“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.” Luke 15:7

BIBLE READING: Luke 15:1-32
1•. Then drew near unto Him all the publicans and sinners for to hear Him.
2•. And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3•. And He spake this parable unto them, saying,
4• What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5• And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6• And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7•. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
8•. Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9• And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10• Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in The Presence of The Angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
11•. And He said, A certain man had two sons:
12• And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
13•. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14•. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15• And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16• And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
17• And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18• I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven, and before thee,
19• And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20•. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21• And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22• But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23• And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
24• For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
25•. Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
26• And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27•. And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28• And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
29• And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30•. But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
31• And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
32• It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

A. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” Hebrews 12:1
1•. Hebrews 12:1 says we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses. 2• This means that The Host of Heaven are constantly observing us and our actions on the earth.
3• Sadly, when they look down, most of what they see is sin.
4• Yes, once in a while, these clouds of witnesses see one or two people who surrender their lives to Christ and the whole Heaven erupts in joy because of this one fellow.
5•. This is why I use every opportunity to win souls to Christ; I want Heaven to rejoice always.
6•. What about you?
7• When last did Heaven rejoice because you brought someone to Christ?

C. “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”John 15:16
1• The statement Jesus made in the above verse is very logical.
2•. First, God loves soul winners- so whatever they ask, He will give.
2• Imagine if someone who always makes you happy comes with a request.
3• Even if the father of the house wants to say no, every other person will speak up for him and say “Daddy, we cannot say no to the request of this fellow, he is special to us in this family.”
4• That is what happens when a soul winner prays.
5• The whole of Heaven will cooperate to ensure that the prayer is answered because you are constantly making them rejoice.
6• When we gather for services, Heaven doesn’t rejoice over the great sermon, music, communion or giving, rather in souls won.
7• Heaven will ask “Did anyone get saved?”
8• If you are saved, share The Gospel to save others.
9• If you are yet to surrender all to Christ, do so now and there would be great rejoicing in Heaven over you.

Speak to someone above Jesus today and make this a daily habit.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Matthew 5-7

1. Ho, my comrades, see the signal, waving in the sky!
Reinforcements now appearing, victory is nigh.
“Hold the fort, for I am coming,” Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to Heaven, “By Thy grace we will.”

2. See the mighty host advancing, Satan leading on;
Mighty ones around us falling, courage almost gone! Refrain:

3. See the glorious banner waving! Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leader’s Name we triumph over every foe. Refrain:

4. Fierce and long the battle rages, but our help is near;
Onward comes our great Commander, cheer, my comrades, cheer! Refrain:

[10/9, 5:46 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *SEEDS OF DESTINY*

SCRIPTURE: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:  When money is allowed to control a man’s life, it can destroy his destiny.

The lifestyle of greed has been confirmed to be a deadly enemy of destiny. The lifestyle of greed can manifest as the love of money or the spirit of covetousness.

Now, take note of the following key thoughts on money:

a. Evil is rooted in the love of money.

Evil is rooted in the love of money (1 Timothy 6:10). And because evil is rooted in the love of money, the love of money is a destroyer of destiny. When money is allowed to control a man’s life, it can destroy his destiny.

b. Money is a wonderful servant but a terrible task master.

Money always answers all things (Ecclesiastes 10:19). Money is a wonderful servant but a terrible task master. For example, if you send money to buy a car or build a house for you, it will go. Money answers all things but it is a terrible task master.

c. The love of money is a killer of the love of God.

Money itself is neutral but the love of money, which is greed or covetousness, kills the love of God in the hearts of people. You cannot serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24). You can worship God with money but you cannot worship God and money.

My counsel is, make up your mind not to be used by money but use money to serve God.

Remember this: When money is allowed to control a man’s life, it can destroy his destiny.

1. Refuse to be controlled by greed and the love of money.

2. Worship God with money but don’t worship God and money.

3. Refuse to be mastered by money; instead, master money for your Maker.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for your Word to me today. Deliver me from the grip of greed and covetousness. I receive the grace to master money and use it for Your purpose on earth, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: Those who are dying of poverty, our money can be used to demonstrate the love of God and prevent them from dying in poverty. Culled from “21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Matthew 9-11

AMAZING FACT: A group of parrots is known as a pandemonium. And the collective noun for porcupines, is a prickle.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The love of money is cursed in your life in the Name of Jesus Christ.

*When the HEAVENS are Opened*

*Text*: Matt 3:16-17
_”When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”_

When the heavens are opened to you, you will see:
*# VISION #*

Heavenly vision is a natural consequence of open heavens. When the heavens are opened to you, your eyes will be opened to see the vision of God and His blueprints for your life. When the heavens opened upon Jesus, the Bible says, _”……and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.”_ The Apostle Paul had an encounter on his way to the city of Damascus and the heavens were opened to him. Later on in his ministry, he said, _”Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.”_(Acts 26:19-20).

