*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*

*OVERCOMING ADVERSARIES’ STRATEGIES.*
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV)
*And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.*
God is interested in your three components during prayer and worship: that is when your body is in church or any other place of worship and prayer, your other component (soul) mind and head should equally be there. The devil always likes to cause division within your components. He wants part of you to be in God’s presence and other parts wandering on issues of life.
Luke 11:17 (KJV)
*But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.*
This is one of the reasons why many prayers are not answered and many people are not blessed and growing up spiritually. Beloved, whenever you come before the Lord, let the totality of your being be with Him. That is what is called “the effectual fervent prayer” which will always avail much. *James 5:16*
The devil takes advantage of your wandering heart during prayers and church service. When you have overcome this, he changes his strategy, he makes your head to be intellectual so you will criticise the preaching and teaching. He helps you to find fault in the sermon. At times, he tells you it is too long. Receive grace to completely submit yourself to the lordship of Christ in the mighty name of Jesus!
Romans 12:11 (KJV)
*Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;*
You know your adversary has no right to rest, he moves to and fro. Even when you have overcome his other tricks and you are now spiritual, the devil still won’t let you be, he wants you to think that you are more spiritual than everyone including the preacher or writer if you are reading anointed books and messages. He is technically releasing pride into your soul. He makes you to become unteachable and as you know, God resists the proud anyday, anytime.
1 Peter 5:5 (KJV)
*…for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.*
I see you overcome all the tricks of the devil in the mighty name of Jesus!
> Thank you my Lord for the gift of life and joy of seeing a brand new day.
>Thank you my Father for your mercies and loving kindness towards me and my family.
>Thank you my Lord for the good health, good family, friends and relations.
> Thank you for protection and provision.

*Shew me thy ways, O Lord ; teach me thy paths.*
O Lord my Father, show me your way and teach me your path so that I will not err in the mighty name of Jesus!
4. Psalm 86:11 (KJV)
*Teach me thy way, O Lord ; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.*
O Lord unite my heart with your Spirit and let not my heart be wandering in the place of prayer in the mighty name of Jesus!

*Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.*

7. Isaiah 54:12 (KJV)
*And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.*
O Lord my Father, arise and fulfil all your good promises in my life and family in the mighty name of Jesus!
8. Psalm 112:4 (KJV)
*Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.*
O Lord my God, cause your light to shine into my family, ministry, career, business, marriage in the mighty name of Jesus!
9. Psalm 89:4 (KJV)
*Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.*
O Lord my God, establish my children before you forever in Jesus mighty name!
10. Hebrews 10:9 (KJV)

O Lord my God, open your hands and satisfy my heart desire in the mighty name of Jesus!
12. Isaiah 45:3 (KJV)
*And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord , which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.*
O Lord my God, grant me access to hidden riches to advance your kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus!
Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.
Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!
See you tomorrow,
*Pray without ceasing.*

THEME: SHOW ME YOUR FRIENDS.
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 1 Corinthians 15:33
READ: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
There is a popular adage that says “show me your friend and I will tell you who you are.” This saying is very true. No matter how spiritual you are, 1 Corinthians 15:33 says that “Evil communication corrupt good manners.” There are certain friends who would pull you back and there are others who would help you grow spiritually and in other areas of life. Choose your friends wisely. Before I became born again, I had friends with whom I regularly drank alcoholic wines. Then, I met Christ and my lifestyle changed. When my friends visited, I served them non-alcoholic drinks, and before long, they realized that things were different, and withdrew from me. It was painful to lose my friends then, but I let them go because I didn’t want them to drag me back to the world. Today, God has replaced those friends with a lot of brothers and sisters all over the world. I have made new friends who helped me in my walk with God. It is this kind of friends that you should have too- friends who will draw you closer to God, challenge you to pursue your dreams, pray with you when you are down and whose positive impact on your life will be evident to all. I must warn you that such friends are not many, but even if it is only one of such you can find, he or she is better than a hundred others who would pull you down.
Jesus is the best friend that any man can have. He said in John 15:15 that:
“…I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”
Jesus’ friendship should be your standard, if you cannot see through a person’s lifestyle that they have a relationship with Jesus, then they should not be your friend. While Matthew 22:39 says that we should love our neighbors as ourselves, we are only to have a few true friends. Jesus loved everyone when He was on earth, but He kept His inner circle small. Don’t hate those you cannot be friends with. You must love them; just don’t share intimate things with them. Set clear boundaries.
Remember, iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).
Are your current friends drawing you closer to God or far from Him?

