[8/6, 7:33 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Romans 15:30-31 (KJV)
[30] *Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;*
[31] *That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;*

2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 (KJV)
[1] *Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:*
[2] *And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.*

It is time we arise and save our leaders. The assignments God committed into their hands are so much and sensitive that they require our prayers to succeed. Our intercession can make a whole lot of difference in their lives and ministries.

James 5:16 (KJV)
*…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.*

Many Pastors have been limited, manipulated, fallen, even killed just because we left them without praying for them. King Herod arrested and killed Apostle James just because no one interceded on his behalf, but when he arrested Peter, the Church took up spiritual responsibility and Peter was miraculously released through angelic assistance. See *Acts 12:1-7.*

When Aaron and Hur observed that Moses was getting tired, they had to partner with him. As long as his hand was up, victory was recorded. The same is expected of us today. I humbly request that we turn all our complaint to prayer points for our Pastors. Don’t forget they are human; they are not perfect. Sometimes they have challenges, they have flaws just like you and me. “Man of God” — he is a man before he can be of God. See Exodus 17:11-17.

In addition, the lives and destinies of the members of the congregation are largely dependent on the spiritual character and health of the pastor. A spiritually dead pastor will give a dead message and a dead message kills. Therefore, let us help to keep our pastors spiritually healthy by interceding for them continually.

The following key areas can be considered when praying for your pastors.

A. *His Spiritual Needs*

Grace to be spending quality time with God via study, meditating and praying. Also, pray for anointing, integrity, sincerity and protection from satanic assault.

B. *Family Needs*

Provision for his family, to prioritize his family, God’s protection over his family and that all members of his family will serve the living God.

C. *Personal Needs.*

That God should fill him with the gift of the Spirit, fruits of the Spirit and ministry gift.

D. *Congregational Needs.*

Grace for soul winning; mobilizing the brethren for kingdom enlargement; his meetings will be characterised with signs and wonders.

Finally, interceding for your pastors will activate God’s honour upon your life.

Proverbs 27:18 (KJV)
*Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.*

> Thank you my Lord for the gift of life and another beautiful day.

> Thank you for your faithfulness and loving kindness towards me and my household.

> Thank you Lord for supernatural supply.

1. Jeremiah 3:15 (KJV)
*And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.*

i. Thank you my Father for the gift of your servant to my life.

ii. I receive his ministry into my life with thanksgiving in the mighty name of Jesus!

2. 2 Thessalonians 3:2 (KJV)

O Lord our God, defend your servant *(insert name)* from wickedness of men and the devil in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. Colossians 4:3 (KJV)
*Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:*

ii. O Lord my God, continually grant my pastor access to kingdom mysteries in the mighty name of Jesus!

5. Hebrews 13:18 (KJV)
*Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.*

O Lord my God, grant my pastor and all Christian leaders grace to live a life of purity, honesty and pure conscience in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Ecclesiastes 12:9 (KJV)
*And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.*

O Lord my God, grant my pastor and all our leaders wisdom and grace to carry out their divine assignment faithfully in the mighty name of Jesus!

7. Ecclesiastes 12:10 (KJV)
*The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.*

O Lord my Father, grant him or her and all our leaders the tongue of the learned so that they will know how to speak right words in season in the mighty name of Jesus!

8. Philippians 4:18 (KJV)
*But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.*

11. Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
*And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord , choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord .*

O Lord my Father, I pray that all his children will know and serve you to the end in the mighty name of Jesus!

12. Acts 21:8-9 (KJV)
[8] *… Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.*
[9] *And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.*

O Lord, grant him grace that purity and sound morals will be the way of life of his children in the mighty name of Jesus!

13. 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
*I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:*

O Lord, grant my pastor grace to finish well and strong in the mighty name of Jesus!

14. Proverbs 27:18 (KJV) *Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.*

O Lord my God, remember me for all the seed of prayers sown into the life of your servant in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow.
*Rejoice evermore.*
*Pray without ceasing.*

[8/6, 7:33 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Revelation 3:16 “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

READ: Revelation 3:2-6
3:2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. 3:6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

There are three possibilities with your fire. It could be burning bright, burning low or completely out. If the fire is burning bright, be careful. 1 Peter 5:8 says:

”Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

1 Corinthians 10: 12 says:

“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.”

When fire is burning bright, demons take note of it and are watching closely. Since they cannot touch the fire, they await a time when it will burn out, so they can pounce on the fellow. Make sure you stay connected to God (John 15:5).

If the fire is burning low – you still go to Church, still look and talk like a Christian, but inside, you know you are not as close to God as you used to be, that is being lukewarm. Being lukewarm is dangerous (Revelation 3:15-16). Revelation 2:5 is a great warning:

“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

Cry to God for a fresh baptism of fire if you have become lukewarm.

On the other hand, if your fire Is completely out – if you have gone back to the filth of your past and are now doing those things which are completely against the word of God, know that though you have drifted far, God has not rejected you. The fact that you are still alive means He is still interested In having you back. Ezekiel 37:1-10 makes it clear that dry bones can live again. In John 21:15-19, Peter missed it by going back to being a fisherman, but Jesus came to meet him there and restored his destiny. Peter’s repentance was genuine; he wept bitterly and was restored. You too can be restored if you cry genuinely to God.

