‘Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give…will never thirst.’ John 4:14 NKJV

One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, ‘Why do you eat and drink with such scum’ (Luke 5:30 NLT)? Such contempt – and from those who should have been the first to show love and compassion! Jesus loved people; look how he dealt with the woman at the well. First, he broke the rules. Jews didn’t mix with Gentiles, and they certainly didn’t associate with her kind. (She’d been divorced five times.) Jesus walked for miles to meet this woman. He went into her world to bring her into his. He mixed with her not to take advantage of her or become like her, but to reach, redeem and restore her. That’s why he’s called ‘a friend of…sinners’ (Matthew 11:19 NKJV). Could people say that about you?

Second, he broke the ice. Jesus talked about what she was interested in – water. You must start where people are, not where you think they should be. You must use words they understand. And get over your fear of rejection. You may lose face if they say no, but think what they’ll lose if they never have a chance to say yes to the Gospel.

Third, he broke the news. He offered her living water instead of dead religion. How can you say you love someone and not share the greatest thing you ever found – salvation? Everybody you meet is hung up on the past, anxious about the future, or in need of a real friend. Once you find which door they’re behind, walk through it with love and sensitivity. They’re thirsty for ‘the living water’. Share it with them.

SCRIPTURE: And God blessed them,”and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it”: and have dominion over the fish of the sea,”and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1″:28

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The ultimate of the blessing of God is authority

The Bible makes it clear that God created mankind to exist in the authority or dominion realm. He created us and blessed us for authority. So,”the ultimate of the blessing of God is authority. The instruction from God to man at creation is to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and then have dominion or authority (Genesis 1″:28).

Throughout Scriptures,”we see that the outcome of the blessing on the blessed is authority. God blessed Abraham and Abraham became the most authoritative figure in his generation.

The Blessing of God was on Job and that blessing positioned Job as an authoritative figure in his generation.

Now, what does authority refer to?

1. Excelling or Existing at the Top in Life (Deut. 28″:13,”Matt. 5″:14b)

A person in authority is one who has ascended into prominence by excellence and is standing out at the top of his/her calling or career in life.

2. Existence in Dominion (Gen. 1:28)

A person in authority dominates in his field. If he is a lawyer,”for instance, he is someone who has dominated or conquered the legal profession. Once the profession is mentioned, his name comes to mind.

Today, I prophesy the blessing of authority upon your life and destiny. The top is your place; you are leaving the ground level today in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS”: The ultimate of the Blessing is authority

1. Strive to be the best at whatever you do

2. Connect to higher grace for prophetic impartation

PRAYER: O Lord,”I take my place in excellence and dominion. I decree that I am the head, not the tail, above only and not beneath, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: I decree the termination of every trace of captivity in your life; step into the realm of authority in Jesus’ Name.

Revisit the Word and Persevere in Prayers

Acts 1:3-5 (GNB)
For forty days after his death he appeared to them many times in ways that proved beyond douht that he was alive. They saw him, and he talked with them about the Kingdom of God. And when they came together, he gave them this order: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift I told you about, the gift my Father promised. John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

After Jesus rose from the dead, He lovingly went back to His disciples and continued to reassure them of the same things He had previously spoken to them about before He died. Jesus did not give up on His disciples and He will not give up on you. Please don’t give up on yourself. There may be things you have been learning or hearing about for a long time, but you still haven’t understood or started experiencing in your life. Don’t give up. Do not stop listening or giving attention to them. Keep hearing and learning more about them. They will soon sink in and come alive in your heart.

After reminding His disciples of what He had previously been teaching them, Jesus also instructed them to pray and expect the power of the Spirit as He promised. In addition to hearing and learning, it is imperative that you also pray more about those things. This time, pray with expectation of God’s power and Spirit to empower you to experience those things. There are some new experiences you are going to have that you have been longing for so many years. By faith, the disciples faithfully went to the upper room after Jesus’ instruction and they continued praying, not knowing how or when they would experience what Jesus had promised them. Suddenly, there was a divine empowerment and manifestation of God’s promise to them, Acts 2:1-4. As you revisit the word of God and keep persevering in prayer and in faith this year, you will experience the manifestation of great things in your life.

Heavenly Father, I receive Your grace to keep going back to Your word and to keep praying over it until it manifests in my life
