[12/27, 5:56 AM] 919063: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Thursday, 26th December, 2019

“For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?” Luke 14:28(KJV)

Today is traditionally called Boxing Day- people spend this day in various ways. Many people because of partying and visiting yesterday, want to take time to rest. If you are in that category, it is also an incredible opportunity to take stock of the year. However, if today is also very busy day for you, no problem, carve out time during the day, sit all by yourself and take stock. Stock taking is very important activity and I recommend you do it quarterly so that you stay accountable to your goals.

One of the errors of believers today is being unacceptable. We think God wastes resources and we live anyhow but expect God’s blessings. No! It does not work like that. God is not prodigal with His blessings and because you are like Him, He does not expect you to be wasteful.

One of the key areas of waste is how we manage our time. The question you should ask yourself is: “What have you done with the time God has given you? How many lives have been touched and transformed?” God was not idle or looking for a way to waste time when He made you. You were made in His plan even before time began and He has a purpose for your life. You are not a creature of a man or woman coming together. No! They were only vehicles; God planned your existence. So what have you done for Him this year?

No matter the score you get, go a step further and plan for the coming year. Set goals for yourself in every area and ensure those goals are measurable and then set time for them. If you can take time to do this (you do not have to finish it in one day), you will discover that 2020 will be better year for you. God wants you to prosper and you can do it; simply plan. But don’t just plan in your head, take a book, write down those goals, set time lines and quarterly, review your goals, you will be amazed at what you have achieved.

[12/27, 5:56 AM] 919063: Developing patience

Friday 27th December 2019

‘Problems and trials… help us learn to be patient.’ Romans 5:3 TLB

Isn’t it interesting how, as we get older, we tend to become more patient, even though we have less time left? Why is that? Perspective! Our problems haven’t changed that much, but our perspective has. Things that once upset us don’t anymore, because we’ve lived long enough to know ‘His grace is sufficient’ (see 2 Corinthians 12:9). Once you realise that it’s no big deal – and most things aren’t – you can say, ‘Been there, done that!’ Instead of fretting and complaining, which doesn’t work and steals our joy, we’ve learned to sing these words from the hymn: ‘Great is Thy faithfulness, oh God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.’

Like Joseph, you can look back to times in life you thought you’d never get through, and stuff you thought you’d never survive, and say, ‘You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good’ (Genesis 50:20 NKJV). Yes, perspective produces patience: ‘We can rejoice…when we run into problems and trials, for we know…they are good for us – they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character…and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love’ (Romans 5:3-5 TLB).

So let God develop your patience.

[12/27, 5:57 AM] 919063: Today’s SOD – 2019-12-27

SCRIPTURE: And ye shall serve the LORD your God,”and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water…the number of thy days I will fulfill… I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee. EXODUS 23″:25-27.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Access to the possibilities of life is not feasible until the right keys are available

A key is a small piece of shaped metal with incisions cut to fit the wards of a particular lock,”which is inserted into a lock and turned to open or close it.

Keys open locks or give access to enclosures. It is a medium of gaining passage or entry into a locked arena. As it is in the physical so it is in the spiritual; access to the possibilities of life is not feasible until the right keys are available. It is critical, therefore, to note that the possession of a key is not enough but the possession of the right key.

So, what are the keys to preservation; what do you do to enjoy Divine preservation?

1. Establishment in Righteousness

Be established in righteousness. If you are not in the path of wrong, you cannot be in the way of harm (1 Peter 3″:13). Righteousness is a preserver.

2. Refusal to Entertain Fear

Refuse to fear. Do everything you can to give no place to the devil through fear. Faith brings preservation while fear facilitates destruction. (Job 3:25).

3. Condemnation of the Voices of Confrontation

Condemn the voices of confrontation. It is your responsibility to condemn every voice of destruction against you (Isaiah 54:17).

4. Understanding your Heritage of Divine Preservation

Understand your heritage of Divine preservation. Understand that you are not an easily waste-able material (Psalms 49:12,”20).

5. Commitment to Kingdom Service

Be committed to Kingdom Service. Divine Preservation is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Exodus 23″:15).

I decree to you,”from today, you shall never lack Divine preservation; you are shielded in this ‘EMBER’ month and season, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS”: Access to the possibilities of life is not possible until the right keys are available

1. Determine to practice all the above mentioned keys to Divine preservation.

2. Be involved in practical kingdom services through evangelism or soul winning,”church service units, intercession, giving, etc.

PRAYER”: Lord,”I make demands on Your preservation power upon my life and destiny. Help me to do all I must do as mentioned above to secure Divine protection on my life Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
