SCRIPTURE: “…Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning,”are gifted with knowledge and good judgment, and are suited to serve in the royal palace…”

Daniel 1″:4b (NLT)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you do not want your life to degenerate,”update; you need mental update for destiny upgrade.

Sometime ago, I travelled to the place of my birth and saw the building that was celebrated around the 1970s as the best building in that community. But I became amazed because the building has now become an eyesore. Imagine that! What was celebrated yesterday is being tolerated today. The truth is, if you do not want your life to degenerate, then upgrade your life.

Someone once said “the largest room in the world is the room for improvement.”

In this New Year, determine to upgrade or improve yourself on whatever you do. If you are not updated, you will be out-dated; you need to update to have an upgrade; you need to update your mentality in order to upgrade your destiny. The world is moving; people are moving, you can’t afford to be the only one not moving!

However, you have to refuse the life of comparison because when you compare yourself with mediocre persons, you may feel like a champion amongst them whereas you are still battling with how to become excellent. It is like a butterfly calling itself or feeling like a bird in the company of flies.

Beloved, at the end of your journey on earth, God is not going to ask you of the number of people you were ahead of; He would ask you of how productive you were compared to the potentials He deposited in you.

Today, receive the impartation of the grace for personal update and improvement in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS”:If you do not want your life to degenerate,”update; you need mental update for destiny upgrade.

1. Avoid the lifestyle of competition and comparison; competition will only lead to tension and limitation.

2. Continuously update yourself by going closer to God; nobody can refurbish you like your Maker

3. Update yourself also by reading wide, asking questions, researching around your discipline, etc.

MILLIONAIRE EMBRACE: Friday January 3, 2020 | Korede & Esther Komaiya

“When Jesus saw him and knew he had been ill for a long time, He asked him, ‘Would you like to get well?’ ‘I can’t, sir,’ the sick man said, ‘for I have no one to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always gets there ahead of me.’”

John 5:6-7 (NLT)

Nothing is impossible until you think, say and accept it is. Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…” Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” There is a language you must eliminate as you journey through the year; it is, “I CAN’T.” Every time you say “I Can’t”, you shut down your possibility mechanisms and bring yourself under tense limitation.

The man in our opening scripture was at a “Bend” in his life and was resident at the Pool of Bethsaida for sad thirty eight years.  When Jesus asked him if he would like to get well, he said, “I can’t, sir…” You really would not, every time you say “I can’t. There are no difficult situations, bad responses make situations difficult. No matter your state, life will never pity you for your excuses, “…someone else always gets there ahead of me,” that is because you already said you can’t – a state that affects every other state of a person’s life. You’ve got to create your atmosphere of possibility by developing the sense of “I CAN” and eliminating that of “I CAN’T.”

Eliminate I CAN’T from your language.

Nothing is impossible until you think, say and accept it is.

“When we were at Mount Sinai, the Lord our God said to us, ‘You have stayed at this mountain long enough. It is time to break camp and move on…”

Deuteronomy 1:6-7 (NLT)

No matter the events that had occurred in your life, it has little or no impact on how you live your life from now. How you resolve to live now is more important than how you lived. You will become the decisions you make today and not yesterday, because yesterday’s decisions birthed your outcomes today. You keep getting yesterday’s outcomes remaining at yesterday’s events.

The year is still in its infancy, a decade just began. To possess the decade require that you move on no matter what obstacles you encountered on your journey past. The Children of Israel had remained at Mount Sinai longer than necessary that God had to call their attention. You do yourself much arm remaining in yesterday’s glories. You limit yourself staying on yesterday’s mistakes and errors. You stop yourself from maximizing the year making excuses with what happened last year. Break Camp and Move On! Your Good Times and Better Days are here!

Heavenly Father, I thank You for today’s devotional; I refuse to remain at a spot and take the steps necessary to live above “Yesterday”, in Jesus’ Name!

How you resolve to live now is more important than how you lived.

“It will be like a dream when the Lord comes back with the captives of Zion. We will laugh and sing happy songs! Then the other nations will say, “The Lord did a great thing for Zion!” Yes, we will be happy because the Lord did a great thing for us. So, Lord, bring back the good times, like a desert stream filled again with flowing water. Then those who were sad when they planted will be happy when they gather the harvest! Those who cried as they carried the seeds will be happy when they bring in the crops!”

Psalms 126:1-6 (ERV)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 8-11

1. Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus
Daily let me go;
Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,
More of grace to know.
o Refrain:
Oh, deeper yet, I pray,
And higher every day,
And wiser, blessed Lord,
In Thy precious, holy Word.

2. Deeper, deeper, blessed Holy Spirit,
Take me deeper still,
Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,
And His perfect will.

3. Deeper, deeper! though it cost hard trials,
Deeper let me go!
Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,
Let me fruitful grow.

4. Deeper, higher, every day in Jesus,
Till all conflict past,
Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image
Perfected at last.

5. Deeper, deeper in the faith of Jesus,
Holy faith and true;
In His pow’r and soul exulting wisdom
Let me peace pursue.
