[8/20, 6:55 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: Overcoming rejection (3)

Thursday 20th August 2020

‘She perceives that her merchandise is good.’ Proverbs 31:18 NKJV

The mistakes you have made may be big, bad and oft repeated, but they haven’t changed God’s mind about you. ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. I will build you up again, and you…will be rebuilt’ (Jeremiah 31:3-4 NIV). Yes, God will correct you when you need it. But his correction is not rejection – it’s proof of his love. ‘The Lord disciplines the one he loves’ (Hebrews 12:6 NIV). God’s purpose in discipline is to develop you to your highest potential.

So don’t let anyone put you down. Be your authentic self when you’re with others. Focus on what you have to give, rather than on how others perceive you. Don’t put on airs, brag or name-drop in an attempt to level the playing field. You are already equal – even if you don’t have a similar education, experience, financial status, social standing or background. Since when did such things make anybody inherently superior to another – especially in the eyes of your heavenly Father? If your goal in life is to please everyone and have them speak well of you, your self-worth will always be at their mercy.

Solomon describes the qualities of a virtuous woman. Here’s one of them: ‘She perceives that her merchandise is good’ (Proverbs 31:18 NKJV). This woman wasn’t prideful, she was just confident in who God had made her to be and the assignment he had given her to fulfil. Her confidence came from within, not from without. Solomon ends the chapter in these words: ‘Honour her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise’ (Proverbs 31:31 NIV).

[8/20, 6:55 AM] Pastor Emmanuel Oshevire: *LIFE AND FAVOUR.*

*Rev. Anthony Akinmoyo,*
Lifeway Christian Centre,

Lamentations 3:25-26 (KJV)
[25] *The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.*
[26] *It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.*

Waiting is between “thus said the Lord and it came to pass”. Waiting is the period between sowing and reaping. Reaping does not follow sowing but waiting. *You sow, you wait, you reap.*

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 (KJV)
[1] *To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:*
[2] *A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;*

Waiting period is not an interesting time, it can be painful and burdensome, it breeds anxiety and agitation.

Psalm 69:3 (KJV)
*I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.*

Therefore, if it is not well handled, harvest may be lost. The following nuggets will help us to sustain our spirit and soul during waiting and also to preserve our harvest.

A. *Absolute Trust In God*

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
*But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.*

Isaiah 45:19 (KJV)
*I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain…*

Beloved, I want you to know that the good Lord that has promised you can never lie. In fact, it is impossible for Him to lie, so He will surely do what He promised. Besides, the quickest way to lose your harvest is to doubt God and His integrity. Your harvest requires faith as much as your seed because God responds to faith anywhere He finds it. Let your seed be wrapped in faith.

B. *Keep Your Eyes on The Harvest*

Set your anticipated harvest before you, then, your heart will be flooded with joy.

Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
*Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.*

Jesus endured the cross for the joy of resurrection and the salvation of the world. The same is expected of us. We endure waiting so that our harvest can come.

C. *Be Speaking Right Words of Faith*

Don’t allow the enemy to use your words to destroy your harvest. Also, your words of faith will influence the heart of God to respond to your seeds quickly.

Matthew 12:37 (KJV)
*For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.*

Do not speak your situation while waiting but speak your harvest. Speak your desire and not your situation, for God is committed to create the fruit of your lips. See Isaiah 57:19 and Numbers 14:28.

D. *Never Have an Alternative While Waiting on God*

Let God be God and Him alone. Don’t have a backup plan.

Psalm 16:4 (KJV)
*Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god…*

Ephesians 4:27 (KJV)
*Neither give place to the devil.*

E. *Be Full of Appreciation and Thanksgiving While Waiting for Your Harvest*

Romans 4:20 (KJV)
*He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;*

Thanksgiving is an expression of your faith and confidence in God, which will always move Him to act on your behalf.

F. *Do Not Consider Quitting*

James 1:12 (KJV)
*Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.*

Finally beloved, I want you to know that waiting is not a period of gloominess, but much activity are taking place in the realm of the spirit on your behalf. Angels are positioning to minister to you. Satan and his demons are being confronted; strategies are perfected. God is moving people out and into your life. God and all His angels are busy on your behalf. Therefore, rejoice, I say rejoice.

