[7/26, 5:30 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: LIFE AND FAVOUR.

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*

*Understanding The Dynamics of Service Grace*

It is the grace that empowers us to serve the Lord/His kingdom and humanity in an acceptable order
1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV) *But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.*

Hebrews 12:28 (KJV) *Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear*

Service grace has its bearing on our abilities and capabilities (talents/gifts/potentials etc): “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Apostle Paul understood this dimension of grace so well that he took advantage of it and appropriated it in his life and calling/ministry:

*”If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace which is given me to you-ward:…whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of His power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ” (Eph.3:2/7/8)*

Everyone in the family of our Lord Jesus Christ has been endowed with certain potentials or given gracious gift(s) to serve God and humanity *(Eph.4:7).* Ponder over this:

*”Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us…” (Rom.12:6)*

*Be warned:* No excuse is acceptable for not serving. Be reminded of the man that refused to engage the one talent given to him and made excuses. This excuses were not accepted and he was called an unprofitable servant and thrown into hell *(Matt.25:24-26/30).*

After distributing the talents, His charge to us was:

*”occupy till I come” (Lk.19:13).*

We need to locate or create departments/units in the church to serve God and His people* with this grace that will empower us to render acceptable kingdom service.

When you refuse to serve with the grace given to you, you’re wasting/frustrating it. No wonder the charge:

*”we then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain” (2 Cor. 6:1)*

As we’ve all received gifts, we must strive to be good stewards of this grace in our service to God/His kingdom and humanity –

*”As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (1Pet. 4:10/11).*

They are faithful stewards (servants) because in stewardship (service), faithfulness is what matters most: “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

*Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful* 1Cor4:1-2

Remember this:
*”A faithful man (steward) shall abound with Blessings” (Prov.28:20a).*

In other words, *the blessings of service grace will find expression through faithful stewardship (service).*

I pray from this day the grace of God in your life shall not be in vain. I decree supernatural reward for all your service to God and humanity in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

[7/26, 5:30 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Trust God – he knows what he’s doing

Sunday 26th July 2020

‘Be still, and know that I am God.’ Psalm 46:10 NKJV

Let’s take a look at this Scripture. (1) ‘Be still’.Activity born out of anxiety actually prevents God from showing himself strong on your behalf. That doesn’t mean you can be passive or lazy; it means doing what God leads you to do without running ahead of him. It means submitting to him by slowing down and waiting. Why? To make sure you have a sense of peace to go along with the ideas you believe he’s giving you (see Colossians 3:15). Ask him to reveal his will; then ‘be still’, acknowledge that he’s in charge and he knows what he’s doing.

(2) ‘Know that I am God’. This means acknowledging that you are not God! When you don’t obey God, consult him or recognise his timing, you remove him from the throne of your life and end up trying to take his place. And you know how well that works, right? We hear a lot about goal-setting and vision. And it’s a scriptural principle, for ‘where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained’ (Proverbs 29:18NAS). But the Bible also says, ‘The vision is…for an appointed time…Though it tarries, wait for it’ (Habakkuk 2:3 NKJV). You’ll never fulfil your vision without the help of the one who gave it to you. Nineteenth-century American clergyman Henry Ward Beecher said, ‘The strength of a man consists in finding out the way God is going, and going that way.’

Remember, there’s no time lost in waiting if you’re waiting on the Lord. So don’t let a ‘how to’ seminar or a ‘type A personality’ stampede you into getting ahead of God, or attempting to forge ahead under your own steam.

[7/26, 5:30 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

Sunday, July 26th .
Pastor Chris

_*Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:11).*_

The verse above reveals a profound present-hour truth about the new creation: he’s dead to sin and alive to God! This is the perspective you should have of the Christian life; you’re to reckon (count) yourself to be dead to sin and alive to God. To be “alive to God” means to be awakened to His reality and realm of life, to be in conscious fellowship with Him.

Ephesians 2:1 AMPC says, _*“AND YOU [He made alive], when you were dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins.”*_ When Jesus died, you died in Him; when He was raised back to life, you came alive with Him. Colossians 2:13-14 (ESV) says, _*“And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.”*_

This is simply amazing! Before you were made alive with Christ, your sins and the ordinances that were against you were nailed to the Cross. In other words, both your sins and what caused them to be sin in the first place were all nailed to the Cross.

1 Corinthians 15:56 lets us know that the strength of sin is the Law; however, the very thing that gave life to sin, which is the Law, has been abolished by Jesus (Ephesians 2:15). He gave you victory over sin, death, and the grave. See yourself in this light.

The Word of God is Light, and it’s also a mirror that shows who you really are. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, _*“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”*_ Now, the Word says you’re dead to sin and alive to God; as you contemplate that reality in the Word, you’re metamorphosed into that truth—into the same image that is revealed in the mirror.

The image in the mirror is of one who’s dead to sin but alive to God and His righteousness. Your response should be, “Blessed be God! I’m dead to sin, and alive to God. I’m alive to His realm of life.” Walk in this reality. Hallelujah!

*I’m alive to God, awakened to the realities of the Kingdom! He’s real to me, in me and through me! I hear and know His voice; I know His thoughts, His will, and walk in His divine destiny for me. Hallelujah!*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Romans 6:7-11* For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. *||*

*||* *Ephesians 2:1-6* And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus: *||*

[7/26, 5:30 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *INSPIRATION*
(Giving direction to your day)
*Ola Aina*

Sunday 26th July, 2020

*Text: “Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.” Ps 141:3*

The door of my lips is an expression that means the ability to control what we say, how we say it and when we say it. This was a major prayer point for King David because he understood the place and relevance of words. Words are very important in the overall outcome of a man’s life.

