand the infallibility,”unchangeability or trustability of the covenant-keeping God. The covenant is reliable and the Covenant-Keeper is infallible. God cannot lie. He cannot change, and He cannot fail.

2. Understand your role in the covenant and play that role to the best of your ability (Deuteronomy 7″:9).

If you are expecting the covenant of supernatural supply for example,”to be real in your life, then you must play the role of a giver in tithes, offerings and other forms of giving. You must refuse to be a borrower; you must also refuse to be a waster of resources. Also, if you want God to fulfil His part in defending you, your role is to refuse to fear; decide to speak positively and stay in the secret place of the Almighty.

3. Stay at it for as long as it takes to see the desired result (Deuteronomy 7″:9).

Keep doing everything that is expected of you by God for as long as it takes to see desired results. And if you do this,”the devil cannot stop you from seeing what God wants you to see.

Today, I decree that the faithfulness of God will be real in your life, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS”: God is faithful to His promises and committed to His covenant.

1. Study the Scriptures and listen to the relevant messages until it is clear to you that the covenant is real and reliable.

2. From the Scripture,”identify the covenant of God for your life and the responsibilities attached and begin to work them until they manifest in your life

PRAYER”: Lord,”thank You for keeping Your covenant always. Help me to do the responsibilities of the covenant, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