> Thank you Lord for another beautiful day you have made.

> Thank you my Lord for your mercies and loving kindness towards me and my household.

> Thank you my Father for supernatural supply of all my needs.

> Thank you my Father for the gift of a beautiful family and wonderful brethren to me.

1. Job 14:14 (KJV)
*If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.*

O Lord my God, grant me strength and grace to wait for my appointed time of harvest in the mighty name of Jesus!

2. Psalm 62:8 (KJV)
*Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.*

O Lord my God, grant me grace to put my hope and trust in you forever in the mighty name of Jesus!

3. Psalm 37:34 (KJV)
*Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land…*

O Lord my God, reward my patient waiting with an uncommon inheritance in the mighty name of Jesus!

4. Psalm 145:15-16 (KJV)
[15] *The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.*
[16] *Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.*

i. O Lord my Father, crown my waiting with unprecedented supernatural lifting in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. O Lord my God, do not let my season of visitation pass me by in the mighty name of Jesus!

5. Psalm 62:5 (KJV)
*My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.*

O Lord my God, you are my stronghold, grant me my desired harvest in life in the mighty name of Jesus!

6. Exodus 23:20 (KJV)
*Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.*

i. In the name of Jesus, I release my angels to resume their duties in my life.

ii. In the name of Jesus, I command all my destiny helpers to resume their duties in my life.

7. Zechariah 3:2 (KJV)
*And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?*

i. Satan, the Lord rebuke you, take your hands off my destiny in the mighty name of Jesus!

ii. Take your hands off my finance, family, health in the mighty name of Jesus!

iii. Satan, I command you in the mighty name of Jesus, take your hands off my children.

8. Psalm 104:7 (KJV)
*At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.*

Whatever force that has been resisting my harvest, the Lord rebuke you. Take your hands off my harvest in the mighty name of Jesus!

9. Isaiah 45:11 (KJV)
*Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.*

I command all the elements of nature to begin to blow favour into my life in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you Father for working exceedingly and abundantly above all that I ask or think.

Receive my thanks and praise in the mighty name of Jesus!

See you tomorrow.
*Rejoice evermore.*
*Pray without ceasing.*

_*For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17).*_

_In life, there’ll be circumstances or even people that’ll try to frustrate your aspirations for a happy and joyful life. Nevertheless, everything still boils down to your choice. Yes, it’s a matter of choice!_

_If a man chooses to allow the disappointments of others or the damning effects of life’s unfavourable conditions stop him, then he’d most likely live a frustrated life, unable to fulfil God’s purpose for him. Such a person would often vent his anger and frustration on others. He’d want to see everyone else unhappy because he finds no reason why they should be happy. This is the case with many people today._

_However, based on the knowledge of God’s Word concerning you, your choice can, and should be different. Choose to live your life in the light of His truth and make up your mind that your joy and fulfilment in life would be independent of circumstances. Choose to take pleasure in every day and enjoy the moments of your life. It’s His will for you!_

_In Deuteronomy 30:19 TLB, the Lord said to the children of Israel,_ _*“…I have set before you life or death, blessing or curse. Oh, that you would choose life; that you and your children might live!”*_ _This is as touching as it is instructive. He gave you the power to choose the life of blessings because that’s His desire for you—to live in blessings evermore._

_Life to the full, divine health, supernatural insight and great amplitude of mind, prosperity and wealth, a life of glory and ever-increasing joy; these and more are your divine provisions in Christ. But you must make the choice to apprehend and appropriate these realities in your personal life. Choose to walk in God’s Word and glorify God in your life today._

*Dear heavenly Father, thank you for giving me the life of blessings, full of joy and glory. I walk in divine health, supernatural insight and great amplitude of mind, prosperity and wealth. Thank you for your abundant grace and wisdom to rule my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 Peter 1:8* _Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:_ *||*

*||* *John 15:11* _These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full._ *||*

*||* *Philippians 4:4* _Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice._ *||*

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of 2 Corinthians 2:11

READ: Acts 28:1-6

And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.

2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.

