[7/26, 6:19 AM] 919063: Answer these two questions

Thursday 26th July 2019

‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him.’ Romans 15:13 NIV

First, how is your relationship with God right now? Do you doubt his promises, his call on your life, your ability to hear from him, his pleasure in you, or whether you can do enough to keep him happy? If so, this Scripture is custom-designed for you: ‘May the God of hope fill you with…joy and peace as you trust in him’ (Romans 15:13 NIV). Notice, when you stop trusting God and start trusting in your own efforts, you lose your joy and peace. Have you lost yours today? If you want them back, you must get out of doubt and back into faith!

Second, how is your relationship with yourself right now? One Christian author writes: ‘For years the only relationship I had with myself was one of doubt. I doubted my decisions, my appearance, whether I was saying or doing the right thing…whether I was in any way pleasing God, or anybody else. I knew I wasn’t pleased with myself, so how could God or anybody else be pleased with me? Those years of misery are behind me, because now I know God’s grace covers me like a blanket. I know it’s through Jesus alone that I’m made righteous and acceptable to God. What a joy! I was so bound by legalistic religion that I’ll always have to be on guard against it. But now I know how to recognise its symptoms.’

Paul writes, ‘Keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed]’ (Galatians 5:1 AMP). Stop doubting your salvation, or yourself, or God!

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
John 8:36

*Bible Reading: John 8:31-36*
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

There are two very important characteristics of a genuine disciple of Jesus Christ which we shall be reflecting on today. The first of these is knowledge of the truth. The Truth is no other person than the Lord Jesus Christ. He declared Himself to be The Truth in John 14:6, saying:

“………I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

He further declared that the word of God in truth, thereby indicating that He is the Word of God (John 17:17), John 1:1-12). By implication, whoever rejects the word of God rejects Jesus Christ, and whoever rejects Jesus Christ rejects the Truth. Through this principle, we know those who are genuine disciples of Jesus Christ. Real disciples of Christ accept the infallible word of God as the truth, which no accent or modern philosophy can change. Speaking on the constancy of God’s word, the Lord said in Luke 21:33:

“ Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”

He further declared in John 6:63b:

“the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

True disciples of Jesus Christ are known by their lifestyles which reflect God’s word. Today, many who call themselves disciples of Jesus Christ pick and choose which of Jesus’ Words they would live by. Some even say that if Jesus had to live in our time, He would reverse many of His teachings! What a lie from the pit of hell! If you want to finish your Christian race in heaven, beware of such people, because they will try to mislead you. Into believing their falsehood.

A second characteristic of genuine disciples of Jesus Christ is that they are free from the bondage of the devil. When I come across some so-called disciples of the Lord complaining of one form of demonic oppression or the other, I often wonder. Jesus Christ said we shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free. Why then are some disciples not free? They are either ignorant of the truth concerning who they really are, or they are not genuine disciples of the Lord in the first place (Hosea 4:6). Beloved, I counsel you to re-examine your position as a disciple of Christ and find out if there is any missing link between you and the Master, subjecting you to any form of bondage. If this is the case, quickly do something about it today. Freedom from every form of oppression is your inheritance in Christ. Claim it now!

Father, I lay hold of the freedom that Christ has purchased for me, and I claim total liberty from every form of devilish oppression in Jesus’ Name.

• Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus
Daily let me go;
Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,
More of grace to know.

Oh, deeper yet, I pray,
And higher every day,
And wiser, blessed Lord,
In Thy precious, holy Word.

• Deeper, deeper, blessed Holy Spirit,
Take me deeper still,
Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,
And His perfect will.

• Deeper, deeper! though it cost hard trials,
Deeper let me go!
Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,
Let me fruitful grow.

• Deeper, higher, every day in Jesus,
Till all conflict past,
Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image
Perfected at last.

• Deeper, deeper in the faith of Jesus,
Holy faith and true;
In His pow’r and soul exulting wisdom
Let me peace pursue.

SCRIPTURE: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God…. Hebrews 11:3.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The limits of your life and destiny are defined by your faith.

Our anchor Scripture has made it clear that through faith the worlds were framed.

Now,”what is a frame? It is a border or case for enclosing an object like a picture, mirror, etc.; it defines the limit of an object.

So, bigger faith equals bigger frame. What you can achieve or amount to in life is limited by your faith. The limits of life and destiny are defined by faith. So, if the world you live in appears too small and choking; if you feel limited in life, then you must enlarge your faith. The enlargement of your faith equals the enlargement of your life; it equals the enlargement of your results.

There is something I call the Faith Equation. It is simply”: Word Revelation + Heart Conviction + Practical Action = Supernatural Manifestations. This implies that if you want your faith to change level,”you must increase the revelation you see from the Scripture. And there must be increase in the weight of your conviction on what you see from the Scripture, and this must be followed by increase in the level of scriptural actions that you put forth. By the time you combine all these together, your faith will change level and the limit of your life would be expanded.

