And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
Luke 9:2

*Bible Reading: Mark 16:16-18*
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

There are many benefits that believers in Christ enjoy as part of their heritage in God’s kingdom, some of which are the supernatural things outlined in today’s Bible reading. Sadly, these benefits elude some people who believe in Christ today! Why is this so? A thorough examination of Mark 16:16-18 will reveal the answer. The first key to unlocking these miraculous sign is that you must have been baptized into Jesus Christ. What does this mean? It means that you must have accepted Christ into your life by believing Him with your heart and confessing so with your mouth. Also, you must have identified yourself as belonging to His camp, and most importantly, you must have formed a union with Him that has produced a permanent change in your life. That is what it means to be baptized into Christ. It goes beyond merely accepting Him as Lord and Savior on superficial level. Speaking on this, the Holy Spirit says in Galatians 3:27:

“ For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

To be baptized into Christ is to put on Jesus Christ as a garment. A person is identified by his or her clothing. If you claim to be baptized into Christ, has it left a permanent change in you? When people take note of you, do they identify you with the person of Jesus Christ? The disciples were noted to have been with Jesus without them voicing it out. Is it so with you (Acts 4:13)? The next key to unlocking the manifestation of miraculous signs is having faith in the power in the Name of Jesus and using it (Acts 3:16). Some people have invented other names to call upon, whereas the Name of Jesus Christ is the only one recognized and obeyed in heaven and hell (Acts 4:10, Philippians 2:9-11).

In addition, Jesus said that believers shall speak with new tongues. Today, some people don’t believe that believers can still speak with new tongues after being baptized in the Holy Spirit. They believe that the days of speaking in tongues are over, and so they don’t even bother to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Such people short-change themselves of the power of God that they need to overcome the devil and his agents, and easily fall prey to the challenges of these perilous times. If only they had believed, not only would they enjoy divine healing and divine health, they would also have been agents of divine healing. However, all of these benefits are lost to unbelief! Beloved of God, one can be in church for many years and still remain an unbeliever. As the old English adage goes, “The hood does not make the priest.” I therefore encourage you to be a practical believer today, and all those signs listed in Mark 16:16-18 shall be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

Beloved, have you been baptized into Christ? Do you believe and use the power in the Name of Jesus? Have you appropriated the power of praying in the Holy Ghost? Examine yourself today.

Deuteronomy 29-30
Ezekiel 16:1-14

1. When the power of God descended
On the day of Pentecost,
All the day of waiting ended,
They received the Holy Ghost

O Lord, send the power just now,
O Lord send the power just now,
O Lord send the power just now,
And baptize, every one.

2. Tongues of flame came down upon them,
And they preached the word in power,
Listening multitudes awakened
Turned to God that very hour.

3. We are waiting Holy Spirit
We are all of one accord,
Lord fulfill just now the promise
That is given in thy Word.

4. Fill and thrill us with Thy presence,
Grant the blessing that we need
Flood our souls with wondrous glory,
While the prayer of faith we plead

From Well-Eating to Well-Being
by Margaret Michel

In every matter of wisdom and understanding, concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters who were in all his realm.

Daniel 1:20
Taking a test with a teacher who has authority over your grade is nerve-wracking enough.

Imagine having to answer to a king with authority over your life!

Daniel and his friends were only a few among thousands of exiles. Yet, when they had the chance to eat and drink from the conquering king’s kitchen, they literally bet their lives on a different diet.

In today’s verse, we find Daniel and his companions receiving off-the-chart grades in every subject after trading the king’s glorified fare for simplified food.

During college labs, a professor conducted an experiment that had the same results every time, he said. During the course of the experiment, one set of mice consumed junk food along with sugared drinks, whereas a separate set of mice ate only healthy food and pure water.

The healthy-eating set stopped eating when satisfied and maintained their weight, agility, and wit. The unhealthy-eating set seemed to be unaware of their limits and ate constantly until becoming obese and sluggish in movement and in thinking.

In 1 Corinthians, Paul reminds us that our bodies are God’s temples (3:16; 6:19). Our food choices affect more than just our taste buds. They provide the nutrients that power our bodies.

Over time those choices, whether healthy or not, become a lifestyle.

Heavenly Father,
Please help me to make choices that protect and promote the life You gave me.
May I keep Your temple healthy, ready for You to use me in Your service.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

[7/11, 7:45 AM] 919063: Today’s SOD – 2019-07-11

SCRIPTURE: Where the word of a king is,”there is power”: and who may say unto him,”What doest thou? Ecclesiastes 8″:4

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be loaded with Word is to have good success.

It has been established that the Word of God guarantees the release of the blessing of God on His people. Anyone who is Word-loaded is blessing-loaded.

Previously,”we saw a few ways in which the Word of God can connect man with the blessing, and today, we will look at the fact that the Word of God imparts the unction for success and progress.

The Word of God is pregnant with power (Ecclesiastes 8″:4,”Hebrews 4″:12),”and the purpose of that power is the enforcement of change; it is for the generation of success (Joshua 1″:8). So,”to be loaded with the Word is to have good success.

Anyone in touch with the Word is in touch with power; and power guarantees change; it guarantees success and progress.

When Joseph encountered the Word, he stepped up with the blessing (Psalm 105″:17-22).

The Word of God is the custodian of the blessing; it can turn a desert into a forest. Barrenness can turn into fruitfulness; empty-handedness can turn into heavy-loadedness by just one Word from God. All you need is a Word revelation and you will have a blessing revolution.

