[9/21, 5:32 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: God wants you to succeed (2)

Monday 21st September 2020

‘I pray that you may prosper in all things.’ 3 John 2 NKJV

Jesus said, ‘What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul’ (Mark 8:36 NKJV)? And to drive home his point, he told the story of a rich man who died and went to hell, while a poor man on his doorstep went to Heaven. Bottom line: nothing is more important than your salvation! But God also has a plan for your life, and he wants you to succeed.

John writes, ‘I pray that you may prosper in all things… just as your soul prospers’ (3 John 2 NKJV). Note the phrase ‘in all things’. That includes your health, your mental and emotional well-being, your family and relationships, your career and finances. ‘All things’ means – all things! There’s not an area of your life that God is not interested in or that he won’t get involved in when you seek him, obey him and honour him. In the Old Testament, he said, ‘Keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do’ (Deuteronomy 29:9 NKJV). And in the New Testament, Jesus said, ‘But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you’ (Matthew 6:33 NKJV).

Aren’t you totally invested in the success of your children? When they succeed in life, don’t you celebrate with them? Well, as his redeemed child, your heavenly Father is invested in yoursuccess and celebrates it with you. So start praying and believing him today for success in all your endeavours.

*Various Seed that God has Given You*

*Proverbs 18:20-21, 1 Peter 1:23*

*A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof . *Being born again, not of corruptible seed , but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever *No one who is born of God will continue to sin , because God’s seed remains in them ; they cannot go on sinning, because they been born of God.*

Our text above show us three wonderful seeds that God has given us. One is God’s nature in us , another is the word of God and the third is the words of our mouth. Like we studied yesterday, God does not only want to open our eyes to know the seeds He has given us, He also wants to give us direction on how we can nurture and cultivate those seeds.

God wants you to cultivate His nature that is in you so that His nature in you will grow, mature and produce great fruits and manifestations in your life. As we do this , we will be victorious over sin and everything that is not the will of God for our lives. Some of the ways that we nurture the seed of God’s nature in us is by praying in line with the revelation of Christ and praying in the Spirit, studying and meditating on the revelation of Christ. Fellowshipping with other believers and yielding ourselves to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

In Luke 8:11-15, Jesus said in the parable of the sower that , “the seed is the word of God.* In that parable, Jesus showed how our attitude to God’s word determines how long God’s word survives in our lives and the kind of fruit that God’s word produces in our lives. As you receive what God’s word says about an area of your life , you are receiving God’s seed for that area of your life.

Just like God, every time you are speaking, you are creating your life and future. As you allow God’s Word and His Spirit to guide and lead you in the way that you speak, you are releasing the life and glory of God into every area of your life and future.

*Prayer Focus:*
Pray in the Spirit and speak the Word of God into your life and future. Thank God for the grace to cultivate His seed that is in you.

FROM:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*

*MANY DESTINIES ARE TIED TO YOURS*

Acts 13:36 (KJV)
*For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:*

No one lives and dies unto himself. Our lives are connected to one another, that means your success will mean the success of many. The same way if you fail, many destinies that God has connected to you might live to struggle. Therefore, maximize your season and fulfil your God-given destiny. Also, we must live an exemplary life worthy of emulation.

Esther 4:14 (KJV)
*For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?*

It was not accidental that God favoured Queen Esther before the King. It was primarily for the preservation of the Jews in her days, she arose and played her role in the path of destiny.

Beloved, just like Esther, the same responsibility is on our shoulders, we need to use our position to enhance the destinies of others and make our world a better place.

Also, because the destinies of many people are majorly dependent on our lives, we must strive to create a path of honour and integrity they can follow to navigate for their destiny fulfilment. We must be able to say like Apostle Paul that they should adopt and follow our ways of life.

1 Corinthians 11:1 (KJV)
*Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.*

*PRAYERS:*

> Thank you my Father for the gift of life and the joy of a new week.

> Thank you my Father for your mercies and loving kindness towards me and my household.

*YOUR NAME IN THE BOOK OF LIFE .*

Monday, September 21st .
Pastor Chris

_*And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life… (Revelation 22:19).*_

Many have assumed that when someone gives his heart to Christ, that’s when his name is written in the Book of Life. But that isn’t what the Bible teaches. It’s never really about your name being written in the Book of Life; the problem is about being removed from the Book of Life.

In Exodus 32:32, Moses said to God, _*“…blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.”*_ Moses knew about the Book of Life; it’s not the book where your name is written when you’re born again, because Moses wasn’t “born again.” So, what’s the Book of Life? It’s the book where God registers everyone who was ever born into this world.

Read our theme verse again; it was a warning to everyone. God’s plan originally was to have every one of us with Him. The Bible says He’s _*“…not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance”*_ (2 Peter 3:9). Everlasting fire was never prepared for human beings (Matthew 25:41), but for the devil and his angels. But God gave man the power of choice.

Whoever doesn’t find their names in the Book of Life eventually, have themselves to blame. God’s reply to Moses in Exodus 32:33 that we read earlier was, _*“…Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book”*_ (Exodus 32:33). What this simply means is that you live your life unto God.

