*Text: “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat…Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:17-18*

Life is a process. Nothing actually appears in life in a finished state. God usually starts us out in a raw state. Knowing how God operates and how life functions will give us a lot of rest in life.

Gratitude is a major requirement in taking our “raw state” to a finished product. Gratitude is acknowledging God in the midst of contrary situation. Gratitude is celebrating God where you are on the way to where you are going. Gratitude is the attitude of appreciating God for the present while we look forward to the future.

The direct opposite to gratitude is murmuring and complaining. It’s an attitude that never sees what God is doing. It’s an attitude that is always seeing lack and insufficiency. Complaining and murmuring is actually an expression of pride and impatience. Complaining and murmuring are subtle ways of saying:
1. God you are too slow for my liking.
2. God it seems the situation is beyond you.
3. God I can handle things on my own
It’s so important that we all develop a heart of gratitude. Gratitude is first of all a disposition of the heart. Gratitude comes from a heart that is humble. Gratitude is a function of a heart that is surrendered to God. Let’s look at few truths that will help us to have a heart of gratitude always:

1) God is committed to our lives even when we don’t ‘feel’ him or see him. Heb 13:8

2) Life is in seasons and there is no season that lasts forever. Prov 30:5

3) As long as we are alive and joined to the living God there is hope for us. Ecc 9:4-6

4) God has the final say over our lives and his counsel will stand over our lives. Isa 46:10

Father thank you for working for us, with us and on us. Thank you because your counsels will prevail over us.

[8/30, 6:28 AM] Faith Oshevire: RHAPSODY OF REALITIES,

He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3:25).

In Daniel chapter three, we find the story of King Nebuchadnezzar; his image of gold, and the decree that everyone worship it. When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego wouldn’t bow to this golden image, he threatened to throw them into a burning furnace. But the three Hebrew boys were unmoved. They believed only in the God of Israel and wouldn’t give up their faith.

“We won’t bow to your god,” they told the king. “You may set up your fire; do what you have to do!” Their courage and doggedness made the King furious; so he commanded that the fire be made seven times hotter. “Our God is able to rescue us from the fire. But even if He doesn’t, we still won’t bow,” they added.

“All right then,” fumed the angry king, “We shall see!” When the Hebrew boys were eventually cast into the furnace, the fire was so hot that even the men who threw them in died in the process. Inside the fire, the bonds on their hands and feet burnt up, but they were unharmed by the fire.

They got up and began pacing in the midst of the fire, most likely worshiping the Lord. To the king’s amazement, there was a fourth man in the fire, walking with the three lads. The Lord had joined them in the fire and rescued them. Thus, neither King Nebuchadnezzar’s threat nor his brutal actions could stifle the faith of the lads. God ensured they came out victoriously.

Similarly, you must refuse to be intimidated or swayed by obnoxious laws or decrees enacted against the faith and Gospel of Jesus Christ. Take a stand for Christ; stick to His Word and watch Him do great wonders in, and through your life. Focus on pleasing Him, doing what He wants. Don’t be bothered by what people think about you or what they do to you. What matters is what God thinks. Therefore, love and serve Him with all your heart.

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word is my life. Irrespective of circumstances and situations, I stick to your Word and follow your guidance and will for my life. Thank you for the blessings I receive and enjoy today, and for showing me the key to a victorious faith-walk, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Acts 18:9-10;* Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: 18:10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

Daniel 3:25-30: He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 3:26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. 3:27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. 3:28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. 3:29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. 3:30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

*The components of effective prayers*
*Text:* Matt 6:9-13
_”In this manner, therefore, pray: our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen”_

*# Effective prayers involve REVERENCE for God #*

Reverence for God is another key component of effective prayers. Jesus said, _”In this manner, therefore pray,……..hallowed by Your name.”_ As our Father in heaven, He deserves to be honoured, hallowed and revered. In Mal 1:6, the Bible says, _”A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am the Father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is My reverence? Says the Lord of hosts…….” When you come to your Father in prayers, He asks, “where is my honour?” Reverence for God stands on the basis of your relationship with Him as your Father._

In addition, God only honours the prayers of those who honour Him not just with their lips but with their hearts. It is written, _”Therefore the Lord God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the Lord says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.”_( I Sam 2:30). God will treat your prayers the same way you treat Him in your life. If you honour Him, He will have respect unto your prayers and sacrifices. Remember Cain, the Bible says that God did not have respect/regard for his sacrifice. (Gen 4:5)

Honour for God starts from the heart. I Peter 3:15 tells us, _”But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”_(NIV). Honour Him as Lord and Master and not just the provider of your needs. If He is not Lord in your life, your prayers will be lightly esteemed before Him. If you do not regard Him as your Father, your petitions will be far from being answered by Him. It is time to truly revere and honour God with all our hearts and in all our deeds.