May your fire always burn bright and never go out in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, please help my fire burn bright always and never go down, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Jeremiah 1-3

1.Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
Ye soldiers of the Cross!
Lift high His royal banner;
It must not suffer loss.
From vict’ry unto vict’ry
His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished,
And Christ is Lord indeed.

2. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
The trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conllict,
In this His glorious day.
Ye that are men, now serve Him
Against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger,
And strength to strength oppose.

3. Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you,
Ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armour;
And watching unto prayer;
Where duty calls, or danger,
Be never wanting there.

4. Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor’s song;
To him that overcometh,
A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of glory
Shall reign eternally.

*Text: “Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence.” Ps 91:3*

Good News! I say Good News! You need to put on a shout of victory today. You are delivered already. God is not about to do it. He has done it. He did it on the cross through the sacrifice of Christ. Today as believers we look at our lives purely from the perspective of what Christ did on our behalf. We are delivered already from whatever the devil can ever put together against us. Colossians 1:13 Says “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness…”
This is not something God is planning to do but what he has done already. All it requires is for us to begin to walk in the reality of it.

A snare is a deliberate device that is put in place to capture an animal. The purpose of a snare is usually not to preserve the life of the prey but to destroy it. A snare is synonymous with destruction. Destruction is one of the three missions of the devil. “The thief cometh not but to steal, and to kill, and to DESTROY…” John 10:10. Jesus came to deliver us from all that. Now we can walk as free men and women to accomplish the purpose and plans of God for our lives.

Each one of us must take a stand of faith in the liberty wherein Christ has made us free. We must refuse to be held down. It’s a stand of faith.
Not only are we delivered from the snare; the snare is also broken. It does not have the capacity to hold you back again. It has lost its ability over your life. Whatever the snare may represent around your life has no more power over you. David prophetically declared “…The snare is broken, and we are escaped.” (Ps 124:7). I speak over your life today that whatever has held you down losses its power over you today in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against you will prosper. Walk in victory and dominion.

I am delivered from every snare. Nothing is holding me down. I’m free to fulfil purpose.

[8/6, 7:34 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *SEEDS OF DESTINY*
6th AUGUST, 2020

SCRIPTURE: Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear: Romans 11:20.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There are people who will despise you today when you preach to them just like they despised Noah when he was building the ark.

In our previous studies, we looked at some signs of the end time. We saw that the end time is characterised by the abundance of iniquity and the deficiency of passion for God.

Now, another sign of the end time is the abundance of unbelief. Unbelief makes people not to take God or His Word seriously. When people don’t take God seriously or believe His Word, it is a glaring sign of the end time.

Scornfulness is one way through which unbelief is expressed. Psalm 1:1 says, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

This means, many people will not believe that God means business with His Word. They will not believe that the righteous God can create a terrible hell for unrepentant mankind. They believe that there is no place called hell fire, and so it is not possible to be cast into hell. In fact, they will laugh at or make mockery of the message about heaven and hell. They will not believe that the world will someday come to an end or that the end is near. Even some preachers of the gospel are not spared by this plague of unbelief. It is unfortunate that some preachers preach that God will not send anybody to hell. They even tell people that “The question of heaven and hell” is an out-dated theology. Maybe they have forgotten how God rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah because of iniquity (Gen. 19:24). They ignored how the flood wiped out the human race because of wickedness in the days of Noah (Genesis 7:17-24).

There are people who will despise you today when you preach to them just like they despised Noah when he was building the ark (Matthew 24:36-39). There are people who call genuine and sincere Christians out-dated people. They mock you when you tell them about the end time.

If you are in doubt about the existence of heaven and hell, think about these questions: what would you lose if you lived in the consciousness of heaven and hell? And what would you lose if by the time you died, you discovered there was no heaven and hell? Nothing! But what if you lived without the consciousness of heaven and hell and discovered after death that there was hell? It would be an eternal loss; it would be too late to amend your ways at that time.

So, the abundance of unbelief is a sign of the end time. My counsel is, keep on believing and following God. Refuse to doubt God and His Word.

Remember this: There are people who will despise you today when you preach to them just like they despised Noah when he was building the ark.

1. Refuse to be influenced by the company of the scornful or people who don’t take God and His Word seriously.

2. Don’t fall into the temptation of doubting God and His Word.

3. Take the Word of God seriously: believe it, confess it; ask God to help your faith in Him and in His Word.

PRAYER: 🙏👸🤴 O Lord, I refuse to be influenced by those who doubt Your Word. I believe Your Word and promises for my life. Increase my faith in You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: I will like you to understand that the strength of your faith in God determines the security of your destiny. When your faith is weak, your destiny is not secured. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Jeremiah 1-3

AMAZING FACT: Tigers have striped skin as well. Each pattern is as unique as a fingerprint.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Grace to avoid the company of the scornful and doubtful is released on you in Jesus’ Name.
