MANIFESTING HIS VIRTUES AND EXCELLENCE.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light_ *(1 Peter 2:9 AMPC).*
As God’s children, we’re called to display the virtues and perfections of Christ; this is our ministry; this is our life. Jesus said, *“I am the vine, ye are the branches…”* (John 15:5). The branches are the fruit-bearing part of the vine. We bear His fruits, His virtues.
Hatred, bitterness, rage, lying, and the likes aren’t God’s virtues. Therefore, they aren’t part of the makeup or features of your recreated spirit. Rather, you’re to display God’s kindness, love, compassion, patience, meekness, gentleness, wisdom and excellence. Exude excellence in your home, school, place of work, and everywhere. Let it show in everything about you.
Furthermore, display His virtues and perfections through your gracious, soul-lifting and faith-inspiring words, full of life and power, converting the soul.
He’s made us wonders in this world; vessels to show forth His glory and righteousness. Through you, He expresses His love to others, establishing His Kingdom in the hearts of men. Hallelujah!
I live a life of glory, power, success and influence. I’m His workmanship, fashioned in Christ Jesus to display His wonderful deeds, virtues, perfections, excellence and wisdom in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Ephesians 2:10* For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
*Matthew 5:14-16* Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. *15* Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. *16* Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

‘Do not withhold correction from a child.’ Proverbs 23:13 NKJV
When it comes to discipline, your primary concern should never be your own comfort, but the ‘soul’ [mind, will and emotions] of your child! Discipline, or the lack thereof, can set off a good or bad chain reaction. If your children don’t respect authority in the home, they won’t respect it in the school, the government, the church, or ultimately even Heaven itself. It’s just a small step from rebelling against the parents God gave them to rebelling against the God who gave them their parents. And discipline should begin sooner rather than later. When a child is old enough to be told to do what’s right and they choose to do what’s wrong – that child is ready to be disciplined.
The Bible doesn’t specify an age limit in its definition of the word ‘child’. Just because your child is old enough to drive, shave and date, doesn’t mean they’re beyond correction. They may be too old for a time-out or for confiscating toys, but there are other, more effective ways to discipline an adolescent or teenager. If you read the book of Proverbs carefully, you’ll find that Solomon was talking to a son who was old enough to join a street gang, be tempted by sexual sin, patronise prostitutes, go into debt and get drunk. He wasn’t necessarily talking about primary school children.
Bottom line: as long as your children are under your roof, they are under your jurisdiction, and you will give an account to God for how you used – or didn’t use – your authority.

*HOW TO STIR UP THE GIFT OF GOD* (PART 2)
2 Timothy 1:6 (KJV)
*Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.*
1 Timothy 4:14-15 (KJV)
*Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.*
*Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.*
In continuation of yesterday’s teaching, we can fan our gifts into flames by the following channels:
2. *Fervent Prayer and Fasting.*
You may never know what you have and what you are capable of doing until you settle down to pray and fast.
James 5:16 (KJV)
*… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.*
Prayer is not only a means of geting things done, but it is a spiritual instrument and empowerment that pulls out the treasures that are deposited in us. Jesus was never known in his carpenter’s shop because all the glory and treasures in Him were dormant until He engaged the weapon of prayer and fasting. After that, He never returned to carpentry again. He began to fulfil purpose and all that the Father had deposited in Him began to have expression.
Luke 4:14 (KJV)
*And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.*
Jesus got started on the platform of prayer, that is, prayer is the secret behind the glory and diverse manifestation of power. Beloved, bear in mind that no divine agenda can be delivered by the energy of the flesh.
It takes spiritual engagement to pull out the treasures and power deposited in us. Remember, the mountain of prayer is the mountain of transformation where divinity takes over our humanity and we begin to walk in the power and glory of God.
Luke 9:29 (KJV)
*And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.*
2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)
*But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.*
> Thank you my Lord for this beautiful day you have made.
> Thank you my Lord for the salvation of my soul.
> Thank you my Father for supernatural supply of all my needs.
> Thank you my Lord for filling up my life with diverse spiritual gifts.

8. Leviticus 26:9 (KJV)
*For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.*
O Lord my God, cause everything about me to be fruitful and flourishing in the mighty name of Jesus!

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!
See you tomorrow.