Now,”how does the power in God’s Word bring success or blessing?

1. The power in the Word of God dismantles yokes, limitations, embargoes, spells or curses.

2. The power in the Word rearranges situations and circumstances to bring about Divine agenda; it orchestrates relevant people in your direction if they are to be divinely instrumental to your blessing.

Remember this”: To be loaded with Word is to have good success.

1. Locate yoke-breaking scriptures and stand on them for the breaking of every yoke around your life.

2. Let the Word of God enter your spirit every day,”and trust God to rearrange situations in your favour.

PRAYER: Lord,”thank You for Your Word. Cause every limitation or yoke around my life to be broken by the power of Your Word, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING”: 1 Chronicles 11:1 to 12:18,”Acts 28″:1 to 31,”Psalm 9″:1 to 12,”Proverbs 19″:1 to 3

QUOTE: Revelation guarantees destination…the revelation of the Word of God will take you to where God wants you to reach in life. Culled from 22 LAWS OF LIFE (Vol.2) by Dr Paul Enenche.

[7/11, 7:45 AM] 919063: Be wise; don’t compare!

Thursday 11th July 2019

‘But they, measuring themselves by themselves…’ 2 Corinthians 10:12 NKJV

Jesus said: ‘Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, “God, I thank you that I am not like other men – extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.” And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to Heaven, but beat his breast, saying, “God, be merciful to me a sinner!” I tell you, this man went down to his house justifiedrather than the other’ (Luke 18:10-14 NKJV). Whereas the Pharisee thought of himself as the best-dressed man in town, God saw his garments of self-righteousness as ‘filthy rags’ and rejected him (see Isaiah 64:6).

An unknown poet wrote: ‘I dreamed death came the other night and Heaven’s gates swung wide. With kindly grace an angel ushered me inside. And there to my astonishment stood folks I’d known on earth; some I’d judged and labelled as “unfit” or of little worth. Indignant words rose to my lips but never were set free; for every face showed stunned surprise – no one expected me!’ We are all saved by grace, not works (seeTitus 3:5).

We don’t get into Heaven based on our performance, but on Christ’s performance on the cross. That being true, don’t try to lift yourself up by putting someone else down. Don’t assume that you have the right to judge their character, heart motives or spirituality. When you do that, the Bible says you are ‘not wise’.

*God’s Promise of Prosperlty and Abundance*

Isaiah 58:11(GNB), Psalms 1:3(AMP), Isaiah 48: l 7 (NKJV)

“And I will always guide you and satisfy you with good things. I will keep you strong and well. You will be like a garden that has plenty of water, like a spring of water that neve; goes dry. *And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth it’s fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everthing he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]. *… “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit.”

In whatever situation you find yourself, you shall always be victorious and prosperous. You shall be prosperous in your body, soul and spirit, 3 John 1:2. The blessing of Abraham is upon your life. Galatians 3:9 (NLT) says, “so all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.” Like Joseph, God will make all that you do to prosper and people will see and know that God is with you and that God is making you prosper and succeed,” Gen. 39:2-3. Deuteronomy 28:12 (NLT) adds, “The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.” In Psalms 103:1 & 5 (NKJV), David professed, “bless the Lord, O my soul;. . . who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” No matter what it looks like right now, hold on to God’s promise concerning your life and it shall manifest and become your experience. God is tending to and nurturing your life.

Ask and you shall receive. The Lord shall supply all your needs, Phil.4:19. He will do exceedingly and abundantly above all you ask or think, Eph.3:20. Based on scriptures such as Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:2 and Isaiah 55:10-11, we see that one major instrument God uses to cause us to become prosperous is His word. Keep filling yourself with God’s word. His abundant wisdom will flood your life and manifest in your life. You shall never be stranded. You shall prosper in all things.

Faith Declaration:
The blessing of Abraham is upon my life. I am fruitful and successful. I prosper in all things. All my needs are met.

[7/11, 7:45 AM] 919063: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Thursday, 11th July, 2019

“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.”
1 Corinthians 12:12 KJV

If you study the ministry of Jesus, you will discover that Jesus never at one time took the glory that was due to the Father even though He is part of the Godhead. Rather, He will tell you “I don’t do anything except the one my Father tells me to do”. In John 16:7, He said to His disciples, “Nevertheless, it is very important, it’s expedient, it’s very advantageous for you that I go away. If I don’t go away, the Comforter will not come”. Jesus was saying to them, “Listen! It’s better for me to go. You thought you’ve seen something, you’ve seen nothing yet. Let me go away, there is someone better than me coming. He is the Holy Spirit”.

Now, when the Holy Spirit comes and people want to turn the glory to the Holy Spirit, you will now hear the Holy Spirit saying again in John 16:13 and 14 that His primary assignment is to glorify Jesus. God points to His Son! His Son points to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit says “No! It’s Jesus”. There is that coordination in the Godhead. And that’s why the power of God could be released. It is the same coordination that God expects from us as we complement each other.

Until we begin to understand and recognize the uniqueness in each part in the Body of Christ we would be short-changing ourselves. If you can see our individual uniqueness, it will change your life. It will heal you of envy, jealousy, contention and ill-will. It will help you pray for your brother, and sister without anything clogging your mind. Today, I pray for a fresh release of the spirit of oneness and togetherness and I declare that everything you agree upon shall be made manifest in Jesus name.
