SCRIPTURE: The Name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it,”and is safe.

Proverbs 18″:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Name of the Lord is not just a Name but a house,”a tower of refuge.

It is an established fact that as we draw closer to the end of the age, there is an escalation of satanic wickedness and recklessness in all dimensions across the world (1 Peter 5″:8). The names of the sicknesses and diseases we hear of today were not even mentioned just over twenty-five years ago. The vices and criminal activities that bedevil our society today are unprecedented in scale and intensity. When we were growing up,”we hardly heard anything like kidnapping but today, the act of kidnapping seems to have overwhelmed the whole society; people bargain human lives as though they are bargaining tubers of yam.

Nevertheless, in the midst of all these, I have good news for you and bad news for the devil. There is a NAME that can both mesmerize and pauperize the works of the devil. That Name has the capacity to hide the children of God from the reach of any harm. That name has come to show that there is a power that the devil cannot contend with (Philippians 2″:10).

Proverbs 18:10 also reveals that that Name is not just a Name but a house,”a tower of refuge. And no matter how mad a witch or wizard gets, they cannot pursue you into the tower of the Name of the Lord. Any level of curiosity that would make the goat to go and greet the hyena in the morning – makes it to become food instantly!

My counsel is, you need to live right to be able to dwell inside the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This means that a liar is on his own; a gossip, a womanizer, a smoker, a thief, the unforgiving, the seductress, a cheat, etc. are all on their own; they have no part in the Name of the Lord. You must know the Name of the Lord in time of peace before He can answer you in time of war.

Beloved, do not live your life carelessly in a time like this so you don’t end up as a casualty.

Today, I prophesy your exemption from all satanic traps in this season. You are preserved, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS”: The Name of the Lord is not just a Name but a house,”a tower of refuge.

1. In the midst of agitations, let your faith in God remain firm.

2. Ensure that you are hid in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ always for your preservation.

3. Ask God daily for the grace to live a life of uprightness.

PRAYER”: Lord,”I confess that my life is hid in Christ in God; I am not at the mercy or a victim of satanic restlessness. I ask for Your grace to maintain a life of uprightness in order to be fit to abide in You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

[10/24, 7:41 AM] 919063: Understanding our Father (1)

Thursday 24th October 2019

‘They did not understand…of the Father.’ John 8:27 NKJV

Religious people in Jesus’ day found the concept of God’s fatherhood hard to grasp. Lord, king and judge they understood – not Father. Their Old Testament scriptures barely spoke half a dozen times of God as Father, whereas the New Testament mentions it hundreds of times. Jesus himself said, ‘No one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him’ (Matthew 11:27 NIV). The truth is, until Jesus revealed the Father, God remained a mystery to them. And many of us still don’t comprehend his fatherhood and the rich blessings we have in him.

Father, God’s all-inclusive name, incorporates everything you’ll ever need and discloses exactly how he feels about you. He exemplifies every trait of the best father imaginable. Whatever a loving father would do for his needy child, your heavenly Father will do for you – and then some. Once we recognise God as our Father, our fears dissolve as we start to realise that all our needs will be met. Jesus said, ‘It gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom’ (Luke 12:32 NLT).

It makes God happy to give you the resources of his Kingdom. Why? Because he loves you as much as he loves Jesus! In John 17:23, Jesus prayed you’d know with confidence that your heavenly Father loves you ‘in the same way [he has] loved me’ (NIV). So treat God as your Father, and start acting like his child and enjoying the benefits of family membership (see Ephesians 2:19).

*God’s Grace will not be in Vain in Your Life*

_2 Corinthians 6:1 (KJV & GNB), 1 Corinthians 15:10, 2 Timothy 2:1_
_We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. *In our work together with God, then, we beg you who have received God’s grace not to let it be wasted. *But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. *… my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus._

God’s grace will not be in vain in your life because you will not be ignorant about the grace of God that is available to you in Christ. Your consciousness of God’s grace activates its manifestation in your life. Nothing can make you conscious of God’s grace like your ability to focus on Jesus and the wonderful things that He has done for you, John 1:14 &16-17. It is the word or revelation of God’s grace that builds us up and gives us our inheritance in God, Acts 20:32.

In Romans 5:2, the Bible shows us that because we are standing in the grace of God, we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. When you are conscious of God’s grace, you will feel deeply loved and accepted by God (2 Cor.5:21) and you will also feel rich and empowered, 2 Cor. 8:9. The grace of God is an empowerment. You shall not be weak or defeated anymore. The grace of God has made you victorious. Receiving the abundance of God’s grace for us in Christ causes us to reign in life, Rom.5:17. You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you, Phil.4:13.

You shall put the grace of God to work in your life. God is at work in you so you have to work along with Him, Phil. 2:12-13. As you take actions by faith and your consciousness of God’s grace, the glory and power of God will be revealed in your life. You will stir up the gifts and abilities that God has given you and as you work, let your faith remain in Christ alone and not in yourself or your works or abilities.

Heavenly Father, I receive your grace to keep all my focus on Christ and continually arise and put your grace to work in my life.
