[7/29, 6:10 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Conditional blessings

Wednesday 29th July 2020

‘If you diligently obey…the Lord…blessings will come upon you.’ Deuteronomy 28:1-2 TLB

Many of God’s blessings come with conditions: ‘Diligently obey…all his commandments.’ When you put God’s Word into action, you obtain his blessing. Blind Bartimaeus was begging when Jesus passed by. So he cried out, ‘Teacher, I want to see again’ (Mark 10:51 GWT). He knew God’s blessing wasn’t automatic, but it was within his reach.

In a Peanuts cartoon, Charlie Brown is practising his archery. In addition to a bow and arrow, he carries a paintbrush and a bucket of paint. He shoots the arrow towards the target, and wherever it lands he paints a bull’s-eye around it. When Lucy asks Charlie about this, he says, ‘This way I always hit my target!’

One author writes: ‘This is the way some Christians live…wherever the arrows of life happen to land, they claim was their destination all along. How badly do you want the blessing of God? How committed are you? The desires God placed in your spirit and the goals he set in his Word won’t be fulfilled automatically, but they’re attainable. First: you must build a strong foundation by becoming established in God’s Word. Second: expect to increase one step at a time. Paul says, “Walk in the steps of…faith” (Romans 4:12 NKJV). Results won’t appear overnight, but they will come and you’ll see the rewards of your diligence. Third: aim high, expect God’s best, and be willing to give him your best. Peter says, “Giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue…knowledge…self-control…perseverance…godliness…brotherly kindness…and…love”‘ (2 Peter 1:5-7 NKJV).

[7/29, 6:10 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: WEDNESDAY 29TH JULY 2020.

THEME: THE MATHEMATICS OF PRAYER.

MEMORISE:

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24

READ: Luke 11:1-13

1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

3 Give us day by day our daily bread.

4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

6 For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

MESSAGE:

In my book the Mathematics of Answered Prayers, I explained my points using simultaneous equations, but here, we will be using simple algebra. For your prayers to be answered, you will need to apply the following algebraic equation.

F (P+ W + R + JN) = Answered Prayers

Faith (F) is the constant variable that must affect every other element of your equation before your prayers can be answered. Hebrews 11:6 says:
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Without faith it is impossible to please God and of course if you displease Him, how would you expect Him to answer your prayers?

The next thing you need is to Praise Him (P). Psalm 100:4 shows that praises attract God’s attention and make Him willing to hear you. In fact, if you just praise God and don’t make any requests, He will ask you for what you want. This was the case with Solomon after he had given a thousand burnt offerings to God without making any request. God told him in a dream to ask for whatever he wanted (1 Kings 3).

Pray with reference to the word (W) of God. Before you bring a request to God, find out what His word says about it, then quote it back to Him; this is praying according to His will. James 4:3 says we ask and do not get our miracles because we ask amiss. When you ask according to the word of God, you cannot ask amiss. After this, present your Request (R). Lastly, make sure that you are presenting your request in Jesus name (JN). When you pray in the name of Jesus, you are placing the personality of Jesus behind your request and since God cannot deny Him anything, He will not deny you. He will attend to your request just as He attends to the request of Jesus.

KEY POINT:

Don’t just barge into God’s presence with your requests; make sure you have all that you need for your prayers to be answered.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 54-58

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

HYMN 24: PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOR.

1. Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

o Refrain:
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry,
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

2. Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.

3. Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.

4. Thou the spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee,
Whom in Heav’n but Thee.

[7/29, 6:10 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR.*
From:

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,
Lagos.

*STAND YOUR GROUND*

1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV)
[8] *Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:*
[9] *Whom resist stedfast in the faith…*

The authority satan has in the earth is limited to the natural man. His power and dominion do not cover the life of the redeemed of the Lord (believers). Therefore, we have the responsibility to resist the devil any time he shows up with his evil thoughts and activities. It is our duty to stop his operation in our territories and render him helpless.

Colossians 1:13 (KJV)
*Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:*

Through the blood of Jesus, we have been translated into the kingdom of God. We are no longer under satan, so we have to stand our ground to keep satan from robbing us of our sound health, fruitfulness, prosperity, joyful life, beautiful family etc. My beloved, don’t be quiet in the face of adversity again, roar! The scripture says we have been given weapons, then apply them.

2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)
*For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;*

What is our weapon?

1. *The Word of God.*

Ephesians 6:17 (KJV)
*And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:*

The basis of all our weapons is the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. You will agree with me that Jesus is the word of God. Whenever you release the word against the devil or any situation, it is the very life of Christ you are releasing and no devil can stand against our resurrected Christ. Whenever the devil comes with lies, release the word. For instance, if he is threatening you with his Covid-19, remind him of Psalm 91:10. *There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.*

If he comes with threat of death, answer him with Psalm 118:17 *I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.*

If he moves further, let him know that only God has the final say in your life.

Lamentations 3:37 (KJV)
*Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?*

The devil will always challenge you to test your willingness to stand your ground but exercising your authority as a believer will cause you to triumph over him anytime, anyday.

Galatians 5:1 (KJV) *Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.*

*PRAYERS.*

> Thank you my Father for your faithfulness and brand new mercies this morning.

> Thank you my Lord for the blessing of a new day.

> Thank you my Lord for the gift of life.

> Thank you my Father for supplying all my needs.

