[10/10, 7:11 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL
DATE: SATURDAY 10TH OCTOBER 2020.
THEME: BANISH ANXIETY.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6
READ: Luke 12:22-31
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
It is human nature to worry about personal wellness and that of our loved ones, but as Christians, this should not be our lifestyle because God has told us to be anxious about nothing (Philippians 4:6).
Fear reaches deep into our consciousness, making it very difficult to shake off. When anyone allows it, the door to stress becomes open, leading the way for many diseases, some of which can become fatal.
Today’s Bible reading tells us how God wants us to live- worry-free. He wants us to rest in the knowledge that He is in charge.
“Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:” Matthew 6:27-28
Can you answer the question above? Can you add one inch to your height by worrying? The answer is NO. if you cannot change the situation by worrying, why not put that energy into praying and getting rest from the presence of God?
I was only thirty-nine years old when I became the General Overseer of the RCCG. One day, while combing my hair, I noticed some grey strands and asked “Lord why am I having grey hair?” He replied “Are you not the one who is always worried about the Church? it is my Church, stop worrying,” from that day, I left everything in His hands. The grey strands of the hair disappeared and the Church has been matching forward a lot faster than when I was worrying. My anxiety added nothing to the Church but my surrendering to God added everything.
Worrying magnifies the problem because what you focus on will always get bigger. From now, focus on God, on His omnipotence and very soon, you will see the end of that problem.
Nothing is too difficult for God to handle (Jeremiah 32:27). Turn over all your cares to Him today and He will supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19).
Worry magnifies the problem. Worship magnifies your God who can solve all problems.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Matthew 8:1-13

HYMN 22: O LORD MY GOD!
1. O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
2. And when I think of God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin
3. When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And lead me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow with humble adoration
And then proclaim, my God, how great Thou art

*When the HEAVENS are Opened*
*Text:* Matt 3:16-17
_”When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”_
*Preparation for open heavens*
*# Repentance #*
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 says, _”When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”_
Sin is the number one reason for a shut heaven. When you live in sin, your heavens will be closed over you. The prayers of the wicked is an abomination to God, says the Bible. (Prov 15:8). The only solution therefore is repentance from dead works.
Peter said, _”Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”_(Acts 3:19). Repentance is followed by open heavens which produces a refreshing experience in God’s presence.
” _You are cleaned by the word that I have spoken unto you”_ John 15:3_

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*

BUILDING UP YOUR SPIRIT MAN (Part 4)
Proverbs 8:34 (KJV) *Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.*
FURTHER BENEFITS OF FASTING.
Mark 9:29 (KJV) *And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.*
This implies that some issues of life can only be handled by prayer and fasting because we will be so empowered to tame and subdue the activities of the devil.
Isaiah 58:6 (KJV) *Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?*
Prayer and fasting is a platform for divine empowerment. I mentioned earlier, that fasting does not change God but it changes us. From a weak version to a strong version. When we focus on God via fasting and prayer, our spirit man will be empowered by the Spirit of God to handle every spiritual issue. The above scripture says, “…to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke.” This explains that during fasting we are empowered; and we must be willing to use it to address every issue in our lives and to check the devil out of our domain. No man can be in charge without power, and scriptural fasting is the gateway to supernatural power. Pay the price and you will be reaping the harvest of testimonies.
Psalms 63:1-2 (KJV) *O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;*
*To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.*
To enjoy power and glory we must get connected to God via prayer and fasting. We are redeemed to reign on the earth (Rev 5:10). But without power, this prophecy cannot be fulfilled.
Psalms 66:7 (KJV) *He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves.* Selah.
God Almighty rules by power, therefore, His children equally need power to do the same. Power is the deciding factor in the issues of life. Without power, christianity may end up in frustration. Your enemies will only submit because of the greatness of the power of God that is at work in your life.
Beloved, begin to fast for power, ask the Lord during fasting to endue you with power to fulfil your destiny on earth. Any mission not backed up with power will end up in frustration. I believe that is why Apostle Paul said, I come not only in word but in demonstration of power.
1 Thessalonians 1:5 (KJV) *For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance…*
The gift of power will not come until you stir it up via prayer and fasting. Don’t wait until there is problem before you start to fast. Maintain regular fasting to build up spiritual strength.
>Thank you my father for the gift of a beautiful day.
>Thank you my Lord, for your mercies and lovingkindness towards me and my family.
>Thank you Lord, for the abundance of your blessings in my family.
> Father, I receive your word this morning with a heart of gratitude. Thank you my father for daily sending your word to me.

