*THE SOURCE 1*

*Text: “For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water.” Jeremiah 2:13*

Everything God created was designed to depend on its source for sustenance. This is why staying in water is not an option for a fish; it’s a must. If you have ever seen a fish outside water you will understand how helpless the fish is without water. Every plant came out of the soil. If you take it out of the soil it withers away gradually. All this establish the truth that everything created depends on its source for life. The presence of the fish in water is not a swimming adventure but a means of livelihood. No matter how big and intelligent the fish is it can’t quarrel with water and take leave of absence from it. It will be absolute stupidity and self-deception for the fish to become so big to the point of despising the water.

For the fish to keep receiving support from the water it has to stay in water. For plants to keep drawing nourishment from the soil it has to remain attached to the soil as its source. In the same light to keep drawing from God we must stay attached to God. Staying attached to God is more than just going to church. It practically means developing an intimate relationship with God; it’s possible to go to church all your life and not have an intimate relationship with God. This is a relationship that comes from the understanding that there is nothing you can do without God. This also comes from the understanding that nothing and no one can take the place of God as source over your life.
He’s our fountain of living water!
He’s the vine through which the branch derives its life!

It’s important that we know the clear difference between the source and a channel. Parents, spouses, employers, uncles, the government, the salary etc are all channels. As important as any of them can be they can’t equate for the source in our lives. Only God has that capacity.

*PRAYER:*
The only experience that is permanent in my life is the purpose of God for my life. Thank you, Lord, for victory.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

MONDAY 12TH OCTOBER 2020

PST. CHRIS

TAKE YOUR PLACE AS A KING-PRIEST

Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor devastation or destruction within your borders, but you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise (Isaiah 60:18 AMPC).

The spate of evil, wickedness and deception perpetrated by Satan and his cohorts around the world today is something only the Church of Jesus Christ can cut a swathe through. We’re the restraining force against evil in the earth today. We have the authority in the Name of Jesus to frustrate these satanic activities.

Through prayers, we can establish God’s righteousness in places hitherto governed by agents of darkness and the principalities of evil. Don’t sit idly by; take your place as a king-priest, taking sides with the Lord in bringing His will to pass on earth.

Read the Psalmist’s inspiring words about our calling: the honour and privilege that belong to us, God’s saints: _*“Let the saints be joyful in glory…Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD”*_ (Psalm 149:5-9).

Even now, declare boldly that the wicked spirits responsible for the upheaval and evil in the nations of the world are unseated; they’re cut down, and God’s glory reigns in the earth. Take a moment to pray fervidly in the spirit, affirming that all those instigating or sponsoring the agenda of the anti-Christ in our day, their folly is made manifest, and their wicked works exposed and thwarted.

In these last days, God’s people shall continually declare His righteousness and praise boldly, leading more and more souls into salvation in Christ Jesus. Amen.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I take my place as a king-priest to effect changes all over the world. I put a stop to the evil machinations and manoeuvres of Satan and declare that the light of the Gospel shines gloriously around the world, many who were hitherto in the paths of destruction are turned from darkness to light, and become partakers of God’s grace, love and righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

Revelation 1:6
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 2:1-3
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Psalm 37:1-2 AMPC
Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness (that which is not upright or in right standing with God). 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

[10/12, 5:54 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*
FROM:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,
Lagos.

*DOMINION OVER FEAR*

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
*For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.*

Romans 8:15-16 (NKJV)
[15] *For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but your received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father”*
[16] *The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.*

The dictionary defines fear as a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain etc whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid. In other words, it can be defined as anticipation of the possibility that something unpleasant will occur.

God is not the author of fear. Satan is the manufacturer and distributor of fear. Therefore, we must be well informed with scriptural truth to deal with it. Fear is the strongest weapon in the hand of the devil.

Fear is a spirit and satan throws it at everyone. You have the right to receive or reject it. It is a spirit that opens doors for other deadly spirits such as untimely death, sickness, infirmities, accident, divorce etc. None of this can afflict us without fear. Therefore, we must be fully armed with scriptural truth to frustrate this satanic weapon. There are terrifying news here and there, but I want you to stay on the word of God in such a time like this.

John 14:27 (KJV)
*Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.*

Let God be your peace in the midst of trouble and storm. You can enter into the peace of the Lord by shifting your mind and focus from all negative news to the incorruptible word of God.

John 8:32 (KJV)
*And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.*

I decree every spirit of fear over you is broken in the mighty name of Jesus!

