But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
– Galatians 6:4

*Bible Reading: 1 CORINTHIANS 3:9-15*
9. For we are labourers together with God; ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

10. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13. Every man’s work shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

14. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

While it’s one thing to build, it’s another thing to build something that benefit mankind and glorifies God Almighty.

God is therefore asking you today, “What are you building?” When you consider the construction of the tower of Babel, you will understand the relevance of this question (Genesis 11:1-9).

Although those people are indeed building, they were erecting an edifice that symbolised rebellion against God. Their example shows us that anyone building anything worthwhile must build in the pattern that God has established, and whatever is being built must not go against His purpose.

Without a doubt, parents are builders of future generations, but the question is, what type of generation are they building? In Genesis 18:19, God said of Abraham as a parent:

“For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

Can God say the same of you? Apart from parents, teachers are also builders. As a teacher what are you building in your students? A good teacher should be able to say like Paul in Philippians 3:17:

“Brethren, be followers together on me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an example.”

It is unfortunate that in some places, students dictate to teachers what the standard should be. Wherever this is happening, something is fundamentally wrong. A bad teacher will definitely build a faulty generation.

Eventually, a bad teacher will definitely reap the reward of their work. The story was told of a bad teacher who produces a half-baked medical doctor. Years later, this doctor was complicit in the death of the teacher’s child. Minister of the gospel are also builders.

In fact, they are the greatest builder of all because they build the Body of Christ. Paul wrote in today’s Bible reading that by God’s grace, he was a wise master builder who had laid the foundation of faith in people’s lives, warning others to be careful for how they built on that foundation. Why? The answer is found in (1 Corinthians 3:11), which says:

“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

From this, we understand that it is possible to build junk upon a golden foundation. Such a building will not stand the test of time.

Beloved, what are you building with your life? Remember that every man’s work shall be tested by fire, and if it is burnt, it is counted as loss to its owner. This will not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

Thank you for your effort in sharing today’s open heavens across your social media networks, we truly appreciate and pray for more of God’s grace to continue strongly in Christ Jesus. See you here tomorrow!

Father, please make me a wise and faithful builder in Your vineyard, in Jesus’ Name.

*HYMNAL: Hymn 5 – Let others see Jesus in you*
1. While passing thro ’ this world of sin,
And others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within;
Let others see Jesus in you.

Let others see Jesus in you.
Let others see Jesus in you;
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true,
Let others see Jesus in you.

2. Your life’s a book before their eyes,
They’re reading it thro’ and thro’
Say, does it point them to the skies,
Do others see Jesus in you?

Let others see Jesus in you.
Let others see Jesus in you;
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true,
Let others see Jesus in you.

3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave and true,
And lead the lost to life and light;
Let others see Jesus in you.

Let others see Jesus in you.
Let others see Jesus in you;
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true,
Let others see Jesus in you.

SCRIPTURE: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you,”and thereby many be defiled; Hebrews 12″:15

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A broken spirit dries up the bones.

I once heard the story of a nurse who had blood cell cancer. She consulted a Christian haematologist,”a specialist in blood diseases, for remedy. Surprisingly, the haematologist asked her, ‘Is there anyone who offended you so much that you are bitter against?’ And she opened up about her being bitter against her father because when she was a child, her mother was sick and her father sent her to call the village doctor but before she could return, her mother had died. No one explained anything to her but what she saw next was her mother being carried into a box (coffin). The question in her little mind was, ‘Why is daddy suffocating mummy?’ Before she could recover from that, her mother was buried. Afterwards, her father married another wife who began to maltreat her. That bitterness remained in her heart until adulthood and later manifested physically as blood cell cancer.

Now, the blood is made from bone marrow, and the Bible says that a broken spirit dries up the bones (Proverbs 17″:22). That means when the spirit is broken by bitterness,”the bone, and by extension, the blood can dry up or get afflicted.

The doctor talked her into forgiving her father, and immediately she forgave, within six weeks, every trace of cancer disappeared. All she needed to do was to release forgiveness and receive her healing.

Beloved, bitterness is a root that develops into some undesirable fruits and the fruits are afflictions, diseases, troubles, and torments (Hebrews 12″:15,”Matthew 18″:28-34). Maybe you are bitter against someone,”release forgiveness and you will receive healing and peace on every side.

Remember this”: A broken spirit dries up the bones.

1. Make demands on the grace to forgive always.

2. Forgive anyone who has offended you,”and make up your mind to forgive all offences even in advance.

3. Refuse to be a source of offence to others.

PRAYER: Lord,”I receive the grace to forgive those who offend me. I refuse to accommodate bitterness, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING”: 2 Chronicles 8:11 to 10:19,”Romans 8″:9 to 25,”Psalm 18″:16 to 36,”Proverbs 19″:26

QUOTE: If you harbour,”even for a minute, the act of bitterness or unforgiveness, you are indirectly putting on the nature of satan the devil. Culled from AM I BITTER? By Dr (Mrs) Becky Paul-Enenche.

AMAZING FACT”: The black bear can smell a food source 18 miles away,”and can walk directly to it.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD”: The grace to forgive is released upon you right now in Jesus’ Name. And every consequence of unforgiveness is cancelled by the Blood of Jesus in Jesus’ Name.

[7/23, 6:51 AM] 919063: A truly challenging commandment

Tuesday 23rd July 2019

‘Love each other in the same way I have loved you.’ John 15:12 NLT

Jesus said, ‘I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow’ (John 15:11 NLT)! What are these ‘things’ that you must do to have his joy in life? Jesus tells us in the next verse: ‘This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you’ (John 15:12 NLT). You say, ‘That’s a truly challenging commandment!’ Yes, and you’ll have to do a lot of growing and maturing in order to keep it. But to enjoy the life Jesus wants you to have, you must commit yourself to doing it!

God created all kinds of people with different temperaments and personalities, so clearly he loves variety. When God made the first person he said, ‘It was good.’ So not only are there varieties of people, but there’s ‘good’ in everybody and you’re supposed to look for it. Much of our unhappiness in life is caused by people not being what we want them to be ordoing what we want them to do. What’s the answer? How can you enjoy each day if you’re going to have to deal with annoying people? By making up your mind to love them. You don’t have to like their ways, but you have to love them in spite of their ways. When you think about it, that’s how God treats you, right?

Here’s a key to loving annoying people: annoying people are usually annoyed about something in their life. When you treat the source of their pain, they’ll begin to feel better and treat you better.

[7/23, 6:52 AM] 919063: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Tuesday, 23rd July, 2019

“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed”.
Acts 19:20 KJV

When you begin to speak the Word in any situation, it has a way of coming against satanic confrontations. The Word will grow mightily and eventually prevail. We see that example when Satan came to tempt Jesus in the wilderness. Jesus kept speaking the Word. He didn’t allow the devil to have the final word. Whether it looked like it or not, He kept on speaking. And the scripture says He shut down the devil until Satan left Him and angels came to minister to Him. That is the template for us to follow.

Shut up devil! Get out of my life. Sickness is not permitted in my house. Disease is not permitted in our home. My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. It is not the temple of sickness. That is how to deal with the devil.

The book of Romans 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you”.

Therefore, I curse every symptom of ailment in your body. I curse every disease, every complication and every demonic force that has attacked your health.  Let every cell, every tissue and every organ that the enemy has attacked be restored by the power of the Holy Ghost. There shall be creative miracles in your body.  Your lips will testify. What God has put inside you will manifest. Whatever has been an obstacle in your life is removed. The Word of God will prevail over every situation in your life. You shall become all that God has ordained for you to be. You shall fulfill purpose. And it shall be well with you all the days of your life.
