SCRIPTURE: What is man,”that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Psalm 8″:4-5

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When the Name of God is mentioned,”it is identified with excellence.

Eminence is the state of being famous, respected or important. It is fame or acknowledged superiority within a particular sphere of human endeavour. Eminence is synonymous with distinction, renown, notability, greatness, prestige, importance, repute, etc.

Man was created by God to exist in eminence or greatness. Man was created by God as king of creation, crowned with glory and honour, not shame and reproach. You were created to dominate creation and not to be dominated.

Eminence is God’s agenda for man. However, for every scriptural provision, there is a corresponding condition. The condition or requirement for eminence is called EXCELLENCE. Excellence is the quality of being outstanding or extremely good at what one does. It is being truly the best at something.

Excellence is the sponsor of eminence. If you desire to be great or eminent in life, then you are required to release excellence in what you do. The force that God uses to take His people up is called the force of excellence.  The force of excellence is the force that produces eminence and prominence in life.

Indeed, our God is a God of excellence. Now, let us look at facts about the excellence of God”:

1. God has an identity of excellence (Psalm 148:13). When the Name of God is mentioned,”it is identified with excellence. Identifying with God is identifying with excellence. You cannot claim to have an identity with God and be a mediocre personality.

2. God is excellent in working (Isaiah 28″:29). He does not work in mediocrity or inferiority. Connection to God equals manifestation of excellence. An excellent God can only give birth to excellent children.

3. God has excellent greatness (Psalm 150:2). The greatness of God is sponsored by His excellence.

Beloved,”excellence is your birth-right as a child of God. You don’t need to struggle to manifest excellence. When your excellence level increases, your leadership level also increases. The level you are now is the level your excellence has qualified you for. Decide today to excel in whatever you do so you can exist as an eminent and prominent personality to the glory of God.

REMEMBER THIS”: When the Name of God is mentioned,”it is identified with excellence.

1. Demand for the impartation of the Spirit of excellence at the place of prayer.

2. Do not be stagnant; look for new ways to improve on your assignment.

3. Endeavour to do your assignments excellently.

PRAYER: O Lord,”I ask that You impact me with the Spirit of Excellence and wisdom. I refuse any mediocre lifestyle, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

“And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD, and great shall be the peace of thy children.”
Isaiah 54:13 (KJV)

One of the things that create great concern for parents, particularly young parents and grandparents is how the children will turn out when they leave home. The level of peer pressure is mind-boggling. Children at a very tender age are exposed to a level of vices that we never conceived when we were growing up. On a daily basis, the minds of children are bombarded with negative vibes from the media. The good news is that God has gone ahead of us. Like I always say, the God you serve does not react. He is not a step ahead of the devil. He is light years ahead. The devil is His creation and there is nothing he can do to outwit God.

Thousands of years ago, God, speaking through Prophet Isaiah said: “All thy children shall be taught of the LORD …” How comforting? When God takes on the task of training your children, what better teacher can they ever have? I encourage every parent, grandparent or parent to be to constantly commit the children to Him who has promised to train them and watch them turn out proper, well-brought-up children that you will be proud of.

However, this does not absolve you of your responsibility. You have the responsibility to live right before them. You have the responsibility to show them the way of the Lord. You have the responsibility to pray for them daily. You have the responsibility to declare the Word of God over them daily and be rest assured that God will exceed your expectation.

I pray for you today that your children will bring you joy. They will be worthy ambassadors that you will be proud of. They will excel in every area of life. Amongst their peers, the grace of God will highlight them and make them outstanding. They are the seed of the righteous, they shall be mighty upon the earth. The children that the Lord has given to us are for signs and wonders and so shall it be in Jesus’ name.

‘Accept other believers who are weak in faith.’ Romans 14:1 NLT

During the first century cities like Rome attracted people of many cultures, languages, religions and customs. Consequently, the early church’s mission to ‘make disciples of all the nations’ sometimes led to conflict and confusion. For example, some believers continued to observe a seventh-day Sabbath, while others who didn’t eat meat wanted to remain vegetarians. It’s why Paul wrote, ‘Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue…about what they think is right or wrong’ (Romans 14:1 NLT). Note, he didn’t tell us to just put up with them, but to ‘accept’, welcome, receive, acknowledge, and make allowance for those who aren’t carbon copies of us.

Even though the issues we …

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and he hath set the world upon them.
1 Samuel 2:8

Bible Reading: Genesis 41:39-46
39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

45 And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

As observed by the Preacher in Ecclesiastes 1:9, some life events are capable of repeating themselves in history. One of these is the rags-to-riches story described in today’s Bible reading. Joseph had been sold into slavery in Egypt by his brothers, and as if that was not enough, he was also framed and cast into prison, where he remained for some years until God’s favor rose over his destiny and took him to the throne as second-in-command of the largest empire on earth, even though he was a stranger there. The familiar story has some hidden lessons we can learn. First of all, God will do whatever He has purposed in His heart to do, regardless of any obstacles on the way. Although Joseph was destined to be great, his brothers thought they could abort God’s plan for his life by selling him into slavery. They could never have imagined that they were actually sending him to the place where his dreams of greatness would be fulfilled. Likewise, when Potiphar’s wife framed him, little did she know she was only acting as an instrument to bring about the fulfilment of God’s plan for him. In fact, Pharaoh’s butler could have been reinstated without him dreaming about it. God however made him dream about it so that Joseph could be known, and his gift of interpreting dreams could be used to save lives (Genesis 50:18-20).

Beloved, are you passing through the furnace of envy and jealousy of those you consider to be your bret
