TOPIC: WISDOM BIRTHED BY THE FEAR OF GOD
SCRIPTURE: And unto man he said,”Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. Job 28″:28
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To fear God is to connect wisdom; it is to access Divine secrets.
Sometime ago,”I read a humorous story about an atheist who went to a court in Florida, USA to demand for special holidays for atheists. He said that Christians have Christmas and other holidays, the Jews have the Passover holiday and others, etc. Why then is there no holiday for atheists, people who believe there is no God? The judge said that there is already a day for them – April 1st which is humorously referred to as fools’ day is a holiday for atheists. Now, this is because only fools say there is no God (Psalm 53″:1). The judge told the atheist,”“April 1st is the day for you people so mark that day and celebrate it.” And the case ended.
Beloved, the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and the absence of His fear is foolishness. And wisdom is access to Divine secrets. That is why Psalm 25″:14 says,”The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him…. So, to fear God is to connect wisdom; it is to access Divine secrets. When you fear God, there are things He will show you that He cannot show others who don’t fear Him.
Now, what is the fear of the Lord?
1. The Hatred of Evil
The fear of the Lord is the hatred of evil. Proverbs 8″:13 says,”The fear of the Lord is to hate evil”: pride,”and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Whenever you fear God, you cannot enjoy evil. You cannot be comfortable with evil.
2. Obedience to God’s Commandments
The fear of the Lord is the keeping of God’s commandments (Ecclesiastes 12″:13). Obedience to God’s commandments equals the fear of the Lord and the fear of the Lord equals wisdom. Obeying instructions from God,”fulfilling His assignments on the earth like soul winning, giving to the less privileged, giving for kingdom advancement, etc. are all functions of the fear of the Lord. They are keys to Divine wisdom.
3. Existence in the Consciousness of His Presence
The fear of the Lord is existence in the consciousness of His Presence. When you fear God, you behave as if God is virtually with you wherever you are (Psalm 14″:5).
When this fear of God is established,”then access to the wisdom of God can be guaranteed, and after we have accessed the wisdom of God, we can exist in blessing and stardom. This shall be your portion in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this”: To fear God is to connect wisdom; it is to access Divine secrets.
1. Assess yourself; is there any instruction that God gave you that you have not yet carried out? Go ahead and do it.
2. Live in the fear of the Lord.
3. Express hatred for any form of evil around your life or in your environment.
FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING,”GET THIS MESSAGE”: THE NECESSITY OF WISDOM.

[6/22, 5:28 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL
DATE: MONDAY 22ND JUNE 2020.
THEME: BABY CHRISTIANS NEED TO GROW FIRST.
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:2
READ: Ephesians 4:11-16
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Today, we’re looking at young Christians-young by virtue of their level of maturity in Christ. Some people come to Christ and begin to nurse good desires, far beyond the capability of their spiritual maturity e.g. immediately desiring the office of a pastor, evangelist or minister. While such desires are good, they are ill-timed for fresh converts.
The first responsibility of young believers after becoming born again is to desire the sincere milk of the word so that they may grow to maturity (1 Peter 2:2).
Physically speaking, when a baby desires to eat the same food as an adult, he/she desires what could be harmful. In a similar vein, when a young Christian desire to be a pastor or an evangelist overnight, it spells trouble that may hinder the growth of that individual.
Children being born into God’s family through the preaching of the gospel must take time to study the word of God and be well-grounded in it. 1 John 3:1 & 3 says:
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not… And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”
The death of the word of God is menace against the present-day Church. We make a lot of noise in our preaching, without a strong basis in the word of God. I call such sermons “Thunder Without Rain.” Even when some believers yearn for the word, it is nowhere to be found on many of our pulpits. May the Lord elevate the ministry of the word in the body of Christ, in the mighty name of Jesus.
May we be found worthy if the trumpet should sound today, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, please help me to continue to grow in Christ, in the mighty name of Jesus.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Kings 12-14
AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE
HYMN 12: I AM THINE O LORD.
1. I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.
2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!
4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.
Remember: ‘There Is No Problem Without Solution; Jesus Is The Solution To All Problems.
[6/22, 5:32 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: MESSAGE FROM:
*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,
FOCUS: *Fathers, where art thou?*
Fatherhood is beyond the biological title or just bringing in babies, God the father, is actually looking for men who will be responsible enough to represent Him and bring His divine agenda and purpose to bear on earth.
Genesis 1:27 (KJV)
*So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.*
“Male and female He created them.”
This is not just about mode of dressing but a line of divine authority that God looks for to cause His purpose on earth to be accomplished.
Father –> Son (Christ) –> Man –> Woman.
1 Corinthians 11:3 (KJV)
*But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.*
1 Corinthians 11:7 (KJV)
*…forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.*
In God’s master plan Man is the link or pipe for the glory of God to flow to the earth. And when man is missing in his place of authority and duties the divine plan is thwarted. I pray we will not block the flow of glory to our world in Jesus name!
This is the main reason why the devil is fighting male folks not to be committed to God or connected to Him. The enemy gave men the impression that they can win and achieve all by their abilities and strength. Hear what the scripture says:
John 15:5 (MSG) *I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing.*
John 15:5 (KJV)
*”…without me ye can do nothing…”*
Man is not designed to succeed without God, therefore, let us be wise!
Genesis 2:15 (KJV)
*And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.*
The Lord put him (man) in the garden to dress it and keep it.
Adam was an absentee landlord. That is the same thing that is still happening in many families today. If the divine purpose of God will come to pass in our generation, we need fathers who will not be absent from the “garden of Eden.” That is, Family responsibilities.
Manhood or fatherhood is a call into a life of responsibility.
For every decay you see in our society today, it is because a father had abdicated his place of duty, leadership and responsibility.
Luke 11:21 (KJV)
*When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:*
When a strong man armed keeps his place “garden of Eden” his goods are in peace. For every misbehaviour in the family, God is asking, where are you? For every confusion, failure, waywardness, drug addiction, cultism, death etc. God is saying, “father, where are you? ”
It takes spiritual and mental strength to keep riches. That is, the blessing of family.
Proverbs 11:16 (KJV)
*A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retaineth riches.*
God is expecting every father to be the head in the vision, prayer, consecration, sacrifice and in serving the living God . When the father refuses to keep his garden, satan gains access.
Naturally, children love their mums but they follow the lifestyle of their fathers. And where the father is not available they follow whatever they see which could be very dangerous.
*The way out:*
Every father who wants to make a lasting impact must stay connected to the the heavenly father. Until you abide under His authority, no one will abide under your own authority.
Live the life of prayer. In our
yesterday’s teaching, emphasis was on righteousness and wisdom. In addition to that, every father must know how to take his family to God in prayer also, he must pass the legacy of faith and prayer to them.
Luke 18:1 (KJV)
*And he spake a parable unto them to this end , that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;*
Man ought always to pray.
1 Timothy 2:8 (KJV)
*I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands…*
I desire that man pray everywhere lifting up holy hands. Until Isaac took up spiritual responsibility of prayer Rebekah remained barren.
Genesis 25:21 (KJV)
*And Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.*
God is looking for men who will dedicate their lives for the manifestation of His glory.
Nehemiah 4:14 (KJV)
*And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.*
Fight for your family.
Hebrews 11:7 (KJV)
*By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.*
Noah built an ark for the saving of his household.
1. Thank you my Lord for this beautiful day you have made.
2. Thank you Lord for your mercies and loving kindness.
3. Thank you my Father for the abundance of your blessings.
4. Thank you my heavenly Father for the gift of biological and spiritual fathers.
5. 1 Samuel 10:26 (KJV)
*And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.*