[10/12, 5:57 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *SEEDS 🌽🍉🥑🥔 OF DESTINY*
12th October 2020.
Daily Devotional by Dr Pastor Paul Enenche.
*TOPIC: THE PLACE OF DISCIPLINE AND SELF-CONTROL IN DESTINY FULFILMENT*

*SCRIPTURE*📖: “Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright”. Genesis 25:34.

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* 🤔: There is no destiny where discipline is lacking.

Destiny thrives in an atmosphere of discipline and self-control. That is why the lack of self-control is an enemy of destiny. A life without self-control is a life where everything goes. People who lack self-control have no power to do what they want to do. Indiscipline renders people useless.

I will like you to take note of the following *key thoughts on discipline and self- control:*

*1. There can be no destiny without discipline* .
Esau sold his birth right to his brother, Jacob for a morsel of meal because of indiscipline (Genesis 25:30-34). Esau had no discipline and so, had no destiny. There is no destiny where discipline is lacking.

*2. If you cannot control yourself, you can never control your destiny (Heb. 12:16-17).*
If you cannot control yourself, you cannot control your destiny also. If you cannot control yourself when it has to do with anger, the opposite sex, food, sleep, etc., you cannot control your destiny also. Until you can change yourself, there is nothing you can change.

*3. Self-control is a product of mind control* .
If you cannot control what goes into your mind, you will never be able to control what flows through your life. And if you cannot control what flows through your life, you will never be able to control your destiny. Self-control is a product of mind control (Proverbs 4:23).

Make up your mind to live a lifestyle of self-control and discipline.

*Remember this*💡: There is no destiny where discipline is lacking.

*ASSIGNMENTS* :

*1. Refuse for your destiny to be ruined because of pleasure like Esau (Genesis 25:30).*

*2. Make up your mind to live a life of self-control and discipline* .

*3. Bring your “flesh” under subjection and say “No” to your flesh* .

*PRAYER* 🙏🏼: Lord, thank You for showing me the place of discipline in fulfilling destiny. I receive the grace to bring my flesh under my control, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

*FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE:🔊📀: “DEADLY ENEMIES OF DESTINY (PART 2)”.*

*QUOTE* : ‘Our generation is so loaded with indiscipline: nobody thinks that anything is worth anything. That is why many people are where they are today. It is not our right to have what we have; it is a privilege’. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

*DAILY READING📖: Matthew 18-20*

*AMAZING FACT* 😳: A Blue Whale’s tongue can weigh as much as a car, or a small adult elephant. A Blue Whale’s tongue can weigh approx. 2.7 tonnes, or 6,000 – 8,000 pounds (2,720 – 3,630 kg).

*PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD* 🔊🌧️: Grace for discipline is released upon your life in Jesus’ Name.
*Good Morning* 🌻🌹

[10/12, 6:07 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: MONDAY 12TH OCTOBER 2020.

THEME: GOD REWARDS BOUNTIFULLY.

MEMORISE:
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24

READ: Luke 5:1-11
1And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

MESSAGE:
In Luke 1:1-11, Jesus entered into Simon’s boat and asked him to push a little from the land. Simon not only accepted but also allowed the Lord to preach from his boat for as long as He wanted. Afterwards, Jesus rewarded Simon by blessing Him with the greatest catch he had ever had. God never ignores any good act. He always rewards, and He does so bountifully.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9

Sometimes, it may appear that you are not getting rewards for your labor in the house of God. This may be because the coming reward is indeed very great and God is preparing you for it. Don’t lose hope. It will come at the right time if you keep working for God.

Joseph was honest and hardworking, yet he was thrown into prison. In the prison, he interpreted the chief butler’s dream yet for two years it appeared there was no reward coming (Genesis 40, 41). However, by the time God was going to bless him, the reward was great. He became the second in command to the most powerful man in the whole world at the time. That is what happens when you are not weary in well-doing.

God will reward every sacrifice – your time or money, in multiple folds. Hebrews 6:10 says: “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Only an unrighteous person will refuse to say Thank you when something has been done for him/her, not God. He is not unrighteous.
Matthew 19:29 says anyone who sacrifices the comfort of family and home just to please and obey God will get a hundred-fold reward and also inherit everlasting life.

Do not be weary in well-doing, your reward is coming.

PRAYER POINT: Father, please help me to serve You with all of my heart and to wait patiently on You, in the mighty name of Jesus.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Matthew 12:22-50, Luke 11

HYMNAL: Hymn 4 – Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine!
1. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

CHORUS:
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Saviour all the day long.

2. Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight,
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

3. Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Saviour am happy and blest,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Fill’d with His goodness, lost in His love.
