What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 1 Corinthians 14:15

READ: 2 Kings 3:156-17

15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.

16 And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches.

17 For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

1 Samuel 16:23

And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

Worship is the most important part of any meeting with God. Anyone who is not baptized in the Holy Ghost should not be a worship leader. A good voice is not the qualification to be a worship leader. There is difference between a talented singer and the anointed one- which are you?

Worshippers are supposed to glorify God and it takes the Holy Spirit to do this. In John 16:13, Jesus Christ said it is the Holy Spirt who would glorify Him. John 4:23-24 tells us that God is a Spirit and those who worship Him are to worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

While the presence of God is felt when some singers get on the stage and miracles happen, others do so without the same results because they have not connected with the Holy Spirit. Our spirits are lifted when singing hymns and choruses- not because they were written by angels but by people who were filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit breathed on them and they wrote what He inspired them to write. The Spirit never dies, that is why hymns are evergreen. When next you are writing a song, remember that the letter kills but the Spirit makes alive (2 Corinthians 3:6).

If you are a chorister, seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit if you are a Pastor, make sure that everyone who climbs on the altar to lead worship is baptized in the Holy Spirit. Let there be no instrumentalist who is not baptized in the Holy Ghost. Worship is like food to God let us be very careful with the kind of food we bring to His table. If there are no instrumentalists, we have a ten-stringed instrument provided by God- our hands. God made voices and hands before musical instruments. If that is the only pure thing you have to offer Him, He is fine with it.

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. Psalm 47:1

The role of a worship leader is not to entertain, but rather, to bring down the power of God.

1. All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
o Refrain:
I surrender all,
I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

2. All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

3. All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel the Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

4. All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

5. All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame;
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to His Name!

SCRIPTURE: And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle,”and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon. 1 Kings 1″:39

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When Heaven announces you,”it is better than the publicity of any public relations organization in the world.

The anointing of God is key to reigning in life; the anointing is key to the throne. Solomon was an example of persons who were lifted to the throne by the anointing.

Solomon was the son of Beersheba, originally the wife of Uriah the Hittite who had an immoral affair with King David. Solomon grew up in an atmosphere of hostility and rejection. No one thought he would be a king. Despite the rejection, God lifted him to the throne by the anointing.

Now, how does the anointing make a person to reign in life?

1. The anointing is a lift that pulls people up.

The anointing moves you from where you are to where God has created for you. When the anointing comes upon you, you get ushered into a realm that is beyond your wisdom, talent and education.

2. The anointing secures your position against opposition.

Every position that is influential must be contestable. And the anointing secures your position against your opposition.

3. The anointing moves you beyond personal limitations and shortcomings to fulfil your destiny.

The anointing moves you from limitations of your history, limitations of lack of ability or talent, etc. to the place of possibilities.

4. The anointing empowers human potentials.

When the anointing comes upon you, your potentials are both unveiled and enhanced.

5. To be anointed is to be announced.

When Heaven announces you, it is better than the publicity of any public relations organization in the world. For thirty years, no one heard the Voice of Jesus, but when the anointing came upon Him, He manifested the power to raise the dead, heal the sick, the blind and the lame.

Beloved, determine to pay the price to get the anointing of God.

REMEMBER THIS”: When Heaven announces you,”it is better than the publicity of any public relations organization in the world.

1. Seek for the anointing of God above anything else

2. Pay any price to get the anointing.

PRAYER: Lord,”let Your Anointing on my life announce me to my generation, in Jesus’ Name

Sunday 22nd March 2020

‘Be kind and compassionate…forgiving each other…as in Christ God forgave you.’ Ephesians 4:32 NIV

Here’s a story every parent needs to read: ‘One day my husband and I got into an argument and ended up yelling at each other. I retreated to the porch and sat with my head in my hands, crying. Our two-year-old overheard the argument. “I love you, Mum,” she said, as she sat beside me and put her arms around me. “I love you, too,” I said. She rested her head on my shoulder, hugging me hard. “I wish you could love my daddy too,” she said. Talk about ripping your heart out! “But I do love your daddy. We just had a disagreement.” At that, my daughter smiled, got up, and walked away. “Where are you going?” I asked her. She replied, “I’m going to tell Daddy you love him!”‘

If you expose your children to your anger, make sure that they’re around when you extend grace and forgiveness to each other. Teach them how to deal with the issue, without attacking the person. Let them know that a difference of opinion can lead to a decision that makes things better for everyone. And that you can be wrong on an issue and still be respected and loved. Often that means teaching them what you yourself were never taught. If that’s the case, learn from the mistakes your parents made and pass that knowledge on to your children. Forgive when you’re hurt, and don’t take your resentments to bed (see Ephesians 4:26). Jesus said you must forgive ‘so that your Father in Heaven may forgive you’ (Mark 11:25 NIV).

Remember, parent, your children watch you!

Your Battles Show The Victories God Has Given You

“For whatever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.” I John 5:4 (KJV)

To appropriate your victory in Christ, you must see things differently. You can’t live all your life exaggerating the power of the enemy and acting as though you are disadvantaged. If you are confronted with a battle, it is because God has already anointed you for victory, you must see it, think it and approach it that way, it is the only way you grow and mature as a Christian.

A lot of believers are babies; how long will you sit with bitterness, hatred, animosity, unfounded rumors, malice, inordinate affections, self-defeat, etc; inasmuch as you are looking for who will pamper, encourage and pat your back, you will as well remain elementary. Whatever comes to face you, face it, because the power to defeat it is already in you; if you think otherwise, you will be defeated. That you are born of God qualifies you a victor, your victory becomes reality by your faith in the truth of God’s Word.

Today, I proclaim my victory in Christ Jesus; I face every challenge facing my family, finances and I, knowing that the power to defeat the same is already in me; thank You LORD, in Jesus’ Name!

If you are confronted with a battle, it is because God has already anointed you for victory.
Good Morning.

[3/22, 12:44 PM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Sunday, 22nd March, 2020

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Genesis 2:24 (KJV)

If you are in the company of those who believe that a woman’s position is in the kitchen and that she should not talk you need to change. Genesis 1:27 says that God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them. Both the male and female were all created in the image of God and no one is inferior to the other.

When God instituted marriage in Genesis 2:24, He said for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and both of them shall be one flesh. You are one and so if you mistreat your wife because according to the word of God you are one flesh, you are mistreating yourself. Can you imagine slapping yourself? Will that not be insanity?

The scripture says we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Therefore, as believers, we must distinguish ourselves and prove to the world that we are different. We are children of God and we operate by the principles of the kingdom, so we must be the light to the world.

When you realise that your wife is not inferior to you, you will discuss intelligently with her; celebrate her achievements and encourage her to excel in any area of life she is involved in. You will be surprised to know how many people who today are still intimidated by their wife’s success. This ought not to be. Understand that you are one; your success is her success and vice versa, so celebrate her, encourage her, pray for her. Be genuinely interested in the things that give her joy? Today, as we celebrate Mothers, I encourage all husbands to take time out to make them feel special. Love them and express it. Women are moved by words; say sweet things to your wife, not just today only, but every day. Make it a habit and watch your home become the haven you have always desired.
