[7/28, 6:41 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Ephesians 1:11 (KJV)
*In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:*

Has it ever come to your mind that you wish you are another person or you are called to do what another person is doing? I want you to know you are very unique and God has an ultimate plan and purpose for your life.

Ephesians 4:8, 11 (KJV) *Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.*
*And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;*

God has a predetermined assignment and course for everyone of us. That course and purpose was set before we were born into this world. It is our responsibility to discover God’s purpose and calling for us, develop and follow that course so that we may give spiritual birth to the destinies He has for us.

Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)
*Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.*

God knows you and me before the foundation of the world and He set an individual course for each of us to follow. May you not miss your course in the mighty name of Jesus!

1 Corinthians 12:18 (KJV) *But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.*

Don’t wish you are an apostle when you are called to be a teacher, don’t wish to be a prophet when you are called to support the work with your resources. There are so many people in the church claiming to be one thing today and another thing tomorrow. Please stay in your calling.

1 Corinthians 7:20, 24 (KJV)
[20] *Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.*
[24] *Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.*

As some are called into sacred order, others are called into secular work. No one is inferior to one another. Abide in your calling and be fruitful there. We must know that we have absolutely nothing to do with choosing the gift that God has placed inside of each of us. He does that according to His own will and purpose.

Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
*His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.*

As we are faithful in the small things, God will make us ruler over many. God has the power to increase the Grace and gift in you as you are faithful in where He placed you.

Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)
*…let us run with patience the race that is set before us,*

Beloved, be sensitive to stay on course and run your race. Running another man’s race can never make you a winner. Be contented with what God is doing in and with your life, in due course He will lift you up if you faint not. Avoid unnecessary rivalry, show-off and competition for you are very unique.

2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
*I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:*

> Thank you my Lord for your unending goodness in my life.

> Thank you my Father for this beautiful world you have made for us.

> Thank you my God for the abundance of love and mercies I am enjoying from you.

> Thank you my God for always answering whenever I call.

1. Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)
*And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.*

O Lord my God, make your plan and purpose for my life clearer to me every day in the mighty name of Jesus!

2. Isaiah 14:26 (KJV)
*This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.*

O Lord my God, grant me grace to walk in your purpose unto the end in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. Isaiah 14:27 (KJV)
*For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?*

O Lord my God, let nothing hinder the fulfilment of your purpose for my life in the mighty name of Jesus!

4. 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV) *I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:*

O Lord my God, grant me grace, strength and wisdom to finish well and strong in the mighty name of Jesus!

5. Revelation 11:5 (KJV)
*And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.*

i. O Lord my God, you are a man of war, let your fire consume every force and power that is resisting my progress in the mighty name of Jesus

ii. O Lord my God, let every satanic agent that is hindering the fulfilment of your purpose come under judgement and fire in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Psalm 41:2 (KJV)
*The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.*

i. O Lord my God, preserve your blessing in my life in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my God, do not deliver me to the will of my enemies in the mighty name of Jesus!

7. Isaiah 65:8 (KJV)
*Thus saith the Lord , As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.*

O Lord my God, for the sake of your plan and blessing in my life, make me indestructible in the mighty name of Jesus!

8. Genesis 22:17 (KJV)
*That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;*

O Lord my Father, lift my head up and bless me indeed in the mighty name of Jesus!

9. Haggai 2:23 (KJV) *In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord of hosts.*

O Lord my God, let my life continue to draw men and women unto your kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow.
*Rejoice evermore.*
*Pray without ceasing.*

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:3

READ: 1 Samuel 13:7-14

7 And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.

8 And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.

9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.

10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.

11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;

12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.

13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

There is always something we desire, and sometime we have to wait a little before we get it. A secondary school student is waiting to graduate, then gain admission to a higher institution of learning, get a job and so on- and that is just within the family circle. In career, ministry, business, there is always something we are aspiring to get. Our attitude while waiting can seriously influence whether we will get it or not.

While waiting, never stop asking. John 16:24 says that you should ask that your joy may be full. If your joy is not yet full, don’t stop asking. I ask until my joy overflows. Daniel 10:12-13, Daniel had been praying for a long time and God had actually sent the answer to his prayers, but the Prince of Persia blocked the angel that was bringing the answer, until Angel Michael came to his recue. Daniel did not stop praying all the while that he was waiting for the answer to arrive.

The second thing you must do while waiting is to remain holy. Galatian 6:9
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Don’t go back to the world because the answer to your prayer has not yet come. Don’t look for alternatives to get your requests granted. Stay put with God. There was a particular sister in need of the fruit of the womb, for whom my wife and I were praying. At some point, she became weary and consulted a herbalist who did some charms for her and she got pregnant. That was over twenty year ago; up until now, she has not delivered the baby. Anything gotten from the devil must have been traded for something more precious than what he appeared to have given. I have noticed from my little walk with God that when He delays a miracle, it is because the glory that is coming with it will be great. Elizabeth and Zechariah had to wait until six months before Jesus was to be born because their first child- John, the Baptist was to be the greatest of all the prophets. Your miracle is coming with great glory, don’t miss it by looking alternatives to Christ.

Father, give me the grace to wait patiently for my miracle in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 49-53

1. My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away,
Oh, let me from this day
Be wholly Thine!

2. May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
Pure, warm, and changeless be,
A living fire!

3. While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.

4. When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold, sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll;
Blest Savior, then in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
Oh, bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul!

[7/28, 6:41 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

SCRIPTURE: Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
Proverbs 14:34

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Uprightness of character forbids the invitation of the enemy for the resistance of life and destiny.

Uprightness of character is one of the non-negotiable qualities for success in life and destiny. The lifestyle of character is a lifter of people but sin is a reproach (Proverbs 14:34). In Scripture, there are many people whose lives were grounded by the bankruptcy of character. Men like Reuben, Samson, Judas Iscariot, etc. could not fulfil God’s Purpose for their lives because of character bankruptcy. So, uprightness of character is a necessity for life and destiny.

Uprightness of character enhances success in life and destiny in many ways. Today, we shall look at one of the ways in which uprightness contributes to success in life and destiny:

Uprightness of character forbids the invitation of the enemy for the resistance of life and destiny.

Understand that iniquity invites the enemy to resist a man’s life and destiny. In Zechariah 3:1-5, Joshua the high priest stood before God and satan was resisting him because he (Joshua) was clothed with filthy garments. A garment of filthiness is a magnetic attraction for the enemy. You can’t avoid the devil if you are wearing his cloth. And the invitation of the enemy is an invitation unto resistance. The devil stood by Joshua to resist him.

Beloved, what you wear determines what you attract. What you are wearing determines whether you are experiencing assistance from the Almighty or resistance from the enemy. But uprightness of character will block all forms of enemy resistance.

Now, what does uprightness of character entail?

Uprightness of character entails the possession of a living, lively conscience.

Uprightness involves the possession of a conscience that is alive; a conscience that works (Acts 23:1). Acts 24:16 says, And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

There are people who don’t have a lively conscience at all. This is shown by the way they deal with their fellow human beings. Refuse to live such a life. Make up your mind to possess a lively and working conscience.

Remember this: Uprightness of character forbids the invitation of the enemy for the resistance of life and destiny.

1. By all means, determine to live in uprightness.

2. Do away with every filthy garment on your life.

3. Maintain an active and lively conscience.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your Word to me. Today, I do away with every garment of unrighteousness in my life. I receive the grace to live with a lively conscience, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