*As A Father*
1. Thank you my heavenly Father for the privilege of representing you on earth.

*For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers…*
O Lord my Father, grant me grace to always abide under your authority in the mighty name of Jesus!
3. John 12:49 (KJV)
*For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.*
O Lord my Father, grant me grace and wisdom to diligently represent you in the life of my children in the mighty name of Jesus!
4. Judges 7:17 (KJV)
*And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.*
O Lord my Father, grant me grace and wisdom to lead my children by good example in the mighty name of Jesus!

*Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.*
O Lord my Father, grant me grace to teach and show them the way of the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus!
6. Exodus 36:5 (KJV)
*And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to make.*
O Lord my Father, grant me access to kingdom wealth to meet my fatherhood responsibilities in the mighty name of Jesus!
7. Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
*… choose you this day whom ye will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord .*
I decree and declare all my seed shall serve the living God in the mighty name of Jesus!
8. Acts 21:9 (KJV)
*And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.*
I decree and declare, sanctification and purity shall be the identity of my children in Jesus mighty name!
9. Isaiah 50:5 (KJV)
*The Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.*
I decree and declare, the spirit of rebellion shall not have access to my children’s heart in the mighty name of Jesus!
*Interceding For Our Fathers.*
Thank you my heavenly Father, for the gift of biological and spiritual Fathers.
1. Isaiah 46:4 (MSG) *And I’ll keep on carrying you when you’re old. I’ll be there, bearing you when you’re old and gray. I’ve done it and will keep on doing it, carrying you on my back, saving you.*
i. O Lord my God, grant my Father good health unto the end.
ii. O Lord my God, grant my Father length of days in the mighty name of Jesus!
iii. O Lord my God, empower my Father spiritually and financially in the mighty name of Jesus!
2. Luke 22:35 (KJV)
*And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.*
O Lord my God, bless my Father beyond measures to be able to perform his family responsibilities in the mighty name of Jesus!
3. 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
*I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:*
O Lord my God, help and empower my Father to finish well and strong in the mighty name of Jesus!
4. Malachi 4:6 (KJV)
*And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers…*
O Lord my God, turn my heart to my Father as you have turned his heart to me in the mighty name of Jesus!
5. Ezekiel 36:11 (KJV)
*And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord .*
i. O Lord my God, grant me my heart desire in life in Jesus mighty name!
ii. O Lord my God, terminate all forms of delay in my life in Jesus mighty name!
Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.
Thank you Father for the uncommon results and answers.
Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!
See you tomorrow,
Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
*Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.*