I see God establish you in a higher realm in life by the instrumentality of your faith, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this”: The limits of your life and destiny are defined by your faith.

1. Believe that God made you to be great,”and impact your world for Him.

2. Never make small plans; expand your visions and plans.

PRAYER: Lord,”thank You for Your limitless plan for my life. I cannot be small in life; I must be everything You created me to be, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING”: 2 Chronicles 17:1 to 18:34,”Romans 9″:25 to 10:13,”Psalm 20″:1 to 9,”Proverbs 20″:2 to 3.

QUOTE: What you believe determines how you behave,”and how you behave determines what you become. Culled from 22 LAWS OF LIFE (Vol.1) by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT”: An eagle can fly carrying a weight 4 times as much as its own body weight.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Every limitation around your life and destiny be dissolved by the power of the Word of God,”in Jesus’ Name.

[7/26, 6:21 AM] +234 807 755 0073: God is in the business of setting people free – morally and spiritually. When the Israelites were in bondage, ‘…they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses’ (Psalm 107:13). Jesus still delivers day after day, and ‘If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed’ (John 8:36). So follow these steps to freedom: (i) Cry out to the Lord. He said, ‘And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart’ (Jeremiah 29:13). The cry of the Israelites was a repeated heart-cry, and God still responds to cries from the heart. Deliverance starts by recognising your total dependence on Him. Instead of trying to handle it all on your own, the Bible says, ‘Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you’ (1 Peter 5:7). (ii) Feed your soul spiritually. Jesus said, ‘I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever…’ (John 6:51). As you feed on God’s Word and share your feelings in prayer, He will lighten your burden and nourish your soul. He came to declare ‘…deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised’ (Luke 4:18). Take time to meditate on God’s Word. Reflect on it until you understand how to apply it to your life. Knowledge without application is useless. Freedom requires feeding daily on the Scriptures, and applying what you learn to your present circumstances. ‘Blessed is the man that…delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night’ (Psalm 1:1-2). Do it each and every day – and be set free!

[7/26, 6:59 AM] 919063: Do you want to get well?

Friday 26th July 2019

‘Do you want to get well?’ John 5:6 NIV

Jesus asked a sick man an unusual question: ‘Do you want to get well?’ For thirty-eight years this man’s condition had immobilised him, bought him the sympathy of others, and perhaps given him a reason to say, ‘I’m not responsible.’ But all of us are responsible for two things: our attitudes and our choices. The fact is we’ve all been hurt in some way. But if you’re still focused on it twenty years later you’re not a victim by circumstance, but by choice.

What exactly is a victim by choice? Someone who thinks negative attention is better than no attention at all! Jesus said, ‘If you are angry with someone, forgive him so that your Father in Heaven will also forgive your sins’ (Mark 11:25 NCV). Those words presuppose someone has hurt you. They also hold you responsible for your reaction to that person. Jesus taught that if you don’t forgive, you can’t receive forgiveness yourself when you need it. Whatever others may have taken from you in the past, if you remain bitter they’ll take more from you in the future. Maybe you’re thinking, ‘If only they’d come back and ask for forgiveness.’ Is that what you’re waiting for? Don’t waste your time!

The key to happiness is in your hands, not theirs. And that key is forgiveness. Are you waiting for someone to say, ‘I forgive you’ before you can forgive yourself? What if they never do? Here’s the formula for freedom: (1) Apologise if you need to. (2) Make amends if you can. (3) Forgive yourself. (4) Move on. Do you want to get well? These are the steps.

*The Day of Christ and His Saints*

_Hebrews 1:1-2 (GNB), Acts 2:17_

_In the past God spoke. . .many times and in many ways through the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son. He is the one through whom God created the universe, the One whom God has chosen to possess all things at the end”.

*And It shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams._

After Jesus’ resurrection, His disciples inquired from him as to whether it was finally time to restore the kingdom to Israel. In response, He told them that it was the time for them to be filled with His Spirit so that they could be His powerfull witnesses in all the earth, Acts 1:6-8. Shortly after Jesus said we would do greater works because He was going to the Father, He began to speak about the coming of the Holy Spirit to live in us, John 14:12-17. In John 16:7 (AMP), Jesus confirmed that it was for our advantage that He go to the Father so that the Holy Spirit could come to us. Like we studied yesterday, in these times, God wants us to focus our attention on Jesus. This is one major thing that the Holy Spirit does for us. He helps us to focus on Christ and He reveals Christ to us, John 16:13-15. God wants you to continuously experience the advantage of His Spirit in your life!

We are not led by prophets, we are led by the Spirit. Romans 8:14 says “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. You can hear God’s voice yourself. Prophets and spiritual leaders teach us how to hear and follow God and they confirm the things that God speaks to us, which must always be in line with the revelation of Christ. The Bible says, “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the ‘equipping of the saints’ for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the’ stature of the fullness of Christ,” Eph.4:11 -14 (NKJV).

Heavenly Father, I thank You for making me an ambassador of Christ and for filling me with Your great power through Your Spirit.
