FOCUS: Deeper Purpose Of Prayer Part 2

Micah 3:8 (KJV) But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

James 5:16 (AMP) … The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available .

Our prayers transcend our material needs. Prayer is not only a means of getting things done, but it is also a channel of spiritual empowerment that enables us to fulfil God’s purpose on earth.

Luke 4:14 (KJV) And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

Jesus was in the carpenter’s shop for almost thirty years without any significant achievement but when He separated Himself unto the Father in forty days prayer, the world is yet to recover from His impact. He returned from the mountain of prayer in the power of the Spirit and was able to commence his purpose on earth.

Beloved, no divine agenda can deliver on its own accord, it will always require spiritual empowerment to dislodge whatever might be resisting you.

Joshua 18:2-3 (KJV) And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.
And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?

Because it is written does not mean it will fulfil automatically, you need to be empowered in order to fulfil God’s purpose in your life. Beloved, there are realms of lifting in life such as political office, co-operate management, business, sport etc that you can never cross without an alignment with a spirit either good or bad spirit. Since we all know that whatever the devil gives is at the expense of your soul. The only authentic power that will not destroy your soul at the end is the power of God.

Proverbs 10:22 (KJV) The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

For you to be able to fulfil destiny and not be a prey, you must pray yourself into power.

Romans 8:26 (KJV) Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Groaning means praying.

2 Corinthians 5:1-4 (KJV) For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

We groan (pray) so to be clothed upon by heavenly power so that we’ll take what belongs to us. We are not groaning for bread and butter but for power. Verse three says if you don’t pray you will be naked (Powerless). Prayer clothes us with heavenly authority to fulfil God given purpose for our lives.

It takes spiritual empowerment to fulfil divine agenda. When Jesus was to pay the ultimate price of dying on the cross, His flesh rejected it but He had to pray Himself out of the control of the flesh.

Luke 22:41-44 (KJV) And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Beloved, we all need the power of God to move forward in life. We need to be empowered in order to crush all the gatekeepers that are holding our inheritance. I always have serious concern and pity for all high flyers who are not concerned about their spiritual growth and empowerment.

If you don’t want to be a prey to the forces of wickedness of this world, go for the power of God by praying effectually and consistently.

1. Thank you my father for opening my eyes to see the pathway to fulfilling my destiny.

3. Joshua 17:17 (KJV) And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only:

O Lord my God, deliver me from all forms of oppression in Jesus mighty name.

14. Psalms 118:25 (KJV) Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

O Lord my God, send prosperity into my life in Jesus mighty name.

Thank you Father for the grace to pray and answers to all my prayers.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

See you tomorrow,
Stay strong,
Stay safe.

[4/20, 6:38 AM] Emm: Today ‘be ready’

Monday 20th April 2020

‘I am ready for anything…through him who infuses inner strength into me.’ Philippians 4:13 AMP

The Bible says, ‘Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring’ (Proverbs 27:1 NLT). The truth is, when you wake up every morning you have no idea what will happen to you that day. You hope for a trouble-free day where your expectations and wishes will be fulfilled – but you know from experience this isn’t always the case.

We live in a real world with real problems. Your enemy the devil is real, and he works in every possible way to bring discouragement, fear and failure. Knowing this, the psalmist wrote: ‘If you make the Lord your refuge…no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go…The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honour them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation”‘ (Psalm 91:9-16 NLT).

No matter what comes your way, you must trust that when it arrives God will give you the grace to handle it. Remember, Satan loves to attack those who are in line for God’s blessing – his people. That’s why Paul wrote, ‘I am ready for anything and equal to anything through him who infuses me with inner strength’ (Philippians 4:13 AMP). Inner strength is better than outer strength. Why? Because as long as you remain strong inwardly, you can handle anything that comes against you outwardly and keep moving forward. So today – be ready.

[4/20, 6:38 AM] Emm: WISDOM FOR THE DAY
Monday, 20th April, 2020

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
Psalm 23:6 KJV

The Psalmist was saying I will keep on fellowshipping with God. I have chosen God because of Goodness and Mercy. I have total assurance of His goodness.

That word “surely” means unerringly, without missing, undoubtedly, assuredly, certainly, inevitably, absolutely, admittedly, conclusively, definitely and unshakably. It is a guarantee. David was saying I know that the grace, the goodness and the mercy of God are following me. I will live my life for God.

It is the goodness of God that leads you to repentance. It is not God’s judgment. When you know that God is good to you, it will make you love Him the more. When you understand that He is good to you, some things will become a natural manifestation to you. I heard a story of a bridge that was built in San Francisco, on the west coast of America. The bridge is called the golden bridge. When it was being built, the story says that about 20 people fell from it to their death. Eventually, when the other half of the bridge was to be built, they had to build a safety basket for the workmen. So that when you build and you fall, you fall into the basket. So, when they were building the second half, ten people fell. They fell into the basket. None of them died.

God has guaranteed your protection. God has already put a guarantee for you that no matter what happens to you, He has you covered. I can assure you that you will not fall to your death. Goodness and Mercy are surrounding you. That is why it is important to receive information and revelation. So how did David come to this revelation or conclusion? He said, I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever, it didn’t just come off the curve. It comes by spending time in the Word and fellowshipping with God.
