Morning Devotions

[5/18, 5:28 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Today’s SOD – 2020-05-18

SCRIPTURE: Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk,”O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. Psalm 89″:15

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you cannot be happy,”you can never attract God and if you cannot attract God, you are never qualified for His direction.

It is clear from our anchor Scripture that if you want to attract Divine direction and fulfil God’s purpose for your generation, living in worship and excitement is not negotiable. A life of joy and worship is a non-negotiable requirement in the journey of life and destiny.

To live in depression is to become a candidate for exemption from Divine direction. It is never possible for you to attract the Presence of God which is a prerequisite for Divine direction when you are living in depression. The Presence of God is sustained by the attitude of joy. If you cannot be happy, you can never attract God and if you cannot attract God, you are never qualified for His direction.

An attack on your joy is an attack on Divine direction for your life. An attack on your joy is an attack on your Oil or anointing because the Oil is sustained by joy.  And the devil knows that everything is tied to your joy, so he confronts you all the time with the spell of joylessness.

Please take note of this”: it is not possible to feel low and fly high. Low feeling and high flight do not go together. If you are not joyful,”you can never hear God and if you cannot hear God, you cannot know His direction for your life.

Beloved, if you are a victim of lack of Divine direction, I encourage you today to connect the Presence of God through joy and excitement and the lifestyle of worship. This will guarantee your access to Divine direction in life.

REMEMBER THIS”: If you cannot be happy,”you can never attract God and if you cannot attract God, you are never qualified for His direction.

1. Be positivistic always. Flee from every form of depression.

2. Study the Word of God daily so as to fuel your joy tank.

3. Determine to live a lifestyle of worship to God.

PRAYER: Lord,”I rejoice in You and in Your Word. Help me to access Your Presence in joy through praise and worship, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: Real heartfelt worship will always result in the manifestation of glory. Culled from 365 WISDOM CAPSULES by Dr Paul Enenche

AMAZING FACT: Humans have the same amount of hairs on their bodies as a chimpanzee. Most are useless and so tiny that they are invisible.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: As you proceed in the atmosphere of joy, fresh Divine direction is coming your way in this season, in Jesus’ Name.

[5/18, 5:28 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: MESSAGE FROM:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

FOCUS: *Enjoying Divine Direction by the Word of God.*

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)
[16] *All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:* [17] *That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.*

The word of God is the manual of life. As any product without a manufacturer’s manual might be misused and damaged, so it is with human life. God is our Creator (manufacturer) and the Bible is our life manual. Without it, No one can navigate properly. The most authentic and reliable form of direction is the word of God. Whatever we do in life must be according to the word of God. It is a perfect life manual.

The Bible contains information, revelation and instruction on every issue of life. The world we dwell in is full of so many cruelty and darkness and we need the light of God, which is His word to navigate our ways through darkness.

Psalms 119:9 (MSG) *How can a young person live a clean life? By carefully reading the map of your Word.*

Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
*Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.*

Psalm 132:17 (KJV)
*There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.*

The only solution to darkness is light. When you are armed with the relevant word of God on any specific area, you become a master in that area because His word is the carrier of His wisdom. The more of the Word of God you have , the more wisdom you will manifest. When you have the Word concerning marriage, your marriage must be a model and blissful union. The Word of God is the light of our lives.

John 8:12 (KJV)
*Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.*

We all need light of the word of God to access our glorious destinies in Christ and without it stumbling is inevitable. There are so many instructions for business, politics, literature and history in the word of God than you can find in any other book. Let the Word lead you by acting on it and do all it asks you to do. God designed every instruction in His word to direct your steps in life and to keep you out of danger and errors.

6. Jeremiah 15:16 (KJV)
*Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart…*

7. Psalms 141:4 (NLT) *Don’t let me lust for evil things; don’t let me participate in acts of wickedness. Don’t let me share in the delicacies of those who do evil.*

10. 1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV)

14. Ezekiel 30:15 (AMP) *And I will pour My wrath upon Pelusium, the stronghold of Egypt, and I will cut off the tumult, the prosperity and the population of No or Thebes.*

[5/18, 6:10 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: God and your money (1)

Monday 18th May 2020

‘No good thing will he withhold from those who walk uprightly.’ Psalm 84:11 NKJV

What you believe about God and your money will determine how you pray and what you believe him for. You say, ‘But money is the root of all evil.’ No, the Bible says, ‘The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil’ (1 Timothy 6:10 NKJV). That means if you’re a miser, God won’t give you more. ‘But haven’t some preachers used the Bible to enrich themselves?’ you ask. Absolutely – and you wouldn’t want to stand in their shoes when they answer to God! But don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. The best way to tell if a five-dollar note is counterfeit is to place it beside a genuine one.

So here’s the question: are you looking for a reason to doubt God’s promises, or a reason to believe them? The Bible says, ‘No good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless’ (Psalm 84:11 NIV). We all agree that providing for your family, getting a promotion, educating your children and meeting other people’s needs are all ‘good’ things. So when you ‘do what is right’ before God, you can expect him to bless you. John wrote, ‘Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers’ (3 John 2 NKJV).

Only when our children reach maturity and demonstrate responsibility do we entrust them with the keys to the family car, right? So maturity must precede prosperity. When you demonstrate maturity, you can go to God with confidence, knowing he’ll meet your needs and bless you. Which raises the question: are you growing and maturing spiritually?

MEMORISE : Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. 1st Timothy 4:1

READ : Mark 13:31-37 (KJV)
31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : 2nd Samuel 19-21

“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” Mark 13:33

Jesus is coming soon and although no one knows exactly when (Mark 13:32-33), we know some significant occurrences will mark the end of this age (2nd Timothy 3:1-3). Some of them are already happening and this is why we must watch out for:

* Backsliding: Many men of God are parting from the faith. Even some Christian denominations that started on a Bible-based foundation have derailed. They are succumbing to the pressure from the ‘digital’ world. While about a hundred years ago, it would have been unthinkable for any church to debate whether homosexuality should be considered, today it is a bone of contention. Seduction, fornication, adultery, divorce and other abominable practices are now commonplace not only in vestries but also on the altars. Watch and determine not to look back.

* Wiles of the devil: According to 1st Peter 5:8, the devil is cunning and he wants to deceive unsuspecting and careless believers. He keeps telling the Church, “its is not too bad”; but what is not too bad is still bad. Watch and don’t fall for the trap.

* Temptation: There will be temptations and we have to watch and pray to avoid them (Matthew 26:41) While the spirit is willing, the flesh is weak. You must be armed with the word because it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17).

* False teachers: Not all teachers and prophets who call the name of Christ are genuine (Acts 20:29-30). Watch out as hypocrites have crept into the Church like Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8:13-21.

* The second coming of the Lord: This is the most important of all. 1st Thessalonians 5:6-8 admonishes us not to sleep. Like the wise virgins, we must be awake and prepared.

Perilous times are here; watch, so you will not be a victim of the dangers of the end time.

Father, deliver me in the perilous times. See me through to the end, in the mighty name of Jesus.