1. Galatians 5:1 (KJV)
*Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.*

I receive grace to continue in the liberty Christ has given me in the mighty name of Jesus!

2. John 8:36 (KJV)
*If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.*

i. I decree and declare, I am free from all oppressions of the wicked in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. I decree and declare, I and my household are free from the spell of untimely death in the mighty name of Jesus!

iii. I decree and declare, we are free from poverty and delay in the mighty name of Jesus!

iv. I decree and declare, my body is free from all forms of infirmities and diseases in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. Psalm 91:16 (KJV)
*With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.*

I decree and declare, if Jesus tarry, I will not leave until I am satisfied with life in the mighty name of Jesus!

4. Psalm 7:9 (KJV)
*Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.*

i. O Lord my God, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end in my family in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end in my office and community in the mighty name of Jesus!

5. Revelation 11:5 (KJV)
*And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.*

i. O Lord my God, release your fire against all oppositions to my progress in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my God, let your fire consume every force militating against the advancement of your church in the mighty name of Jesus!

iii. O Lord my God, let your judgement come upon all conspirators against your church in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Leviticus 26:9 (KJV)
*For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.*

O Lord my God, cause me to be fruitful in all that I do in the mighty name of Jesus!

7. Psalm 107:29 (KJV)

O Lord my God, arise and calm every storm raging against my life, finance, career, children, business, health and marriage in the mighty name of Jesus!

8. Psalm 90:14 (KJV)
*O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.*

O Lord my God, do not allow my testimony to delay any longer, satisfy me early my father in the mighty name of Jesus!

9. Psalm 145:16 (KJV)
*Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.*

O Lord my God, open your hand of favour unto me in the mighty name of Jesus!

10. Leviticus 6:13 (KJV)
*The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.*

O Lord my God, let the fire on my prayer altar never go out in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think!

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow.
*Rejoice evermore.*
*Pray without ceasing.*

[7/29, 6:11 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *SEEDS OF DESTINY*
BY DR PAUL ENENCHE
💝🥕🍊🍆🍏🍎😁
29th JULY, 2020

*TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING EXCELLENCE AND DISTINCTION*

SCRIPTURE: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Matthew 5:14.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To exist in distinction and excellence is to stand out in life or live an outstanding life.

The Scriptures make it abundantly clear that as children of God, we are destined for the top (Matthew 5:14-16, Deuteronomy 32:13, Isaiah 58:14). We were created to exist at the realm of excellence and distinction in whatever we do. Therefore, it is very important to understand excellence or distinction.

Now, the question is, what is distinction? What does it mean to exist in distinction or excellence?

1. To have excellence or distinction means to stand out in life.

To exist in distinction or excellence means to live an outstanding life. Joseph stood out from his brothers by the way he lived (Gen. 37:2). When people exist in distinction or excellence, they stand out in their family, class or place of work. To exist in distinction or excellence is to stand out in life or live an outstanding life. A call unto excellence is a call unto an outstanding life. To exist in distinction or excellence is to live an outstandingly enviable life.

2. Excellence or distinction means existence as a generational illumination.

To exist in distinction or excellence means to exist as a

generational illumination. When you exist in distinction or excellence, there is something about you that lightens your world. Once you step into a place where there is darkness and depression, light appears because you are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14); you are a generational illumination. To exist in excellence or distinction is to exist as the light that gives hope to the people around you.

What is my counsel to you? Make up your mind to exist in excellence and distinction. Make the choice to stand out in life and be a generational illumination.

Remember this: To exist in distinction or excellence is to stand out in life or live an outstanding life.

*ASSIGNMENTS:*

Make the choice to stand out in life.
Exist as light, revelation or illumination to your generation.

PRAYER: 🙏👸🤴 Thank You Lord for Your purpose for my life. I receive Your Grace to stand out in life and be an illumination to my generation, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: DEFINING EXCELLENCE OR DISTINCTION (PART 3)

QUOTE: God’s Servant, Bishop David Oyedepo has said that those who strive for excellence do not strive with people. Culled from “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Isaiah 43-45

AMAZING FACT: The world’s smallest Bible can fit on the tip of a pen. It is called Nano Bible, which is 1.2 million letters of the Old Testament etched on a silicon disk.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Go ahead and take your place at the top in Jesus’ Name.

[7/29, 6:32 AM] As long as you are holding on to the past, you will never be able to take hold of the future. The past can be an unbearably heavy burden when you try to carry it. The way to let go of it is to stop thinking about it. Get it off your mind and out of your conversation. Satan will constantly remind you of your past because he wants you to remain stuck in it. But you don’t have to. You can choose your own thoughts. You say, ‘I can’t help thinking about it.’ Yes, you can! Before he met Christ, Paul destroyed churches and put Christians to death. Now he was going back into some of those same towns, and who was waiting for him there? Widows. Orphans. People whose lives he had devastated. Had Paul not been able to move beyond that, he would never have fulfilled his God-given assignment. Now, Paul didn’t suffer from amnesia; he could remember the actual events. But knowing God had forgiven him, and that he had forgiven himself, he chose to forget the past. ‘…but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before’ (Philippians 3:13). Note the words, ‘…but this one thing I do…’ When you decide to forget, God will enable you to do it and give you the grace and peace to move on. Indeed, He will make you stronger and wiser as a result of it. If you are struggling with guilt, condemnation, shame, blame, or regret about your past, let God forgive you, set you free, and enable you to move forward.
