morning devotions

And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? Out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress? 2Kings 6:27

READ: Psalm 121:1-3

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

I once told my children that, based on human experience, life is generally believed to be hard and full of sorrows. A combination of factors may be responsible for this. First among these is found in 1 Peter 5:8: “…your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” Furthermore, Genesis 3:17 says “…cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it..”

The implication of these passage on unsaved people is so great that Job 14:1 had to say “Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.” For the above reasons, every human being needs divine help and support. In the name that is above all others, you will receive divine help to carry on in life. Isaiah 41:10 says:

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Yes, our God is ever ready to help in times of trouble, but many Christians seem to take this for granted until things begin to get out of hand. Whenever you are struggling with sin or addicted to a bad habit, when you find yourself moving in cycles of poverty and sickness or delayed fulfilment of prophesies; it is time to seek divine help. Remember that only God’s help gives permanent solutions to human problems. Therefore, in line with Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” you must first obtain mercy. Genuinely give your life to Christ, meditate on God’s word at all times (Joshua 1:8-9) and depend completely on the Holy Spirit to access divine help. This is the secret of my success in life and ministry as the General Overseer of the RCCG. I cannot thank God enough for the tremendous help I always enjoy from Him. I pray the Lord will send divine help to you today in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, please let Your divine help be available to me always, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 28-31.

1. Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

o Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

2. Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love.

3. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow—
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

The Power Of Prayer Altar Part 2.

FOCUS: Mystery Of Prayer Altar.

John 5:26-27 (KJV) For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

In the law of territory, no entity can enter into another territory without configuration to the nature of that territory. In the above scriptures, Jesus Christ has authority to execute judgement as a son of man and not as a son of God, because the earth is given to man and the gift of God is without repentance.

Psalms 115:16 (AMP) The heavens are the Lord’s heavens, but the earth has He given to the children of men.

Romans 11:29 (KJV) For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

The same way the devil and his agents can’t operate without the co-operation of man. Therefore, an altar is a supernatural system of authorization for interaction between the realm of the spirit and the natural. This is applicable to both the supernatural of God and that of the devil.

Altar can be a physical structure like in the days of old where stones were put together. It can also be an institution such as a dedicated temple (church). Example of this temple was in Jerusalem in the days of Solomon.

2 Chronicles 6:20 (KJV) That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.

Many years after a decree was signed in Babylon that no one should pray to any god, Daniel remembered the covenant of altar in Jerusalem and he looked towards Jerusalem and prayed. At the end, the lions could not handle him.

The ultimate plan of God is for all His children to be transformed into altars so that through us, He can manifest His power and greatness to the whole world. Prayer is the channel that transforms an individual into an altar. That is, any one that has contact with the person can gain access to the realm of the spirit for an intervention. Samuel was such a person, any one that had contact with him had a change of story: Elisha was such an altar that even at death, his bones quickened a dead man back to life 2Kngs 13:20-21. Jesus Christ as a son of man; the woman with the issue of blood touched his garment and her twelve years affliction disappeared.Mark 5:25-26.

Apostle Paul, Peter and others manifested the same dimension. Peter’s shadow healed many, handkerchief from Paul carried the supernatural. This is still continuing in our time in the form of mantle. It is my prayer that your life will become an activator to spiritual activities that will be bringing healing to nations and families.

James 5:16 (AMP)”…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available.”

1. Consistent and Persistent in Prayer.

The more you stay in the place of prayer, the more you are being transformed to a channel (altar) for a spiritual transaction. Jesus prayed all the night and the outcome was extraordinary signs and wonders.

Luke 6:12 (KJV) And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

We must pray to be translated into a spiritual house whereby we become channels of supernatural manifestation of the power of God.

1 Peter 2:5 (KJV) “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house…”

One of the greatest battles every believer must fight to the end is the battle of consistency in prayer. Consistent practice of prayer will transform you into an altar. The more you pray, the greater you express the power and presence of God.

1. Thank you Father for granting me access to the mystery of altar of prayer in the mighty name of Jesus!

2. Psalms 141:2 (KJV) Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

O Lord my God, let my prayer be set forth as a sweet incense before you in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. O Lord my God, put on me the garment of prayer in the mighty name of Jesus!

4. O Lord my God, let my prayer transform me into a spiritual altar that will be a channel for the manifestation of your power in Jesus mighty name!

5. O Lord my Father, via my prayers, transform me into a channel of solution to my generation in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Judges 6:25 (AMP) That night the Lord said to Gideon, Take your father’s bull, the second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal that your father has and cut down the Asherah that is beside it;

Every satanic altar raised in my family and community that is limiting my manifestation crash in the mighty name of Jesus!

7. Every altar limiting my community from moving forward is destroyed in the mighty name of Jesus!

8. O Lord, let your fire come upon all altars of delay, barenness, poverty, sickness and stagnation in my life and community in the mighty name of Jesus!

9. Isaiah 44:25 (KJV) “That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad…”

O Lord, let irreversible madness come upon all diviners and enchanters in my family, office, environment and community in Jesus mighty name!

10. Psalms 27:9 (KJV) Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

O Lord my Father, do not hide your face from me in the hour of need in Jesus mighty name!

11. Psalms 31:16 (KJV) Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies’ sake.

O Lord, make your face to shine on me and be gracious unto me in the mighty name of Jesus!

12. 1 Chronicles 12:22 (KJV) For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.

O Lord my God, send helpers of destiny to my life in Jesus mighty name!

13. O Lord my God, let my helpers locate me. Open my eyes to see them when they come in Jesus mighty name!

14. Matthew 2:11 (KJV) And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

O Lord my Father, send destiny helpers that will open their treasures for me in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for the grace to pray and answers to all my prayers.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow,
Stay strong,
Stay safe.

[10:41 AM, 4/18/2020] Emm: Speaking God’s Word

Saturday 18th April 2020

‘The word…in your mouth.’ Romans 10:8 NCV

If you’re not careful, it’s easy to speak words of doubt that contradict what God says in his Word. Paul writes, ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim)’ (Romans 10:8 ESV). So, speak God’s Word over your situation and watch him go to work on your behalf, setting things right for you.

The word ‘confession’ comes from the Greek word homologia, which means ‘to come into agreement with, or say the same thing’. That means you must come into agreement with God’s Word and learn to say what he says, no matter how bad things look at the time. If it’s not what God is saying, it’s counterproductive. But if it is, your words become powerful weapons. The Bible says, ‘How forceful are right words’ (Job 6:25 NKJV)! This word ‘forceful’ comes from the Hebrew word marats which means ‘to press’. Just like a king’s signet ring pressed his seal of authority onto a document, your confession of faith seals the matter before God. Jesus said: ‘Assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore…whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them’ (Mark 11:23-24 NKJV).

Don’t just speak to God about your mountain – speak to your mountain using God’s Word! When you make God’s Word your word, your mountain will begin to move.