3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

Many people, because of their high level of secular knowledge, enlightenment and exposure, believe they have answers to everything in life and may thus not believe in the reality of the spiritual realm. They believe there is no hell, no heaven, therefore no God; all things – sickness, accidents, death, infant mortality, business failure, natural disaster, physical disability, barrenness, murder, violent crime and so on, can be explained scientifically.

However, we are often confronted with situations that defy any human understanding; cases that are beyond scientific explanation, where an attack in the dream becomes a reality upon awaking, or when a person’s health is suffering but all medical tests reveal nothing wrong. The Bible in Ephesians 6:12 provides some insight into the root of the matter:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Spiritual activities have become an integral part of this present world, since Satan was thrown out of Heaven unto the earth (Revelation 12:12). 1 Peter 5:8 says, “ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” The solution to the devil’s rampant attack on humanity is fond in 1 John 3:8, “……For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

All power belongs to Jesus (Matthew 28:1-8). At His name, even the devil trembles (James 2:19). No matter the greatness of learning, research and technology, a very active spiritual realm exists. If you are born again, congratulations. You have the backing of Jesus to upturn all activities of the enemy against your life and family. However, if you are not yet born again, you are completely open to all the antics of the kingdom of darkness. Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior today so you can destroy the works of the devil in your life and family.

Father, reveal the reality of the negative supernatural, and Your superiority over it, in the mighty name of Jesus.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Jeremiah 41-45

1. All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
o Refrain:
I surrender all,
I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

2. All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

3. All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel the Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.

4. All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.

5. All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame;
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to His Name!

SCRIPTURE: Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 📖 Matthew 24:42.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: In order not to be taken unawares by the rapture and miss it in eternity, be watchful and live ready always.

In our previous studies, we explored the signs of the end time. And we have seen quite a number of them.

Now, what is my counsel to you as someone who is living in this end time? What should you do at this time to escape being taken unawares by the rapture?

1. Refuse to be a victim of the season 📖 2 Tim. 3:1-5.
Refuse to be swallowed up by the plague of the end time. Refuse to have a prayer life that is depressed. Refuse to be a victim of the bandwagon of this end time.

2. Watch your life.
Be on your guard and watch your life because no one can watch your life like yourself. Watch your life for the enemy is moving about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour 📖 1 Peter 5:8.

You need to watch because you don’t know the hour the Lord will come 📖 Matthew 24:42, 1 Corinthians 10:12.

Take heed and watch your life in order not to be a victim of the end time. The fact is, you may not be looking for sin but sin may be looking for you. Watch your life! In this end time, it is easy for people to lose their relationship with God. Under few seconds of one conversation, one discussion, one sight, one sound, one’s relationship with God can be lost.

David was a man after God’s heart. In his days, no one loved God passionately like him. He was an embodiment of worship. But in one careless evening of leisurely walk on the balcony of his house, he saw a naked woman. Maybe, he turned his face away but the flesh said to him, “Look again”. Then he turned away his face again and the flesh probably said to him more loudly: “Just look for the last time”. This was how he fell and committed immorality with the woman. This was the same man after God’s heart.

3. Live ready 📖 Matthew 24:44
Beloved, Jesus is coming again. He may come while you are eating, driving, lying, cheating, stealing, watching immoral movies, backbiting, quarrelling, smoking or drinking. Live ready.

Matthew 📖 24:41 says, Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Beloved, in order not to be taken unawares by the rapture and miss it in eternity, be watchful, and live ready always.

Remember this: In order not to be taken unawares by the rapture and miss it in eternity; be watchful and live ready always.

1. Refuse to be a victim of this season.

2. Be watchful and prayerful, and ensure a right standing with God always.

3. Always live ready.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for showing me what to do so as not to be taken unawares by the rapture. I receive the grace to be watchful and live ready always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: Since you know the time you are in, watch. Do not kill yourself and pervert the Gospel in order to gather people. Culled from “MAKING FULL PROOF OF MINISTRY” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING:📖 Jeremiah 43-45

AMAZING FACT: Human lips are hundreds of times more sensitive than the tips of a person’s fingers.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Grace to watch your life and not be taken unawares by any thing is released upon you in Jesus’ Name.
