SCRIPTURE: And Abram said unto Lot,”Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me”: if thou wilt take the left hand,”then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. Genesis 13″:8-9

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Fruitfulness ends where thankfulness ends because to be thankful is to be fruitful.

One of the most tragic accounts in the Bible is the account of Lot and his family. Lot was Abraham’s nephew who Abraham brought up in his house. A time came when there was strife between the herdsmen of Lot and those of Abraham. This led to their parting ways and the eventual crash of Lot’s destiny. Lot moved from a very solid destiny to become history. He moved from the realm of fame to the realm of shame; from the realm of popularity to irrelevance and obscurity. Lot was shamefully ordered out of Sodom and Gomorrah without carrying a penny. He lost his wife who became a pillar of salt. Furthermore,”he had immoral relationship with his two daughters and that led to the birth of the bastard generations of the Amorites and the Moabites.

Now, one reason for the tragedy of Lot was the attitude of ingratitude. It is that attitude that does not know how to say, “Thank you.” The only appreciation Abraham got from Lot was competition and quarrel.

Beloved, it is only great fools that are not grateful. God did meaningful things in the life of Lot as a result of his connection with Abraham but Lot did not appreciate God for the connection.

I would like you to take note of these points on gratitude”:

a. Where your gratitude stops,”there your altitude stops.

Anytime you stop thanking God, He stops lifting you.

b. Fruitfulness ends where thankfulness end.

To be thankful is to be fruitful.

My counsel is, make the choice for gratitude. Refuse to be ungrateful to God. Be thankful to God always regardless of the condition you find yourself.

REMEMBER THIS”: Fruitfulness ends where thankfulness ends because to be thankful is to be fruitful.

1. Always show appreciation to God and to your fellow man for what you have received from them,”no matter how little it may look.

2. Do not take anyone God has sent your way for granted; be grateful always.

PRAYER”: Lord,”I am grateful to You and to the people You brought into my life. Thank You for Who You are and What You are to me. Receive my gratitude, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: When a man’s conscience is not alive,”his character can never be correct. Culled from WHO ARE YOU? by Dr Paul Enenche

DAILY READING”: 2 Kings 1-3

AMAZING FACT: Sir Isaac Newton was a devoted Christian,”to the amazement of many. Mathematician, astronomer, craftsman, theologian and physicist, Sir Isaac Newton, best known for his work on gravity, was a Christian since his youth and wrote passionately in defense of the Christian faith. Newton made a huge contribution to science. He laid the foundations of modern calculus and his discoveries led to several breakthroughs in recent centuries.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD”: Grace to avoid and escape the error of Lot is released upon you in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: The Wind I (Open Heaven 16 March 2020)

Memorise: “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” – John 3:8

Read: Acts 2:1-4 (KJV)

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Bible in One Year: Deuteronomy 17-20

Open Heaven 16 March 2020 Monday MESSAGE:
The first sign of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost was that there was a sound of a mighty rushing wind that filled the upper room (Acts 2:2). Before the apostle saw the fire, they heard the sound of the wind. In Genesis 2:7, the Bible tells us that when God formed man, He breathed life into him. From the innermost being of the Almighty God came a little bit of wind that went into lump of clay to make it into a living soul. Ecclesiastes 12:7 says:

“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”

What God breathed into the dust that turned it into a living soul was the spirit. We can see therefore that there is a link between the Holy Spirit and the wind.

The Spirit can blow gently like a breeze. In Judges 13:24-25, the Bible talks about how the Spirit began to move Samson at times. Samson was growing up and the Spirit, in form of a breeze was moving him, shaking him a little. Occasionally, when someone is experiencing the Holy Spirit for the first time, he may find himself shaking just a little; not violently or convulsing as in when manifesting demonic possession, but just shaking a little bit. That is the Holy Spirit moving like a breeze. Sometimes, when worshipping God- alone or even in a congregation, when the Holy Spirit takes over, a little shaking may be experienced, that is the Holy Spirit moving as a breeze. You need to be sensitive at times like that so the Holy Spirit can do His complete work in your life.

On the day of Pentecost, the wind came into the room and filled the whole place. In Genesis 1:1-2, when God made the Heaven and the earth, and the earth was void and without form, the Spirit moved over the whole earth. This tells you that when the Holy Spirit is moving during the service, it is not the time to begin to look around; but to be in and be moved by the Spirit.

Key into the manifestation of the Holy Spirt during private or corporate worship and trust Him to work wonders in your life.

Open Heaven 16 March 2020 Monday Hymn14: Immortal Invisible, God Only Wise
1 Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.

2 Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.

3 To all life Thou givest, to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish, but nought changeth Thee.

4 Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All laud we would render, O help us to see:
’Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee.

(Giving direction to your day)

*Text: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believed…..” Rom 1:16*

A shame driven life is a life in which you are not proud of certain aspects of your life. Living this way produces weakness in our lives and ineffectiveness in functioning at the highest level of life that God designed for us. The direct opposite of been ashamed is been confident about life and about yourself.

I want to share with you today some things you must never be ashamed of.

*1. Never be ashamed of your union with Christ –* If you are ashamed of this you have automatically reduce your effectiveness as a believer. How will you communicate what you are not proud of to someone else? The gospel of Christ is the greatest privilege of life. If you are saved it means divinity has come to take residence in your life. It means that the power of God has been given to you to become everything you were created to be. Why will you be ashamed of this? What you have in Christ is the answer and the cure to every human problem.

*2. Never be ashamed of your difference –* God is a God of difference. He made each one of us unique and different. If he wanted you to be like someone else he would have made you exactly like them. He made you different so that you can fulfil his unique plan and purpose for your life. Similarities create conflicts, while difference creates significance. One of the greatest breakthroughs in forensic science is based on the difference created by God in each one of us. This is why thumb prints can be used to locate people. Please celebrate your difference. You may not be able to do what someone else is doing. But you can do something that others cannot do. Discover your difference, celebrate it and develop it. Other people will be drawn to you.

Thank you Lord for making me so different. Thank you for the uniqueness in my life.

[3/16, 7:02 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: This is no small matter!

Monday 16th March 2020

‘And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him.’ Isaiah 11:2 NLT

Isaiah said of Jesus: ‘Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot – yes, a new branch bearing fruit from the old root. And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him – the Spirit ofwisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. He will delight in obeying the Lord. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay. He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at the force of his word’ (Isaiah 11:1-4 NLT). You may ask, ‘How does it influence my life?’ More than you may think! When Jesus Christ sits on the throne as ruler of your life, the Spirit that rested on him will rest upon you too! With that in mind, go back and reread the words in italics slowly and thoughtfully. If you see evidence of them in your life, nurture them with prayer and water them with the Word of God. And if you don’t see any evidence, get down on your knees and pray, ‘Father, make me more like Jesus.’

Before you buy a car, the salesperson usually lets you test-drive a demo. Chances are if you like it, you will buy the car. We are each called to be a ‘demo’ for Jesus. This is no small matter! Why? Because in the final analysis, your words, attitudes, actions and reactions either drive people away from Christ or attract them to him.
