[10/7, 6:07 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL
DATE: WEDNESDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2020.
THEME: SEEDS AND HARVEST.
Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither. 2 Kings 4:10
READ: 2 Kings 2:1-15
1And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
4 And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
6 And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
7 And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.
8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
I have avoided sharing this for a long time so as not to be misunderstood: when you provide for a man/ woman of God (in substance or service), you will never lack anything. By God’s grace, all my needs are supplied so there is no need to teach anything for selfish reasons.
In 2 Kings 4, once the Shunamite woman knew Elisha was a true man of God, she started to supply him with all he needed.
While you may have many teachers, you should have a particular Father-in-the-Lord you overwhelm with gifts or service. Doing this will ensure that the man of God takes up your case persistently with God.
It was Elisha who asked the Shunamite woman what she wanted. Although she claimed not to want anything, he pressed further. On discovering her childlessness, he prophesied that she would have a son and she did. Much later, when that son died, Elisha brought him back to life.
Elisha insisted on serving Elijah until the end, and his persistence eventually paid off as he got the double portion he asked for. If you serve that man of God diligently, he would ensure you get whatever you want.
I like to say there are a certain people in RCCG who are not permitted to die yet. I remember one woman- very effective in missionary assignment who had been in an accident some years ago. It was so bad that the foreign doctors kept saying she might not survive but I was so sure she was going nowhere. Today, she is still perfectly well and doing even more for God.
Another who has been instrumental in financing the work of God had a nightmare about death and wanted me to pray for him before he passed. I laughed and told him to relax. He said it was God who told him to put his house in order and I replied “Leave it between God and I; you are not going yet.” That was more than ten years ago and he is still bouncing in the Lord.
Find that one man/woman of God who you will consistently provide for in substance and/or services.

HYMN 17: MUST I GO AND EMPTY HANDED.
1. “Must I go, and empty-handed,”
Thus my dear Redeemer meet?
Not one day of service give Him,
Lay no trophy at His feet?
“Must I go, and empty-handed?”
Must I meet my Savior so?
Not one soul with which to greet Him,
Must I empty-handed go?
2. Not at death I shrink or falter,
For my Savior saves me now;
But to meet Him empty-handed,
Thought of that now clouds my brow.
3. Oh, the years in sinning wasted,
Could I but recall them now,
I would give them to my Savior,
To His will I’d gladly bow.
4. Oh, ye saints, arouse, be earnest,
Up and work while yet ’tis day;
Ere the night of death o’ertake thee,
Strive for souls while still you may.

*Trees of Righteousness*
*Isaiah 61:1-4 (NKJV)*
*The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me , Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings………… To comfort all who mourn , To console those who mourn in Zion , To give them beauty for ashes , The oil of joy for mourning , The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.’ And they shall rebuild the old ruins , They shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities , The desolations of many generations.*
Redemption is the best vehicle for national transformation. The redemptive work of Christ in our lives empowers us to build and restore the lives of others ; lives that have been ruined and destroyed by various people. Our scripture references the flow of the anointing of the Holy Spirit on the life of Jesus to touch and transform our lives so that we too can touch and transform the lives of others . As the gospel of Christ is preached to us and the power of God manifests in our lives, we receive beauty for ashes , the oil of joy for mourning and the garment of praise for every heaviness in our lives.
Our text above further reveals that the reason God gives us beauty for ashes, the oil of joy and the garment of praise is so that we may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified . It then goes further to explain what we are to do as trees of righteousness and how our lives will glorify God. We will rebuild the old ruins, we will raise up the former desolations, we will repair the ruined cities, and the desolations of many generations. We will rebuild and repair lives , foundations , system and structures that many would have given up on. We will bear fruit that give restoration, hope and life to many.
As we let our lights so shine before men , they will see our good works and glorify our Father in Heaven, Matthew 5:16 . God will also use us to raise many other trees of righteousness that will join us to bring about change and transformation to more lives and our nation. It will not be easy , but God’s grace is sufficient for us and we will be victorious. God will grant us His wisdom, strength and favour in the same way they were granted to Nehemiah.
I thank You, Heavenly Father, for how the work of Christ in my life is empowering me to restore and transform lives and situations around me .

[10/7, 6:07 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: MILLIONAIRE EMBRACE: Wednesday October 7, 2020 | Korede & Esther Komaiya
MANY MIGHTY MEN
“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
Daniel 11:32 (KJV)
There are many mighty men, but only one Almighty God. There are mighty men in government, science and technology, mighty men in business and in the world of finance. All mighty men put together do not equal one Almighty God. He that is with God is a majority. When all the mighty men on earth conspire against you and you are with the Almighty God, they would still not be able to bring you down.
But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploit! Your exploit in life is tied to your personal revelation of God; it is what determines your inner strength, without which you remain feeble in life. What is your personal revelation of God? Who is God to you? As long as Peter looked unto Jesus, he walked on water; when he lost focus on Jesus, he began to sink. If you face the Sun you will not see your shadow; you are seeing the size of your problem because you are not seeing the size of your God; when you see the size of God and know what He can do, every problem becomes no problem. If you can’t see the size of your God, you will be overwhelmed by the challenges confronting you. Your fears and worries reveal your ignorance of who God is. It is only those who do know their God that will be strong, and do exploit. Do you want to do exploit? KNOW YOUR GOD!
Develop yourself to have a personal revelation of God.
KEEP IN MIND
There are many mighty men but only one Almighty God.

*TOPIC: THE TRAGEDY OF FEAR*
🗣️Fear is faith in the wickedness of the devil and doubt in the faithfulness of God, and that equals disaster.
*SCRIPTURE* 📖: For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. Job 3:25.
*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* 🤔: Fear is faith in the wickedness of the devil and doubt in the faithfulness of God, and that equals disaster.
It has been confirmed that the spirit of fear is a deadly enemy of destiny. The fear of failure, the fear of the future, the fear of the unknown, etc., have made many to stop short of their God-ordained destiny. No fearful person can fulfil destiny.
*Now, I will like you to take note of the following key thoughts on fear:*
*a. Fear is an invitation to disaster* .
Fear is a magnet of evil just as faith is a magnet of good (Job 3:25).
*b. Fear equals faith in the wickedness of the devil and doubt in the faithfulness of God (Prov. 1:33)*
When people are afraid, they exercise faith in the wickedness of the devil. When a man is afraid, he has faith but in another direction. That faith says, “The devil is so wicked; I cannot escape his wickedness”. At this point, he begins to doubt the faithfulness of God. It is disaster because you cannot believe in the devil and see good things out of life.
*c. Fear paralyzes acceleration (Job 4:14)*
When a person is frozen with fear, the person is unable to move or make progress in life. There can be no meaningful progress in the face of fear.
Beloved, if you want to fulfil destiny, please avoid fear.
*Remember this* 💡: Fear is faith in the wickedness of the devil and doubt in the faithfulness of God, and that equals disaster.
*1. Refuse to be a victim of fear.*
*2. Surrender all your concerns to God.*
*3. Build your faith in God with light* .
*PRAYER* 🙏🏼: O Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the tragedy of fear. Help me to deal with every fear of the unknown and fear of the future. I surrender all my concerns to You Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

*AMAZING FACT* 😳: Swifts spend most of their lives flying in the air, and can fly for almost an entire year, without ever landing. A study showed that over a 10-month period, a swift stopped for just 2 hours.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD* 🔊🌧️: The plague of fear be destroyed from your life in Jesus’ Name.