HYMN 5: DEEPER, DEEPER IN THE LOVE OF JESUS.
1. Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus
Daily let me go;
Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,
More of grace to know.
Oh, deeper yet, I pray,
And higher every day,
And wiser, blessed Lord,
In Thy precious, holy Word.
2. Deeper, deeper, blessed Holy Spirit,
Take me deeper still,
Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,
And His perfect will.
3. Deeper, deeper! though it cost hard trials,
Deeper let me go!
Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,
Let me fruitful grow.
4. Deeper, higher, every day in Jesus,
Till all conflict past,
Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image
Perfected at last.
5. Deeper, deeper in the faith of Jesus,
Holy faith and true;
In His pow’r and soul exulting wisdom
Let me peace pursue.

*TOPIC: UPRIGHTNESS – ELIMINATING THE GRAVITATIONAL PULL OF INIQUITY*
SCRIPTURE: For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Romans 3:23 (NLT)
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Iniquity has the capacity to pull down. It is a weight that grounds a person.
In our previous studies, we discovered that uprightness of character is a lifter of people. Uprightness makes people dwell in the sphere where God dwells, that is, the high places of the earth (Psalm 15:1-2). It is uprightness of life that lifted Abraham, Joseph and Daniel, and positioned them in the realm of relevance in their generation.
Today, we shall look at another profit of uprightness:
Uprightness of character eliminates the gravitational pull of iniquity.
Iniquity carries a gravitational pull; iniquity is a spiritual gravitational force. Iniquity is a weight. This is why the Scripture admonishes us in Hebrews 12:1 that we should lay aside every weight. Weight is a function of gravity. Iniquity has the capacity to pull people down. It is a weight that grounds a person. Weight is like a heavy stone that can crush a person. When a heavy stone is thrown up, do you expect it to remain up? No. It must land. In the same way, iniquity is a weight that pulls a person down.
Romans 3:23 says, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The New Living Translation renders it thus: For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. So, sin makes people fall. This is why it is usually said that when people sin, they fall into; to sin is to fall.
Now, what made Vashti, the queen of the Persian Empire, to fall was sin. She was right up as the first lady of an empire that covered one hundred and twenty provinces, stretching from Ethiopia to India, but she fell by the twin sin of rebellion and arrogance. Her husband, the King, asked her to come and show up her beauty to some royal guests at the King’s banquet, but she refused (Esther 1:10-12). That was how Queen Vashti crashed by the gravitational pull of iniquity.
Iniquity was also responsible for the crash of Lucifer. Isaiah 14:12 says, How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Samson also fell from grace to grass by the gravitational pull of iniquity (Judges 16:20-21). But when you walk in uprightness, that gravitational pull is eliminated.
Beloved, refuse to be pulled down in life by sin. Avoid the lifestyle of iniquity that pulls people down in life.
Remember This: Iniquity has the capacity to pull down. It is a weight that grounds a person.
1. Make up your mind to avoid the lifestyle of iniquity and compromise.
2. Ask God for the grace to live uprightly.
PRAYER: 🙏👸🤴 Lord, deliver me from evil and every trap of iniquity. I ask for the grace to live uprightly always, Lord in Jesus Name.

*Wisdom for Preparation 2*
_2 Timothy 2:15, Isaiah 54:2-3, 1 Corinthians 9:25 GNB)_
_Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. *Enlarge the place of thy tent, and stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; *Every athlete in training submits to strict discipline, in order to be crowned with a wreath that will not last; but we do it for one that will last forever._
Despite how tasking it may be, there are so many blessings and advantages of adequate preparation and training. The word for study in our first text above is ‘spoudazo’ and it means to use speed, to make effort, to be prompt, earnest and diligent. It takes a lot of diligence and patience to prepare adequately and in the long run, adequate preparation will help you avoid being put to shame or missing out on certain opportunities. Adequate preparation may take a lot of time and effort but in the long run, it will help you prevent wastage of time. You will hit the ground running and maximize time in whatever you are doing.
Give your best to every preparation you are making. Go all out and do not hold back in any way. Do not lose sight of the great progress, impact and fruitfulness you are going to experience.
It is also very important to wholeheartedly submit yourself to those that God has placed over you to prepare you for the things He wants to bring you into. When King Ahaserus of Shushan was about to choose a new queen, the ladies he was to choose from were made to go through a 12 month preparation process. Now, all these ladies had the privilege of getting whatever they wanted; to make them look good before the king. The Bible says Esther only took what Hegai (the leader of the women in the palace) asked her to take. The result of this was that she found favour before everyone that saw her including the king, and the king eventually chose her, Esth. 2:12-18. Rebekah helped Jacob to know about an opportunity he might never have known about and she also helped him to prepare adequater for it, Gen. 27:5-8.
Prayer Focus: Ask God to help you give your best to every preparation and training you are getting and to help you submit to those He has put over you.Share On:
