Morning Devotions

SCRIPTURE: Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do,do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. Ecclesiastes 9:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To live well is to give life everything you have got.

Life on the earth is terminal, not eternal. Time hurries you into the future without your permission. Tomorrow will come whether you are ready for it or not. The best time to use what you have is while you are alive. Any knowledge or wisdom you have is to be deployed while you are alive.

To live well is to give life everything you have got. Whatever you are doing per time, give it everything you have got. To live excitedly, you must live responsibly. In order to do what God wants you to do with your life within the space of time you have, you must live impactfully.

Now, what is the profit of living responsibly?

From the experience of Joseph in Egypt, we can see the following :

1. Responsibility brings opportunity.

Responsibility will do for you what job cannot do. Those who work only for salary never gain opportunities in life.

2. Responsibility brings authority.

A responsible person will attain authority in life. If God sees that you are qualified for promotion, nothing can stop you. Productivity counts far more than longevity.

3. Responsibility unveils possibilities.

What does not appear possible becomes possible because someone is responsible.

4. Responsibility is the way of results.

Responsibility is the assignment of man but the result is the assignment of God.

5. Responsibility is the way of royalty.

Responsibility confers upon the responsible, royalty and dominion.

Beloved, make up your mind to be responsible. Embrace the lifestyle of diligence and you shall fulfil your days on earth in Jesus Name.

REMEMBER THIS : To live well is to give life everything you have got.

1. Never evade responsibilities.

2. Carry out your responsibilities faithfully in order to reap the benefits.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to carry out my assignments and responsibilities faithfully, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: If you desire a future, do not seek status, seek service. Culled from CAREER AND WORKPLACE WISDOM by Dr Paul Enenche

AMAZING FACT: An adult Hippopotamus needs to resurface every 3–5mins to breathe. The process of surfacing and breathing is automatic, and even a hippo sleeping underwater will rise and breathe without waking.

PROPHETIC WORD/DECLARATION: Proceed into your realms of authority and royalty as you embrace responsibility in Jesus’ Name.

[5/23, 5:23 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. Isaiah 65:20

READ: Isaiah 65:20-23

20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.

Are you aware that your strength can remain intact even as you grow old? According to Deuteronomy 34:7, Moses was One hundred and twenty years old, yet had 20/20 vision and was not weak.

Isaiah 65:20 says young child will die at the age of one hundred years. Just imagine that if in the church when we say, “We lost a child” we are talking of someone aged One Hundred years. That is the promise of God. Joshua 14:10, 11 says:

“…and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.”

In the verse above, Caleb said, at eighty-five he was still as strong as he was at forty. He could still fight battles! Compare your age to that of his and see if it is normal to feel weak. God will renew your youth like the eagle’s in the mighty name of Jesus (Psalm 103:5)!

No matter your age, sickness has no place in your body because it is still the temple of God (1Corinthians 6:19). The devil has deceived many of us with the idea that certain sicknesses are typical for old people. It is a big lie. My Bible tells me that I am healed by the stripes of Jesus. It didn’t say l will enjoy the healing when I am fifty. It will work for me all through life. So, I decree: no sickness can stay in your body in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Now, with age comes wisdom and discipline – wisdom to eat only what is right and discipline to stay away from eating anything that would hurt you. As an adult with experience, the effects of diabetes you have seen should keep you from consuming sugar. You should have seen people die of cancer so much so that you know consuming organic food is better than processed ones with chemicals in them.

If you are faithful in playing your part to stay healthy, just leave the rest to God. He is faithful to keep you strong.

Let’s pray for our elders that as their days are, so shall their strength be.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 108-110

1 Onward, Christian soldiers,
Marching as to war,
Looking unto Jesus
Who is gone before;
Christ, the royal Master;
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See, His banners go!

Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
Looking into Jesus
Going on before.

2 At the name of Jesus
Satan’s host doth flee;
On then, Christian soldiers,
On to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver
At the shout of praise:
Brothers, lift your voices,
loud your anthems raise!

3 Like a mighty army
Moves the church of God:
Brothers, we are treading
Where the saints have trod;
We are not divided;
All one body we,
One in hope and doctrine,
One in charity.

4 Crowns and thrones may perish,
Kingdoms rise and wane;
But the Church of Jesus
Constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never
‘Gainst the Church prevail;
We have Christ’s own promise,
Which can never fall.

5 Onward then, ye people!
Join our happy throng;
Blend with ours your voices
In the triumph song.
“Glory, praise and honor,
Unto Christ the King;
This through countless ages
Men and angels sing.

[5/23, 5:23 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: MESSAGE FROM:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

God’s infinite plan for our lives and future is so amazing, so wonderful that we will forget all our present trials if we can connect to Him via our obedience to His will. Beloved, it is worth every effort, everything and every price to obey God and do His will. He rewards us over and beyond what we could ever think or desire. Below are some of the benefits of obedience:

Amos 3:3
*Can two walk together, except they be agreed?*

Disobedience separates man from God but a single step of obedience brings us into uncommon communion and fellowship with God.

1 John 1:7
*But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.*

When you do what God asks you to do, He will abide with you and this will culminate into a great communion.

John 8:29
*And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.*

When you are constantly doing His will, His presence will always abide with you. And when His presence is with you nothing can hinder your progress; for mountains skip at His presence.
Also, His presence guarantees rest on every side.

Exodus 33:14 (KJV) *And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.*

The cheapest way to enjoy the supernatural is to do what God tells you to do at a particular time. Some instructions might not make much sense to you but a step of obedience will produce the miraculous. He asked the disciples to fill the waterpots with water. I believe there were particles in the water because the pots were not meant for drinking water, but according to the *“manner of purifying of the Jews,”* it was for washing of hands, legs and face.

John 2:6-7
[6] *And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.*
[7] *Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.*

He asked them to serve the governor of the feast. He did not pray openly or asked them to taste the water. Their act of obedience turned the water into wine. Obedience is the secret of all signs and wonders. If God asks you to get up from a sick bed, all you just need do is to get up and you will experience the helping hand of God. All miracles, signs and wonders recorded in the scriptures were all contingent on obedience; nothing was automatically fulfilled. Obey and you will receive your miracle. To Naaman, he said dip yourself seven times in river Jordan and be healed. If Naaman had done it six times, he would have lived and died as a leper. Beloved, anytime your life is lacking signs and wonders, look for scriptures, not just to quote, but to obey and the supernatural will be your normal way of life.

John 2:5 (KJV)… *Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.*
