[2/4, 6:50 AM] 919063: How’s your marriage? (2)

Tuesday 4th February 2020

‘Live joyfully with the wife whom you love.’ Ecclesiastes 9:9 NKJV

Three things happen in a good marriage: (1)You get to know yourself. To grow, you must be able to look at yourself realistically, and the best place to do that is in a home filled with love. It lets you be open about your mistakes and shortcomings. It’s a safe place to fail. It creates a listening environment filled with understanding and support. The people closest to us form us. When Mother Teresa received the Nobel Peace Prize, she was asked, ‘What can we do to promote world peace?’ She replied, ‘Go home and love your family.’ If you want to change your world, start at home.

(2) You get to know your character. A Christ-centred home not only helps form your children’s character, it strengthens yours too. Character is built on the choices you make and habits you cultivate. And since your family creates your primary environment, it influences those choices and habits. Strong families encourage us to make good choices, develop the right disciplines, and pay the price today for success tomorrow.

(3) You have a safe haven. It seems like the pace of life gets more hectic every day. Driving on overcrowded roads is stressful. The workplace is demanding. The playground is an increasingly hostile environment. Where can you find shelter? If not at home, then probably nowhere. Theodore Roosevelt said, ‘I’d rather spend time with my family than with any of the world’s notables.’ His home was his safe haven in the midst of life’s storms – and yours can be too. The question is: what are you doing to make it that way?

[2/4, 6:50 AM] 919063: MILLIONAIRE EMBRACE: Tuesday February 4, 2020 | Korede & Esther Komaiya

“And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house upon the sand. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell––and great was the fall of it.” Matthew 7:26-27 (AMP)

Proverbs 4:7, “Wisdom is the principal thing…” and folly is the opposite of wisdom. It is important to differentiate between “You are a fool” and “Are you a fool?” “Are you a fool” is not the same as “You are a fool.” The wise knows that in life you must answer this question: “Are you a fool?” To a fool, it is an insult; to the wise, it is a question that his or her lifestyle must answer. Only with your lifestyle [That is, the fruits you generate through attitude, productivity and efficiency] this question can be answered.

Whatever you put in the hands of a fool must destroy the fool. If you give a fool position, it is the position that will destroy the fool. Nothing destroys like foolishness. Who is a fool? From our opening scripture, a fool is anyone that has access to the knowledge and principles of the word of God and would not apply such in real life situations. In as much as you will not apply the word of God in real life situation, the situation will fool you. The greatest mistake you will ever make in life is to have workable knowledge and not engage it profitably. Do you want to see the weakness of satan? Refuse to be a fool. The moment you move at the wavelength of applying the word of God, you manifest wisdom.

Answer the question, are you a fool?

Nothing destroys like foolishness. I celebrate yo

And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Proverbs 23:2

READ: Proverbs 23:21

21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

As much as food is necessary for humans to stay alive, it could also be the cause of untimely death for some. This is primarily because such people have refused to exercise moderation and care in their food intake. Today’s memory verse says you should control your appetite, exercise restraint even if it appears you may die by doing so. Don’t be like Esau who, because of hunger, in Genesis 25:32 claimed:

“Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?”

Listen: You will not die by exercising discipline on yourself. It is indiscipline that kills. Sometime ago, some rats were used for an experiment. They were put in two groups “A and B. the ones in the first group “A, were fed very well, thus they grew fresh and robust while the ones in group B were given fewer rations, so they were not as fat as those in the first group. After some time, all the rats were injected with the same measure of a disease. Those in group A died while those in B survived.

The researchers found a strong connection between overfeeding and the failure of the rats in group A to survive the disease. Watch the quantity of food you consume, especially when you are about to go to bed. It may be difficult at the start, but keep at it, your body will adjust.

Avoid junk and genetically modified food. As much as possible, reduce how often you take canned food. In fact, eating too much processed food has been linked with the development of cancer. It is best to eat organic fruits and vegetables as they are healthy. Grow some of your food if you can.

God is interested in your spiritual wellbeing but He is also very interested in your health. That is why He took care of sickness through the stripes on His body (Isaiah 53:5) before His crucifixion for your sins at Calvary. He needs you to take care of your body because the healthier you are, the more effective you will be in His service.

It is foolish to eat dangerously and expect to live in divine health.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Exodus 16-18

1. Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
*Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise.

2. Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3. Take my voice and let me sing,
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my silver and my gold,
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own,
It shall be Thy royal throne.

6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee.

[2/4, 6:52 AM] 919063: Today’s SOD – 2020-02-04

SCRIPTURE: For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,”there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despise Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses”: Hebrews 10:26-28.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The abuse of grace leads to eternal damnation.

The grace of God which is given to help us live a sin-free life has been used by many in our days to brazenly commit sin and excuse it away. There are people who live anyhow they want in the name of grace. Some preachers teach that once you are saved,”you are forever saved and that it does not matter the sin you commit. That is a lie from the pit of hell; that is an abuse of grace.

The essence of grace is to make us wax strong in spirit (Luke 2″:40); grace makes people to be Christ-like in every aspect. It teaches people to deny ungodliness and worldly lust (Titus 2:11-12); grace empowers people to live soberly in righteousness and godliness in this present world (Titus 2:11-12),”and causes people to abound unto good work (2 Corinthians 9″:8). So,”grace helps us to live right; it is not a license to live wrong.

Jude 1″:4-7 (NLT) says,”…some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvellous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not remain faithful.

So, there is nothing like if you are saved today, you remain saved permanently regardless of how you live.

Beloved, please be mindful of this”: church welcomes everybody as they are so they can be changed,”but not so with heaven. The abuse of grace leads to eternal damnation in hellfire. To claim that grace is a license to live anyhow is to find oneself in eternal hellfire where there is no way out. That will not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS”: The abuse of grace leads to eternal damnation.

1. Refuse to live in sin; and if you have a weakness,”make demands on God’s grace to overcome and live in righteousness.

2. Be sincere to God; if you make a mistake, sincerely ask for mercy and never go back to it.

3. Pray, study the Word, and create an atmosphere of God’s presence around you always.

PRAYER: O Lord,”give me the grace to walk in righteousness. Draw me close to You and connect me with Your purity, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING”: Deuteronomy 11-14

QUOTE: To conquer anything in this world,”you must first conquer yourself. Culled from 21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT”: The element Selenium conducts electricity only when a light is shined on it. In the dark,”it is an insulator.

DON’T FORGET TO ATTEND”: A Power-packed Communion Service tomorrow with friends and loved ones for the preservation of your life and destiny by 5:30pm. God bless you as you come.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: The grace to say NO to unrighteousness is released upon you in Jesus’ Name.