Proverbs 25:11 says “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” Another version says “Like golden apples set in silver is a word spoken at the right time (ISV).” When words are spoken at the right time it will meet the needs of the hour and proffer solutions needed at that time. When words are spoken wrongly it complicates issues.

Marriages have collapsed and very viable relationships destroyed as a result of words spoken wrongly at moments of desperation and provocation. We need a lot of control over of lips in handling conflicts in life.
Having control over our words is a major sign of victory and maturity in our lives. Not every thought that comes into your mind is supposed to be expressed with your mouth. Some people even have the pride of being loose with their words.
A word spoken in two (2) minutes can create a life time of conflict. Words are potent; a word spoken today can last a life time. Words have the ability to produce life or death. Words can build or tear apart. These are reasons why we need the door of our lips to be kept. It’s clearly revealed to us in scriptures that when a man has control over his words he also has control over every other area of his life. A man or woman with loose words is a man or woman with a loose life. Such a life will be constantly under trouble.

In the name of Jesus I declare that my heart and my mouth are under the control and influence of the Holy Spirit. I declare that from henceforth my words are seasoned with salt and full of wisdom.

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. Matthew 5:29

READ: Matthew 5:28-30

28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

When hunters want to catch eagle, they tie a big hen in a place where the eagle can easily spot it. When the eagle is flying and it sees the hen, it rejoices, then it flies down to pick the hen. Unknown to the eagle, the hen is tied down. When the eagle carries the hen and attempts to fly with it, it pulls hard, triggering a heavy basket that falls over, trapping it there until the hunter comes. The hen is the eagle’s weakness; it cannot resist going for it, so the hunter use that against it. This is the same way the devil traps Christians who fail to deal with their weakness. This is why you need to discover and deal with your weakness fast before it destroys you.

Dealing with a weakness takes conscious painstaking effort. If your weakness for example is money, you need to consciously resist any temptation to steal. After you have resisted a few temptations to steal and it looks like you have gotten over that weakness, don’t be deceived to relax; stay alert. Moses had one weakness and that was anger. He seemed to have dealt with this weakness as the Bible recorded that he was the meekest man on earth.

“Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.” Numbers 12:3

When the Bible says someone is meek, the fellow is really meek. However, he relaxed and that same weakness that seemed to have been dealt with was what put him in trouble (Numbers 20:8-12). Just like hunters, the devil is very patient. Once he knows a person’s weakness, he will wait until the fellow relaxes, then strike. David’s weakness was women and that brought a curse upon his lineage sch that up until today, the sword has not departed from Israel, the nation is always involved in one war or the other (2 Samuel 12:10). Not dealing with your weakness can bring generational consequences. Stay alert; deal with that weakness and never take the devil’s bait.

Identify, resolve and deal with your weaknesses.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 44-48.

1. All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
o Refrain:
I surrender all,
I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

2. All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

3. All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel the Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

4. All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

5. All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame;
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to His Name!

SUNDAY 26 JULY, 2020

*Praise is the celebration of the Governor General of the universe. He is the Lord General of the universe.  He deserves your praise.*

*SCRIPTURE: For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. Psalms 47:7*

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Praise is the celebration of the Sovereignty and Almightiness of God.*

In life, every undertaking becomes outstanding with understanding. Anything that must be outstandingly impactful must be done with understanding. It is not what we do that determines the results we see but the understanding with which we do them.

Same applies to praise. Many people usually misunderstand what praise is all about. Let it be clear that praise is not just an entertainment segment of church; it is not used to fill gap in the order of church service.

*What then is praise?*

*Praise is the celebration of the Sovereignty and Almightiness of God.*

Praise is the celebration of the “in-chargeness” of God. God is the King of all the earth, and for that purpose, we sing and celebrate Him (Psalms 47:7).  1 Chronicles 16:29 says, Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. God deserves the glory. He owns the glory, so, give it to Him. Praise is the celebration of the Governor General of the universe. He is the Lord General of the universe.  He deserves your praise.

Now, what is the power of praise?

*The celebration of God, which is praise, attracts the manifestation of God.*

In 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 during the dedication of the temple of Solomon, as the priest celebrated God, He manifested Himself. You know that people are attracted to where they are celebrated and allergic to where they are tolerated. Wherever they hate you, you leave there. Those who talk good of you, you tend to spend more time with them. Naturally, you are friendly with those who appreciate and value your person and those who see the good in your life. But you leave those who see nothing good in your life but mistakes and errors.  God made us in His Image. When you celebrate God, He is attracted to you. To celebrate Him is to attract Him, and to attract Him is to attract all He carries. This is the power of praise.

*Remember this: Praise is the celebration of the Sovereignty and Almightiness of God.*

1. Make up your mind to praise the Almightiness of God always.

2. Maintain a lifestyle of praise to God through upright living.

*PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to praise You at all times. I receive Your help to give You praise with my life and character Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY READING: Isaiah 34-36

QUOTE: As a worshipper, you cannot go unnoticed by heaven neither can you remain unrecognised or insignificant because God seeks true worshippers. Culled from “ALABASTER BOX” by Dr Becky Enenche.*

*AMAZING FACT:* Jews and Christians have a higher education than any other religious group in the world. On average, the number of years of formal education for Jews and Christians is 13.4 and 9.3 years respectively.

*PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Proceed with the garment of praise and experience the goodness of God this day in Jesus’ Name.