On the Mount of Transfiguration, the heavens were opened to the disciples and they saw Jesus in His glory. Matt 17:4 says, _”Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”_ When you see a heavenly vision, earthly appeal loses its power over you. Peter did not bother about building any tabernacle for himself and his fellow disciples. All he desired was the Lord and His glory. This was what happened to Paul when he said, _”Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.”_(Phil 3:8).

Vision is the ability to see what God has prepared for you. The Lord said to Abraham, _”….for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.”_(Gen 13:15). For you to possess your possession in Christ, you must have a vision of what He has wrought for you. However, unless the heavens are opened to you, you cannot see the future that God has called you into. Jer 29:11 says, _”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”_ It is imperative for you to have the vision of this future so that you can feature in it. May the heavens be opened to you so that you can see the life of glory that you have been called to. (2 Peter 1:3)

[10/9, 5:47 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Perfect morning sir & ma.

Friday, October 9th.

Pastor Chris

_*And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:29).*_

The life of Jesus on earth was an unending stream of extraordinary blessings, victories and manifestation of the divine life. He was conscious of His divinity and oneness with the Father and spoke about it unequivocally. In John 8:42, He said, _*“…for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.”*_ As a result of this connection, He said, _*“All things that the Father hath are mine…”*_ (John 16:15).

Christ’s purpose in the earth was to bring you into fellowship with the Father. The Bible says our fellowship (oneness) is with the Father and with the Son, Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3). You’re an heir of God and a joint-heir with the resurrected Christ (Romans 8:17). Therefore, everything He owns belongs to you. You can affirm boldly, _*“All things that the Father hath are mine….”*_ The Kingdom of God is yours.

The Bible says Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Since you have Him, you have all that He owns. Blessed be God! No wonder Paul said, _*“Therefore let no man glory in men…”*_ (1 Corinthians 3:21). Don’t pride yourself in any human connections. Rather, recognise and celebrate your divine ancestry and all that your union with Christ has bequeathed to you.

*I’m an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ, and I celebrate my divine ancestry and the extraordinary blessings of my oneness with the Lord. In my path are angels, men, women and resources to help me fulfil my purpose for being and live a tremendously victorious life. I walk in the reality of my inheritance in Christ today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Romans 8:17* And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together. *||*

*||* *Colossians 1:12* Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: *||*

[10/9, 5:47 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: LIFE AND FAVOUR

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

3. *Fasting*

Matthew 6:17-18 (KJV)
[17] *But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;* [18] *That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.*

The scripture emphasizes that our lives have been programmed to include prayer and fasting in order to fulfil our glorious destinies in Christ Jesus.
It is a God-ordained weapon for our total turnaround. Fasting should not be seen as a religious routine but a period of deep communion with God via studying and meditation of the word and fervent prayer.

Fasting is self denial for a spiritual purpose. This is mandatory for every child of God from time to time because it brings us into an intimate relationship with God. Fasting helps our spirit to be in tune with the Spirit of God. It is meant to build up our spirit man in order to handle difficult situations and issues of life.

Mark 9:29 (KJV)
*And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.*

When Jesus said, *”…this kind can come forth except by prayer and fasting,”* He meant, we need more anointing and unction to deal with such situation. Fasting should not be seen as a punishment but a channel of deep communion with the Father. We don’t fast to impress God or beg Him. He does not need to be persuaded before He answers, if all other things are in place. Also, fasting cannot change God for He remains the same forever.

Fasting is our spiritual responsibility to walk in power and authority. The first Adam missed all that God provided for him because of food and he was sent out of Eden. The second Adam (Jesus Christ) overcame the temptation of food. He completed His fast and won back the lost glory. You will not miss it in Jesus mighty name!

Ecclesiastes 10:17 (KJV)
*Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!*

Esau the eldest son of Isaac lost his birthright because of his love for food.

Genesis 25:31-33 (KJV)
[31] *And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.* [32] *And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?* [33] *And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.*

Esau gratified his appetite just for one day and he lost his place of destiny. Let us arise and take up spiritual responsibility, I will suggest at least once in a week for every child of God. You can start with that and from there you can grow into more days in a week to build up your inner man. Life will not give you what you deserve but what you demand by power and authority. We must not eat away our precious destinies. We will be doing more exploits on purpose and benefits of scriptural fasting tomorrow.

2. Thank you for the privilege of accessing your heart via your word this morning.

6. Psalm 112:4 (KJV)

12. 1 Chronicles 12:21-22 (KJV)
[21] *And they helped David against the band of the rovers : for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.* [22] *For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.*

i. O Lord my God, connect me to my destiny helpers in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my God, help me to locate and identify the helpers you have sent to me in Jesus mighty name!

iii. O Lord my God, let my helpers locate me in Jesus mighty name!

13. 1 Kings 18:46 (KJV)
*And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.*

O Lord my God, grant me good speed in life. Let all forms of delay come to an end in Jesus mighty name!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow,