2. Ecclesiastes 10:16 (KJV) *Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!*

3. Ecclesiastes 10:17 (KJV) *Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!*

4. O Lord my Father, strengthen my inner man to tarry in prayer and fasting continually in Jesus mighty name!
*Interceding for backsliders.*
We are commanded to remember some of our brethren whose love for God is waxing cold, those who are discouraged and those who are erring from the faith.
1. Jeremiah 3:14, 22 (KJV) *Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:*
*Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.*
i. O Lord our Father, your mercy has no end, therefore, bring our backsliding brethren back to the fold in Jesus mighty name!
ii. Holy Spirit, help all backsliders to come to their senses and return to the Lord in Jesus mighty name!
2. Hosea 14:4 (KJV) *I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.*
O Lord my God, heal their hearts and turn away your anger from them in the mighty name of Jesus!
3. Isaiah 29:24 (KJV) *They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.*
O Lord my God, open their eyes of understanding so that they will return to the faith in Jesus mighty name!
4. Ezekiel 11:19 (KJV) *And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:*
i. O Lord my God, take away the stony heart from them in the mighty name of Jesus!
ii. Let your word make meaning in their lives again in the mighty name of Jesus!
5. In the mighty name of Jesus, I decree all backsliders in my church and family return speedily in Jesus mighty name!

O Lord my God, my eyes are on you, grant me my heart desire this year in the mighty name of Jesus!
2. Psalms 145:16 (KJV) *Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.*
O Lord my Father, open your hand in my favour and satisfy my heart desires in the mighty name of Jesus!
3. Psalms 90:17 (KJV) *And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.*
O Lord my Father, let your beauty be visible in my life and family in Jesus mighty name!
4. Psalms 50:2 (KJV) *Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.*
O Lord my Father, perfect my destiny and take the glory all alone in Jesus mighty name!
Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.
Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!
See you tomorrow,
Pray without ceasing

[10/10, 7:11 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Use your talents
Saturday 10th October 2020
‘Use the gift you have.’ 1 Timothy 4:14 NCV
Luigi Tarisio was born in Italy in 1796. A collector of violins, he took great pride in scouting out rare finds and purchasing only instruments of the finest quality. No one really knew about Tarisio’s passion, however, until after he died. It was while his estate was being appraised that some 246 valuable violins were discovered in his attic! One of the most expensive, hidden in the drawer of an old dresser, was a Stradivarius he’d purchased from someone who had also bought it solely as a collector’s item. Commenting on the matter, Dr W. Y. Fullerton, the gifted Baptist preacher, noted that in preserving the instrument Tarisio ‘had robbed the world of all that music’. And others before him had done the same. In fact, by the time the greatest Stradivarius in his collection was finally played, 147 years had elapsed!
One psychologist said, ‘Don’t die with your music still inside you…Don’t get to the end of your life and say, “What if my whole life has been wrong?”‘ God gave you gifts and he expects you to use them. If you wait until you can do it perfectly, you’ll never do it at all. Jesus said: ‘You are the world’s seasoning, to make it tolerable. If you lose your flavour, what will happen to the world? And you yourselves will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the world’s light – a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see’ (Matthew 5:13-14 TLB).
Understand this: God will hold you accountable for discovering your talents, developing them to the fullest and using them to glorify him and bless others.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY DR PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE
SATURDAY 10 OCTOBER, 2020
*THE LOVE OF MONEY – THE KILLER OF CONSCIENCE.*
SCRIPTURE: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When the conscience is dead, people commit all manner of evil.
Some years ago, I travelled to a country in Europe and a man who decided to do an illegal business in that country came to me and requested that I pray for him to succeed in his business. I asked what business it was, and found out that he was doing an illegal business. So, he actually came to me to pray for him to succeed in his illegal business. I looked at him and said to him: If I curse you now, you won’t survive it! I asked him: You mean you want me to pray for you to succeed in illegitimacy? What kind of useless money are you looking for? As preachers, do you think that we play with the Word of God that we preach?
Only the mercy of God prevented me from cursing him. At the end, I asked him to kneel down and hand his life over to God. And he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.
Beloved, the love of money has a negative effect on the conscience of man. The love of money is a killer of conscience; it kills people’s conscience. And when the conscience is dead, people commit all manner of evil.
Remember this: When the conscience is dead, people commit all manner of evil.
1. Do not allow greed or the love of money to kill your conscience.
2. Refuse to be part of the evils and crimes people commit to get money.
3. Be contented with God’s provisions for your life per time.
PRAYER: O Lord, I receive the grace to maintain a tender conscience and not to be controlled by greed. Help me to be contented with Your provisions for my life per time, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: It is very clear that we do more good with money than without money. Culled from “21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW” by Dr Paul Enenche.
DAILY READING: Matthew 12-14
AMAZING FACT: Cows poo up to 15 times a day, which can be as much as 115 pounds of manure per day, or approximately 21 tons per year. The large quantities are often put to good use – from manure, to fertilizer, to fuel, or biogas to create electricity and heat for developing parts of the world.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Grace to overcome the love of money is released upon you in Jesus’ Name.Share On:
