[10/26, 5:04 AM] Monday Unureri: You can begin again

Saturday 26th October 2019

‘The Lord is my portion…therefore I hope in him.’ Lamentations 3:24 NKJV

When you haven’t accomplished what you’d hoped for, regret can become a major pastime. The computer programmer wishes he’d become an accountant, the accountant wishes he’d become a doctor, etc. Maybe you planned to leave a legacy, but to date all you’ve left is a trail of unfilled aspirations. It’s not too late; you can begin again! You just have to be prepared to pursue your dream and pay the price. ‘To win the contest you must deny yourselves many things that would keep you from doing your best’ (1 Corinthians 9:25 TLB).

Don’t listen to the critics and complainers who’ve settled for less. Your goal shouldn’t just be to live long, but to make a difference in your world and glorify God. Solo transatlantic pilot Charles Lindbergh said, ‘I feel I lived on a higher plain than the sceptics on the ground…Who valued life more highly, the aviators who spent it on the art they loved, or these misers who doled it out like pennies through their antlike days?…If I could fly for ten years before I was killed in a crash, it would be a worthwhile trade for an ordinary lifetime.’ Look at Winston Churchill: instead of retiring after World War II, he went on to win the Nobel Prize in literature. When Heinrich Schliemann retired from business to look for Homer’s legendary city of Troy – he found it. Like Bible characters Moses and Paul, they started again.

Here’s a Scripture you can stand on: ‘Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion…therefore I hope in him’ (Lamentations 3:22-24 NKJV)! That means you can begin again.

[10/26, 5:05 AM] Monday Unureri: Today’s SOD – 2019-10-26
TOPIC: YOUR ACTION AND YOUR OUTCOME

SCRIPTURE: That they do good,”that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate. 1 Timothy 6″:18

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your action sponsors your outcome,”and your behaviour is critical to your becoming in life.

Some time ago, I heard the story of a young man who committed sexual immorality with another man’s wife. What happened thereafter? The following morning, when he arrived at his office, he was fired.

Was it merely a coincidence? Not necessarily. The frightening thing was that nobody in his office saw him when he committed the iniquity. He did it secretly, quietly and privately, but in the realm of the spirit, an attack went forth against his destiny.

When he was handed the sack letter, he asked, ‘what did I do?’ Nobody explained anything to him. But he himself knew what he did that was fighting his future.

Beloved, your action sponsors your outcome, and your behaviour is critical to your becoming in life.

Also, some years back, a young man on fire for God suddenly began to accommodate a lady he was not married to in his house. It was during our 21 days fasting and prayer which they both participated. They would fast and return home to continue from where they stopped in their immoral lifestyle.

Such spiritual activity diluted with the filth of immorality can never deliver any favourable outcome in the life and destiny of anyone.

My counsel is, possess positive actions in order to generate positive outcomes in life and in destiny.

REMEMBER THIS”: Your action sponsors your outcome,”and your behaviour is critical to your becoming in life.

[10/26, 5:13 AM] Monday Unureri: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Saturday, 26th October, 2019

WHERE IS THE LORD GOD OF ELIJAH?

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
2 Kings 2:14 KJV

When the chariot took Elijah away, Elisha cried out, ‘My father, my father.’ In other words, I am connected to this anointing. This shows that there was a father-son relationship between Elijah and Elisha. Remember that it was God that connected them. It was God that told Elijah to go and lay his mantle on Elisha to be a prophet in his place. Elijah did not give birth to Elisha. He was not his natural father. It is a spiritual thing. No wonder he was able to part the waters.

He cried out: ‘My father, my father!’ And when the obstacle came, he said; ‘where is the Lord God of Elijah?’ There is something we can learn from Elisha’s relationship with Elijah.
Before Elijah was taken up to heaven in a chariot of fire, Elisha knew that Elijah was going to be taken away by the Father. All the sons of the Prophet that were there were trying to discourage Elisha from continuing with Elijah. They were trying to break the connection between him and Elijah. They said all manner of things to him. But Elisha remained focused and unmoved. Elisha kept saying to them, “shut your mouth, don’t disconnect me, because I know that God connected me here. And I know what I am looking for”.

The problem is that we are too easily moved by what people say. We get easily distracted by the opinions of others. Consequently, it is a struggle for many to maintain divine connectivity with their spiritual father. You see, when the enemy wants to stall your movement, your progress and your advancement in life; first of all he disconnects you, he proceeds to isolate you, then he kills you. There are blessings that are naturally yours without struggle, when you position yourself strategically the way you ought to.