Walk every day in love and in righteousness, and your name will remain in the Book of Life. Live a life that glorifies Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:15 says, _*“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”*_

*PRAYER*

*Faithful and righteous Father, thank you for the privilege to be a witness of your saving power; I pray for souls around the world today, to receive your Word and be converted. Also, I declare that my works in the Kingdom, and walk with you, are purified by your Spirit, for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Isaiah 50:7 TLB* Because the Lord God helps me, I will not be dismayed; therefore, I have set my face like flint to do his will, and I know that I will triumph. *||*

*||* *Mark 10:29-30* And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. *||*

*||* *Revelation 3:5* He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. *||*

Daily Devotional By Dr Paul Enenche
Monday 21st September 2020.
*TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING PEACE*

SCRIPTURE📖: “And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever”.
Isaiah 32:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY🤔: Peace is the state of quietness and confidence under all circumstances.

In our previous study, we established that many people have one form of misconception or the other of what peace is all about. They try to do many things in a desperate quest for peace and fulfilment to the detriment of their souls. This is because they don’t know what peace is truly all about.

In our study today, we shall seek to understand what true peace is all about. I will give you two definitions of peace from the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, and three other definitions based on Scriptures.

Now, what is peace?

*1. Freedom from anxiety:*
The Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary defines peace as freedom from anxiety or distress; it is the state of tranquillity. So, when one is said to be at peace, it means one is free from anxiety and distress.

*2. Freedom from conflicts:*
The Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary also defines peace as a state or period in which there is no war or war has ended. It is freedom from conflicts and crisis. When your life is free from crisis, we say that you are at peace.

*3. Peace is the stability of heart and mind in the midst of confrontation or adversity* (Philippians 4:6-7). :
To have peace is like having a feather that is unruffled in the midst of crisis or storm. It is such stability of heart and mind in the midst of confrontations or adversities that makes people wonder whether you are not in the same world with them. It may be personal or generational confrontations.

*4. Peace is a state of calmness and restfulness in the midst of pressure or urgency (Philippians 4:6-7).*:
Peace gives you freedom from every form of tension. During the construction of the Glory Dome, the international headquarters of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, many people who came to see me at that time wondered why I was so much at peace with such a massive construction going on. It is called the peace of God that beats all understanding. Peace is the state of calmness and restfulness in the midst of pressure. It is a state where you are free from tensions and urgencies.

*5. Peace is the state of quietness and confidence under all circumstances.:*
Peace is the state of quiet assurance and confidence (Isaiah 32:17). There seems to be something you are confident in. Righteousness equals peace, quietness and assurance. This means, peace equals quietness and assurance. It is the state of quiet assurance and confidence under all circumstances. When you experience peace, you cannot be recruited into the generational panic and fear that everyone experiences.

Beloved, God shall give you peace by all means in Jesus Name (2 Thessalonians 3:16).

Remember this💡: “Peace is the state of quietness and confidence under all circumstances.”

*ASSIGNMENTS:*
*1. Make up your mind to live an anxiety or stress-free life.*

*2. Ask God for the stability of your heart and mind in all circumstances.*

*3. Maintain a state of calmness and restfulness in the Lord regardless of the situation of your life.*

PRAYER🙏🏽: O Lord, I ask that You make Your peace a reality in my life. Help me to maintain calmness and quietness in all circumstances, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: “When you are in bitterness, you cease to be in peace, and therefore, you are deprived of all these things; you are deprived of health, prosperity, peace, favour, completeness, soundness, quietness, wellness, happiness, friendliness and it is such a limitation”. [9/21, 6:46 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: MONDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER 2020.

THEME: BUILD UP YOUR FAITH.

MEMORISE:

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Jude 1:20

READ: John 20:25-29

25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

MESSAGE:

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

As a believer, you must already have some level of faith. However, irrespective of the current level of your faith, you still have a duty to grow and strengthen it. Just like your physical body needs food and exercise to stay strong and healthy, your faith also needs food and exercise. The word of God is the food that our faith needs to become strong so as to do exploits for Him.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

You must study your Bible diligently every day. The more of the study of God’s word you do, the more of His abilities you will see and every fear that has previously weakened your faith will vanish.

Alongside the word, another delicacy you must add to your diet in order to have strong faith in prayers in the Holy Ghost as seen from today’s memory verse. The indwelling of the Holy Ghost empowers a person for exploits. Acts 10:38 says:
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

The Holy Ghost is responsible for miracles, signs and wonders. Hence, if you want your faith to birth signs and wonders, you must pray in the Spirit often. Paul said he prayed in the Holy Ghost more than all the other disciples (1 Corinthians 14:18); no wonder God was able to use him to achieve so much.

Your faith needs exercise to grow and stay alive. Faith without works is dead (James 2:20). You have to put your faith into action, then leave the rest to God. If the miracle doesn’t happen the first time, keep exercising your faith and very soon, it will be strong enough for exploit.

ACTION POINT:

From today, resolve to pray in the Holy Ghost for at least one hour every day.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Zachariah 8-14.
