SCRIPTURE: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your life is in order only when your priorities are in order.

Wisdom is a critical requirement for a profitable life,”both in time and in eternity. Wisdom is the mystery behind every outstanding life, spiritually and otherwise. And the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom as we can see from our anchor scripture.

It is important to take note of the following points concerning the wisdom for living a profitable life”:

a. Your life is in order only when your priorities are in order.

The first priority of a man should be God. Next is his family,”then work, rest and recreation, etc. But where other things come before God, it is an inversion of priority. That is a life out of order.

b. Your life is out of order when your priorities are out of order.

For a person whose life must be in order, God must be first in his life. A disordered life is a product of disordered priorities.

c. Until you get it right with God, you never get it right in this life and in the life to come.

God remains the number one priority of man both in time and in eternity.

d. Until you are on track with God, you will be out of track with life.

To be out of touch with God is to be out of touch with life.

e. Until first things are put first in your life, everything else will be out of order.

f. Wisdom is never in place where the fear of God is out of place.

g. It is foolish to live independent of God.

Living as if you are the owner of your life is a disaster.

h. It is unprofitable to live with self as the centre of life.

Beloved, if your desire is to access wisdom from God, then it is the fear of the Lord that gives you access.

REMEMBER THIS”: Your life is in order only when your priorities are in order.

1. Always live with the fear of God.

2. Make the reading,”studying of the Word and praying a priority in life.

PRAYER”: Lord,”I ask for Your help to order my life according to Your perfect plan for me. Grant me the wisdom to live right, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: Favour is a product of wisdom and disfavour is a product of ‘unwisdom’. Culled from WISDOM – LIFE’S GREATEST NECESSITY by Dr Paul Enenche

AMAZING FACT: The African lion is bigger than the Asiatic lion and it’s the second largest cat,”after the tiger.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION”: Father, I ask for the baptism of the Spirit of wisdom in this season, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

[5/22, 5:22 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: MESSAGE FROM:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Leviticus 9:6 (KJV) *And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.*

The foundation of our relationship with God is obedience. Without total and absolute obedience to God, we cannot walk with God and enjoy the best He prepares for us. Also, the foundation of Christianity rests on our obedience to God.

Jesus came down in flesh, lived and fulfilled His earthly ministry on the platform of obedience to the father.

Hebrews 5:8
*Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered.*

Obedience is doing the word of God and living by the leading of the Holy Ghost. God has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness but it is our degree of obedience that connects us to all the benefits that accompany salvation.

Job 36:11
*If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.*

Isaiah 1:19
*If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land*

If you are willing to walk in obedience to God’s word and uphold the entire Christian values, you will eat the good in the land. All the scriptural promises and blessings are tied to our obedience. Without obedience, one is disconnected from the blessings of God. Obedience is the hallmark to undeniable glory.

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV)
[1] *And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:*
[2] *And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.*

Leviticus 9:6
*And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.*

The above scripture says until you do what is commanded, you cannot see and enjoy the glory of God. Every blessing that requires making life better and fulfilling are tied to something to be done before you can access them.

Deuteronomy 11:27
*A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day*

The greatest blessings in life come from obeying God. All the commandments of God are for our good and benefits. Obedience and performance of His will make His promises a reality in our lives . God knows your future more than you know your past, so, obeying Him will surely take you to your prepared places. Though, some of God’s commandments may not be in agreement with your personal will but you still need to obey. For instance, when God commands you to forgive someone who deliberately hurt you, it might not be easy, but you need to obey because it is for your good.

1 John 5:3 (KJV) *… that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.*

Forgiveness is greater than revenge and by so doing, you too can easily secure forgiveness from the Father for all your errors.

Matthew 6:12, 14
[12] *And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.*
[14] *For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.*

God is actively interested in our lives as His children but it is our level of obedience that regulates His involvement.

Stay connected in obedience .

[5/22, 5:22 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: God and your money (5)

Friday 22nd May 2020

‘He will give you everything you need.’ Matthew 6:33 NLT

When it comes to money, the Bible teaches that:

(1) God wants you to have enough to meet any size of need you may face. Think about it: employees are mainly concerned with one thing – getting their salary. Employers, on the other hand, have a bigger need. They must have enough money to cover everybody’s salary. And here’s the good news for both employer and employee: ‘Your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him’ (Matthew 6:8 NLT)! (2) Many times God will send you to a particular place or person in order to meet your need. During a time of severe famine when people in Israel were dying of starvation, God said to the prophet Elijah, ‘Turn eastward, and hide thyself by the Brook Cherith…I have commanded the ravens to feed you there’ (1 Kings 17:3-4 NKJV). And that worked well for a time – until ‘the brook dried up, because there had been no rain’ (1 Kings 17:7 NKJV). God arranged it that way because he will never permit you to depend on anybody or anything other than him. He will dry up your ‘brook’ in order to send you back to your true source – himself. Here’s what God told Elijah next: ‘Arise, go to Zarephath…and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to provide for you’ (1 Kings 17:9 NKJV). God used unlikely things like ravens, a brook and a poor widow to meet Elijah’s needs.

Stop trying to figure God out! Trust the one who ‘hangs the earth on nothing’ (Job 26:7 NLT) to use whomever, whatever, wherever and whenever to meet your needs.