Shalom !

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV)

Business and career failure is principally a product of ignorance. Failure and ignorance goes together. Stagnation and ignorance goes together. You are so loaded that you are not permitted to be a victim because the same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you [Romans 8:11]. You are unstoppable, in the midst of famine, Isaac prospered [Genesis 26:1–14]; you too, can. There is no negative economic situation that has the capacity to hinder the progress of a believer.

Wisdom is the principal thing; and it is the correct application of knowledge. The difference between the rich and the poor is knowledge. Knowledge is to know, wisdom is to do. Knowledge adds to you, ignorance subtract from you. When what you know is more in profit generating than what you don’t know, you have surplus; but when what you don’t know is significantly much, compared to what you know, there will be subtraction. Life subtracts from you when you know little. Life will deduct from you what you don’t know and pay you profitably for what you know and apply. Never be among those who are not updating and upgrading themselves. Seek and value knowledge.

Go for knowledge.

Business and career failure is principally a product of ignorance.

[8/30, 2:35 PM] Faith Oshevire: 🍅🌽🍌 SEED OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

Live as an ambassador of God’s Kingdom in your generation. Live your life to publicly identify with your Creator in your generation
SCRIPTURE: Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 📖 Matthew 24:44

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot serve God and other things on earth and guarantee your place in eternity.
In our previous studies, we identified three of the things that constitute readiness and preparedness for eternity.
Today, we shall look at other things that aid our readiness and preparedness for eternity with God in Heaven.

1. Living in the consciousness and company of His Presence📖 (Psalm 17:15, Psalm 122:1)
If you don’t enjoy God’s presence on earth, how will it be possible for you to access His Presence in eternity? There are people who can’t stay in church for thirty minutes without getting apprehensive or being in a hurry to leave. They see spending thirty minutes in church to be too long meanwhile, they can watch movies for three hours on the same spot. They can do any other thing for lengthy periods of time but they cannot pray for fifteen (15) minutes.
If you don’t enjoy His presence in this life, how will you access His presence after this life? If His Presence does not excite you in time, His Presence will not attract you in eternity.

2. Living in His worship and service.
If you want a place with God in eternity, don’t serve or worship anything else but God in time 📖 (Matthew 4:8).
You cannot serve two masters; it is either you love one and hate the other or hate the other and love one 📖 (Matthew 6:24). Our God is a jealous God 📖(Deuteronomy 4:24). You cannot serve Him and other things on earth and guarantee your place in eternity.

3. Living as God’s representative in your generation.
Live as an ambassador of God’s Kingdom in your generation. Live your life to publicly identify with your Creator in your generation 📖 (Galatians 6:17;1Peter 2:9). Live unashamedly for God in your generation. You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before men 📖 (Matthew 5:14-16). Let people know that you belong to God.
There are many people who don’t have any problem with being Christians for as long as nobody is aware. They carry the Bible but they hide it or wrap it with a paper for people not to see it. They can’t bear His reproach. And because they are ashamed of identifying with God here on earth, He will be ashamed of them on the last day in eternity 📖 (Mark 8:38). Beloved, determine to identify with God publicly.
Remember this: You cannot serve God and other things on earth and guarantee your place in eternity.

1. Live in His presence always.

2. Live in the service and worship of God.

3. Live as a representative of God’s Kingdom here on earth.

PRAYER: O Lord, thank You for Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to live in Your Presence both in this world and in the world to come, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Refuse to be a nominal Christian. Refuse to be a bench warmer. Live in the consciousness of His presence. Be known with God. Culled from, “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: 📖 Ezekiel 16-18

AMAZING FACT: On average, a person says 4,800 words in 24 hours.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive the mantle for Kingdom ambassadorial existence in Jesus’ Name.
