His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
John 2:5

*Bible Reading: John 2:1-11*
1And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

Miracles are simply God’s supernatural interventions in the natural word, which suspends the laws of nature. God performs miracles to show His sovereignty over His created world in other words, through miracles, He shows that none of His creations can stand in his way whenever He decided to do anything. For example, contrary to the laws of nature. Sarah got pregnant and had a child after she had passed the age of child bearing (Genesis 21:1-8). Unfortunately, many people who desire miracles are not ready to fulfil the requirements that bring about their manifestation, and so their desire remains a mirage. How do we unlock the door to the miraculous? The topic of today’s devotional gives insights into this. Firstly, we must live a life that is pleasing to God if we want His supernatural interventions in our lives, and we please God when we live by faith. The Bible categorically says in Hebrews 11:6a:

“But without faith it is impossible to please him:”

The word “faith” has a deeper meaning than many people imagine. For example, it is a lack of faith in the One who placed them in the Garden of Eden and told them what to eat and what not to eat. They doubted God’s integrity and believed the lie of the devil, thereby falling straight into sin. Due to the presence of sin, God’s supernatural intervention, which hitherto made things happen easily for them, departed from their lives. Beloved, Jesus says to you today, “Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22).

Another key which unlocks the miraculous is obedience to the word of God. As a matter of fact, disobedience is the by-product of having no faith. When a person lacks faith in God, the tendency is for the fellow to disobey God with impunity. You can hardly obey the fellow you do not have faith in. It is therefore ironic that the miracle-working God is being disobeyed by those seeking His miracles. From experience, Jesus’ mother knew the link between obedience and walking in the miraculous, and so she said in John 2:5b:

“Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”

When the servants did what Jesus Christ instructed them to do, they experienced the miraculous. Other examples abound in the Bible which show the connection between obedience and miracles on the other. The story of Naaman is another good example in this regard (2 Kings 5:1-14). Beloved, if you desire to open the door t the miraculous in your life, have faith in the God of miracles and obey Him completely.

Exercise your faith in God today to obtain your desired miracle from Him

Judges 12-14
Ezekiel 25:8-26:6

1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

SCRIPTURE: Thy word have I hid in mine heart,”that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119″:11

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not possible to live in the Word and still live in sin.

Sometime ago,”a man testified in one of our Church services about a night revelation he had concerning rapture. He said that initially he was raptured but as he was going mid-air, all of a sudden, the wrong thought that was on his mind before he slept sprang up and began to weigh him down. He descended and landed on the ground immediately, and then saw millions of people trooping to hell. He was in regret, but thank God it was a dream.

Many people are too busy with the things of this life. They feed their mind with wrong thoughts and materials but have no time for the Word of God. The truth is, when the Word of God builds your faith, it will also enhance your holiness because it is not possible to live in the Word and still live in sin.

Beloved, if you remember to eat your food, remember to take in the Word of God also. What food is to your body is what the Word of God is to your spirit.  Never be too busy for the Word of God. Ensure that the Word of God is entering your spirit on a consistent basis. A buoyant spirit will produce a vibrant faith, and a vibrant faith equals a vibrant life.

Remember this”: It is not possible to live in the Word and still live in sin.

1. Put the reading and studying of the Word of God into your daily schedule.

2. Consciously allow the word to shape your life and thought.

PRAYER: O LORD,”I receive the grace to guard my heart against sinful materials. Let Your Word saturate my heart so I can live for You, O LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING”: 2 Chronicles 29:1 to 36,”Romans 14″:1 to 23,”Psalm 24″:1 to 10,”Proverbs 20″:12

QUOTE: When your heart is out of control,”your life is out of control. Culled from 15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT”: There are stones in Romania called Trovants that grow and multiply after heavy rain.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Step forward into the realm of complete life transformation by the word in this season in Jesus name          **************************************************************************

[7/31, 7:22 AM] 919063: Consecrate yourself to God

Wednesday 31st July 2019

‘Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.’ Joshua 3:5 NIV

On the threshold of the Promised Land, God said to his people, ‘Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you’ (Joshua 3:5 NIV). When you consecrate yourself to God he will do things in you, with you, for you and through you that will amaze you. We want to do amazing things for God, and that’s noble. But we’ve got it backwards. God wants to do amazing things for us. That’s his job, not ours. Our job is consecration. And consecration is more than going to church, keeping the Ten Commandments, tithing, sharing your faith, repeating the sinner’s prayer, volunteering for a ministry, raising your hands in worship and going on a mission trip. All those are good things, but that isn’t consecration.

The utensils used in temple worship were considered ‘consecrated’. In other words, they were set apart for the exclusive use of God. They were devoted to his service. Consecration means dethroning yourself and enthroning Jesus as Lord of your life. It’s the complete divestiture of all self-interest. It’s giving God veto power. It’s surrendering all of you to all of him. It’s a simple recognition that every second of your time, every ounce of your energy, and every penny of your money is a gift from God and for God. Consecration is an ever-deepening love for Jesus, a childlike trust in your heavenly Father and a blind obedience to the Holy Spirit.

So the word for you today is – consecrate yourself to God.

*Preparing for Christ’s Coming 2*

_Luke 19:12-13, Revelation 22:12-13_
_He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. *And, behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last._

Yesterday, we came to the understanding that if we are eagerly looking forward to Christ’s coming, it will be reflected m tne way we live our lives. When we are really looking forward to Christ’s coming, we will be compelled to know Him more and to become more like Him, Phil.3:l 0. We will want to live right (1 John 3:3), please Him and complete every assignment He has given us; for we shall give account to Him and be rewarded for our works, 1 Cor.3:13-14. We will want to focus on Him more and more so that we can manifest His glory. We will yield ourselves more and more to His Spirit. We will stay strong in faith. We will give ourselves to prayer, studying the word and preaching the gospel.

As we keep and purify ourselves, we are making ourselves ready and available for God to use us, 2 Tim. 2:21. The coming of Christ is not a time for us to escape from this world, but a time for Jesus to come and reap the harvest of the souls we have saved and impacted for His Kingdom. In John 17:15, Jesus indicated that He was not praying for God to take us out of the world but for God to keep us from the evil in the world and its systems. He said this because He was leaving us here to fulfil an assignment. What are you doing with the various resources and abilities that God has given you? The earth is awaiting our manifestation. In the same way Bezaleel was able to creatively contribute towards the crafting of the tabernacle by. the Spirit of God that was in Him (Exo. 31:1-5), may God use you by His Spirit to craft things that will advance His Kingdom. May Jesus find you faithfully using them to serve and carry out His purpose for your life then He returns.

I receive Your grace, Dear Lord, to prepare for Christs coming by knowing you more, living holy and faithfully doing your work.
